The hotel rooms are equipped with private hot spring bathtubs. Ideal place for relaxation. Getting to the nearby commercial district is not so convenient since the hotel is situated at the inner part of the hill. Highly recommend to bring some type of vehicles along to this location.
Location is good and close to the thermal valley & main street (about 15min. walk). No shops nearby. Service is good and nice room view. Room soundproofing is not so good, can clear hear talking from another room. nice breakfast and hot spring pool. 位於地熱谷附近比較安靜的區域。早餐很棒,服務非常好,停車場比較遠,泡湯設備很棒。房間隔音稍差,面樹林房很優。
The hotel get very busy with groups of family gathering during the CNY period which causing slow service and multiple errors. We left our luggage after check-in for a walk, and were told that our luggages were inside our room, but at the end it took us three calls the get the luggage. The TV remote control did not function, we called the reception and they have sent a cleaner to help to fix it but unsuccessful. For the dinner, semi-buffet was provided during CNY instead of set dinner which they usually offered, the buffet quality was bad.
Room is big, clean and comfortable. There are also free water, snacks and nice lotions. After taking the hot spring, you can enjoy coffee and tea. Pretty kind service, I will definitely visit a hot spring here again.
Went with my sister for a quick trip out of Taipei. Lovely place and amenities! Walk-able from Xin Beitou MRT up a flight of rather steep stairs, but worth it. Complimentary snacks, coffee, apples. Service was good too. Would go back again!
We stayed at The Gaia for 3 nights. We loved the receptionist, Irene, who checked us in early with a smile and fluent English. My daughter turned 9 years old during our stay so Irene arranged arranged a cake to be sent to our room on the day, and helped me book a horse riding experience which my daughter asked for her birthday! The breakfast staff were also friendly and helpful. My negatives of the hotel include the small size of our room! It was quite cramped for us three, and felt claustrophobic after three days there. The gym was also small with limited machines. Children were not allowed in the onsen (hot spring bath). Overall I think it’s a hotel more for adults than for family with kids.
Away from the city center’s hustle and bustle, the private onsens at the Gaia Hotel provides such a relaxing experience to refresh and destress. Recommend to arrive late afternoon to enjoy the experience while the sunsets. You’ll feel so much more at peace once nightfall hits.
Very clean private rooms for hot springs with great amenities like free coffee, fruit, drinks, and snacks! We took the MRT from Xinbeitou but they also offer a shuttle from the Beitou MRT station. We decided to take their free shuttle on the way back.
Been hearing about the good things about this hotel and indeed we enjoyed a lot. We paid TWD 2300/ SGD 109 for 90min hot spring in private room. You can also enjoy cup of coffee or tea and apples after bath. Awesome and will be back!
For the price paid, the level of decency and service was up to expectations. While its nice to have a private onsen. It will be nice to try the outdoor piblic onsen for a different experience. Good to plan and spend half a day here in your mid or end Taipei trip for a great relaxation with onsen
