Recently I brought a group of 12 Americans to Piemonte and we took over the lodgings at Marchesi Alfieri. I can't say enough wonderful things about the warm, attentive, and highly professional (without being stuffy) attention we received during our seven nights there. The breakfast is delicious. S. Martino Alfieri native Giuseppina (Giusi) prepares lovely buffet tables of cheeses, meats,...

We loved staying at this B&B - the old cow stables in the castle have been converted beautifully, with 2 bedrooms sharing a living room & kitchenette for tea/coffee. Remember you are not staying in the castle though (which is used as a summer home for the family that own it). The beds were very comfortable, rooms beautifully decorated with...

Dear guests, thanks for your review that we appreciate! Just to be clear about our rates, you booked through booking.com a not refundable room without breakfast. When you arrived we offered you the possibility to add breakfast with a little fee that you accepted. That is the reason because you paid a standard double room with breakfast 125€/night that is...

This review may seem uncritical. That is simply because we found very little to criticise here, we thouroughly enjoyed our stay! Arrival Upon arrival we were greeted by the staff at the combined Vineyard/B&B-office. What struck us immediately - and this remained our full impression throughout our (way too short) stay was that everyone was not only polite; they were...

We had a wonderful time there. Rooms (ours was la "Tota") are very nicely decorated, you really feel at a friends's luxury house. There was aircond in the room, although we had not to use it. All the.staff has been very nice, they kindly made us visit the vineyards setup and offered to profit by the castle s garden (private)....

The Marchesi Alfieri winery belongs still to the noble family which ruled the surroundings for the last several centuries. The vineyards from which the wine is made are visible from the 17th century country palazzo which for the last 400 years served as a summer residence. The tour of the facilities and the wine tasting was very professionally performed by...

Marchesi Alfieri offered my husband and I a stunning and secluded romantic weekend nestled in the heart of Piedmont's unforgettable wine country. We highly recommend it! The room and adjoining private bathroom were large, well equipped, and newly refurbished. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, and the bathroom fixtures and finishings on par with what I've experienced at luxury...

Found my absolute favorite wine...ever! La Tota is my new favorite and is absolutely delicious! This winery is stunning. The grounds are beautifully manicured and the entire property is picture postcard perfect. So enjoyed experiencing the wines where they were created. We tried a lovely selection of reds and returned home with several selections. Highly recommend this as a MUST...

We stayed for 3 nights in the farmhouse on the property which is very large and comfortable for 8 people with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. It was very clean and private, and they brought in breakfast in the morning. Wonderful views of the valley from the house and a nice outdoor patio to enjoy. The wine tasting and tour...

If you are visiting the Piedmont region and love wine there's no better choice. This is a very well run property, just a few minutes away from Barbaresco, Barolo and other great regions. Where else have you seen an honor bar for bottled wine including VERY tasty Barbera and Nebbiolo -- all made at the winery. Your room is amidst...

The place offers a stylish, cozy atmosphere combined with all the charms of an operating winery. The rooms are elegantly furnished and spacious, located just a few metres from the magnificent castle and its wonderful park. Rich buffet breakfast, attentive staff and the opportunity to enjoy a free wine tasting experience. Great choice for mini-breaks in all seasons.
