Rich Garden is a well-maintained, well-run little hotel located just a few short blocks from the Ximen MRT station and the heart of Ximending. Our room came with a terrific multi-nozzle shower and a firm but comfortable bed. Breakfast was more than we could possibly eat. There’s a gym we didn’t use. Self -service laundry is free (including detergent). The staff is helpful, friendly and attentive. If you’re looking for luxe go elsewhere but if a well-located place to hang your hat is what you want you won’t go wrong at the Rich Garden.
My family and I stayed here for 3 days. We booked one double room and a triple room. Found this gem when searching hotels near ximending(used google maps instead of hotel booking sites). Most of the booking sites never recommend this hotel to me and not much review on other blogs. Definitely worth the risk! • Hotel is cheaper than any other hotel near ximending area. • 5 minutes walk in Ximending Walk Street. • Near CarreFour(24 hours grocery store where you can buy anything you need and cheaper than 7-eleven) • Check in and out was easy. • Staff were really helpful and polite despite of language barrier. • The building looks old on the outside and inside. But you will see the effort of the staff to maintain the building. It seems we are in a 4 star hotel. Very clean and smell nice(unlike other hotels we’ve been to) • Room size is bigger than any other 3-star hotel. • As per Agoda site, one of our room don’t have free breakfast but the staff still gave us a breakfast stub. They mentioned all their room includes free breakfast. • Breakfast maybe limited but we really enjoy it. The kitchen staff who greets us in the morning is so polite. • Before we go out, we ask for “Makeup our room”. When we come back everything is already organize, new towels are provided. • Same day of our check out, the hotel staff sent an email that we forgot a charger into our room. (False alarm, its not ours but still the Staff(Kevin and others) deserved a commendation for being so honest) We will definitely recommend this to our relatives and friends. …
Only five minutes walk from the Ximen metro entrance and the busy walking/shopping area. Stayed in a 7th floor Business Double room which was reasonably sized and very comfortable with an excellent shower and Japanese luxury toilet seat! Staff were friendly and helpful. The included mainly Asian breakfast was fine and plentiful, unless you have your mind dead set on a Western-style breakfast. Having researched a lot of local hotels before booking, I'm very pleased to have chosen this one and would definitely stay again.
We really had an awesome stay here. All the staff are polite and courteous, rooms are so neat and clean..bathroom is perfect. I can't say that this is just a 3 star hotel because it far exceeded my expectations. Overall, our stay here was perfect. We'll be staying here again when we comeback, that's for sure! ❤🇹🇼
This is a very pleasant hotel and certainly far exceeds the standard of most 3 star hotels I have stayed in elsewhere. The room was very comfortable and well equipped, with an excellent shower and particularly comfortable mattress and pillows. It was quiet and clean and the breakfast, although not great, was perfectly adequate. The staff were really polite and helpful and went out of their way to help me with various administrative issues and travel arrangements.
We enjoyed our recent stay at Rich Garden Hotel. A pleasant, informed, and articulate staff welcomed us even if we arrived way before check-in time. They made sure our luggage was stored the hours we were sightseeing prior to check-in and, when we got back, had already sent up our bags to our room. We booked the deluxe double - it had a good view of the street and was amazingly spacious. A comfortable bed and pillows were great to come "home" to after a long day out. The way the room was made up felt like 5 star service. The bathrooms were huge too, the primary treat being the warm Japanese style toilet seat, plus the roomy bathtub and separate shower. Topnotch. Breakfast was adequate, with a tasty oriental selection. We were expecting an eastern-style breakfast anyway so we didn't really look for Western food but there were eggs, sausage, cereal, bread, and coffee too on top of the rice porridge and eastern fare. The location was around 400m away from Ximending station which was fine with us and ideal in spring weather. If it were summer warm, winter cold, or rainy, it may be a slight discomfort since the walk was generally not a covered one. All in all, the hotel more than made up for any inconvenience, which was really not an inconvenience at all!…
This is a 3 star hotel. Staff is courteous and English speaking. Nice internet connection in the room. It is near a shopping/ night market area so you are advised to experiment and try lots of foods. I like the large fried chicken nugget and milk tea. The hotel, being small, is not too intimidating. Rooms are surprising large- brought my son - so we had a queen and a single bed.
I recently stayed there on two nights during my vacation in Taiwan. Staff is courteous, fluent in many languages (including Japanese, Chinese, and English), accommodating, with meticulous attention to detail. Best thing about this hotel is that it has an atmosphere of serenity - even the hotel guests were great - courteous, respectful, very well mannered. It really made all the difference on my vacation. Architecture is also authentic to the region, very eye opening. Free (yes did I mention that it's free?) laundry on the 8th floor is a huge plus, could not have imagined staying at a hotel without laundry access given how light of packer I am. Easy access to public transportation in a safe well lit area. Would highly recommend this hotel to every one!
The staff here were amazing and very helpful with good english speaking skills especially Jimmy and Terry. The location is close to Ximen station and downtown Taipei with lots of hustling bustling activity. Rooms a bit small but the view is lovely.
My friend and I have stayed there 3 years ago and found the hotel clean. The hotel even provide snacks (replenish daily). Toiletries provided are quite good. Quite good location, about 5-7 minutes from Ximending MRT station. Carrefour (24 hour) is just round the corner.
