Family of 6 stayed in 2 triple sharing rooms during the new year season. PROS: Space is Adequate. Extra bed provided which is comfy. Toilet is large. Snacks and beverages available all day which was great! Flat screen TV and a bench provided. With kettle and ref. Slippers provided. Lots of convenient stores and restos around so getting food is not a problem. A small night market is nearby and train station is around 5 minute walk. Customer service is ok. New Year's gift was provided. CONS: Hotel is hosted in a residential building and only occupies the 3rd and 7th floor. Signage is not visible and most of the taxis do not know it so better be ready with the address. Did not allow early check in. No restaurant in the hotel. Enourmous rate charges because of the season.

My wife and I booked a room for four nights but our two kids decided to join us for the first night. We called the hotel and upgraded the room to a suite for the first night only. We live in Beijing and have come to expect trouble when making adjustments such as this. Cai She Hotel handled the change perfectly. We paid in cash for the upgrade and changed rooms the next day. All handled perfectly by the friendly helpful staff. I have one complaint about the hotel and it is not a trivial one. The rooms were stuffy without good ventilation. We had trouble finding a room that smelled fresh and, in the end, conceded that we could put up with the slight smell: Our first room, a suite on the 7th floor, was great. Our second room was on the third floor with a window that overlooked an area where the service staff stored linens. We actually had staff walking past our windows, looking in. This odd setup is difficult to describe and not too pleasant to deal with, so we changed our room yet again. We looked at several other and decided to take a room on an upper floor with a larger bathroom. The windows were in the bathroom didn't provide enough ventilation to air out the slightly smelly room. Beds were comfortable. TV had English news (and porn). Amenities were just fine. The hotel booked airport transit for a bit less than a taxi would have cost. There was a small refrigerator. Breakfast was provided by presenting a coupon at the coffee shop across the street. The neighbor was quite nice - very close to a subway station. Lots of restaurants, shopping, a small night market. All in all, a good value and comfortable hotel.

Recently we stayed in this hotel in Nov 2014 for 6 nights for a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids). The family room is large as it has 2 queen size bed. Although my kids were 11 and 9 yrs old, they prefer to stay with us in the same room. There were plenty of room space in the hotel, we could accommodate 3 luggages and there were still plenty of room to move about. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. I made a firmed booking through Expedia for 6 nights in Oct 2014. On our arrival at the hotel, we were told by the reception that they did not received any reservation from Expedia. It was already in the evening and the hotel were fully booked. In addition, most of the hotels in Taipei were either fully booked or too far away. Despite the hotel being fully booked, the kind staff still manages to allocate to us 2 temporary rooms for the night. Although they were small but at least we got the accommodation settled for the night. The next day, the staff managed to assign us the family room. The room has the standard amenities including toothbrush, mouth wash, shaver, etc which is lacking in some big branded hotel chain. Although it was reported that free adult channels were available, however, these channels were located away from the channels. Thus, unless your kids has a habit of channel hopping from the start to the end, there is no risk of them discovering these channels. Pretty of free movies channels. Every room comes with a jacuzzi bath tub which we have it nightly. It was a great relief after a long day of walking and sight-seeing. Our bookings inclusive of free breakfast which were taken at a small cafe across the room using voucher. We could settle for the standard breakfast set or ordered something else and top-up the differences. This was a excellent arrangement than the standard hotel buffet as we could order whatever we like everyday. The staff at the cafe went out of their ways to satisfy my 2 kids. Do note that the building for the hotel is not exclusive to the hotel only. The hotel only occupied certain levels of the building while the remaining levels are private residence apartments. There is no security issues as there are security access cards in the lift for different occupants and all the floors of the hotel are monitor by the hotel reception. The hotel is only a short walk to the nearest MRT station which is what we looked for whenever we are in Taipei. There are plenty of supermarkets, convenient stores, eateries and restaurant in the vicinity of the hotel. This is a big bonus especially during raining season as these are located in the same stretch of building as the hotel so there is no worries of getting wet. The only improvement that I can think of is that they should have some hook or hangers for towels / clothing in the toilet. In addition, the tub can be a issue for bigger size user. Otherwise, we had a great stayed at this hotel. It has a Taiwanese home stay feeling with warm staff and reasonable price. Highly recommend if ones is not looking for a branded chain hotel but looking for Taiwanese hospitality at a reasonable price and great location hotel.

The rooms are on 3/F and 7/F. My room has 1 single bed, 1 queen bed, quite spacious, cleanliness ok, large flat TV. Room comfy, air con works well. The queen bed is rather short (I guess 6 feet only) and so they put a long bench at its end. The windows are at the head and curtains are short, so sunlight leaks to the pillows. I simply slept diagonally on my bed. The toilet has bathtube of jacuzzi, no curtains. As usual in Taipei, there is a hundred of TV channels. But for those with children, beware of 2 sex channels which are FULL disclosure. Many hotels or motels in Taiwan have such free sex channels actually. Understandably, it can be a shock to many people from other countries. You won't see it for free even in other open-mind countries like USA or Europe. The guest rooms are on 3/F (lobby) and 7/F in a multi purpose building. There are quite many eateries around. Nearby there is a small night market with street food, Wellcome supermarket and 24hr convenient store. The nearest metro station is Zhongshan Elementary School, 5 mins on foot. It's not in the most strategic location as one has to transfer lines for one or two times to the more popular touristy areas eg Taipei Rail Station, Shilin Night Market etc. Price is a bit high for me. Staff ok. In all, it's a comfy and not bad stay.

Stay there for a week. Clean room and have daily housekeeping. Room toiletries with toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, towel, tissue and toilet roll. Quite similiar to bigger name hotels. Free wi-fi which is a BIG plus. Lots of free TV channels including adult channels. Comfortable bed and room. Friendly and very helpful staff...big plus ++++ Location wise is quite good. Near to ZhongShan train station. Food choices within the hotel area is quite good with a day/night market (ye shi) less than 5 minutes walk. Oh, the dou hua you tiao at the eatery just 2-3 doors away is very nice and cheap. Convenient store at the same hotel block. Bus from airport drops you off at the Zhongshan train station. Some interesting things ... you may get some "interesting" entertaining noise from the room next door. We heard that during our stay there, and as a couple, does add some interesting atmosphere for us. The room we had a window view of the building across the street, nothing interesting there. Do have some late night noises from the street because the night club is just next door on the ground floor. Overall, nice hotel but not necessary suitable for family with childrens..might need some explaining to them regarding the next door room activities. :)

Overall I am quite happy with the rooms that they have. Room is spacious and clean. In terms of the toilet and shower cubicle, the height of the ceiling is too low which can be somewhat uncomfortable. Have many TV channels available, which they have a big flat screen TV for each room. Location is convenient to get to the MRT. The closest MRT stations are Zhongshan Elementary School or Minquan.
