Stayed with family, a group of 13 members from 17th to 19th Jan 2020. Nice resort, beautiful ambiance, nice play area for kids, spacious garden area to have camp fire, friendly staff who can hear, assist and customize your needs. They gave us a map and explained us the places that we can visit. you can take a walk into their estate attached to the resort. we have indoor games too for everyone..

Mr.Baldwin, PRO in the resort, went an extra mile and took us to the tea estate near by, explained about it, took us to the waterfalls nearby and made us have a nice time. Hats off to you for your kind service sir.

One area of improvement we could suggest is regarding the food. Though we have varieties in breakfast and dinner, some of the items could be improved. it's good to avoid maida puri and veg and non-veg curry taste could be improved so that elderly people also can enjoy. it's not too bad but could be improved well. Room service like cleaning, change of towels, etc could be done on a daily basis. Except food, we had a very nice time in the resort.

On 18th Jan, when we headed towards Mudumalai for safari at 5.15 AM, we got lucky to see a fully grown, massive tiger in the middle of the road just 1 km from the resort and seeing us, it jumped into the nearby TANTEA estate. It took few mins for my entire family to come out of that sight. When we came back and told our resort staff, they said none of them saw a tiger in so many years of living in that area. They also confirmed 2 tigers were spotted in the locality in the surrounding areas and it was in news in the local newspapers.

Another suggestion is go for self drive in the Gudalur-Mudumalai route in early morning or in the evening and you will get to see animals. you can't see much in Govt safari in Mudumalai, as they just take you inside for 30 mins and bring you back in a standard route. doesn't worth it and many of my friends also suggested the same.

Excellent resort in Nadugani. Very neat and clean, pleasant ambience and super awesome service. We never thought he place was going to be such a great find -Spacious and clean rooms with all the latest amenities, 24hours running hot water, Toiletries, Hairdryer, Clean towels, Children friendly Game zone (indoor and outdoor) which makes the stay really enjoyable for little children and older ones as well. Location was the highlight as it is around tea plantation and that makes it a delight if you are in for walking. You will witness stupendous views when you go around the place for some plantation walk and the breathtaking picturesque walk will make your trip worthwhile.

We went with our full family with kids and parents. We got everything we asked for which was like going out of the way to get all our needs met. All thanks to Mr Baldwin who is an amazing human being. Our trip became so special because of him and the way he took care of little things. He not only guided us with his inputs but he also ensured personally that we get the best. Just ask him and he will guide you for the walk tours to everything that you possibly can do around the place depending on what your interests are. Will remember the place for his hospitality for sure!

Thank you to the entire team at Misty Grove, you guys Rock.
Highly recommended!

We were a group of 8 members who drove down from Bangalore to Misty grove just to sit and relax and enjoy. This place is very well placed between Ooty, Masinagudi and Mudumalai. All the major tourist attractions are at a distance of 40-50 KMs from the resort. We went for a Bachelor party and the hosts Mr. Baldwin, Mr. John and Mr. Fazil were very courteous and humble. They were always attentive to our needs and suggested us few near by places where they could take us (on chargeable basis of course). We went on a weekend and this place was calm and serene. We got an entire lawn to ourselves for our bachelors celebration. The food was yum. Rooms very well maintained. Washrooms especially, very neat and clean. This place lacks a Swimming pool though. There are many indoor gaming options too. I would certainly recommend Misty Grove to my friends.

This is one of the best resorts I have stayed in. Highlight is the care and hospitality extended by each and every member working at the resort. Special mention I would make of Mr.Baldwin and the General manager Mr. Mathew. I have a slight disability that affects my walking and needed some adjustments for the washroom. Right from the time I connected with them in March 2023, they were very particular to make my stay comfortable. Once I reached in May 2023(stayed for almost 13 days) they ensured that I was well taken care off. Seeing my passion for singing, they organised singing sessions in their lawn with bonfire and all other resort members were invited too to share the joy. The place is surrounded by tea estates, weather was very pleasant. The rooms were spacious with all facilities well kept and tea and coffee sachets replenished( I was a compulsive coffee drinker 😀).
The mornings were very calm serene, waking up to the chirping of the birds.
Easily accessible in the main highway, I would definitely recommend a long stay in this place.

We had a stay in this resort from 5th of November to 7th November and it was wonderful and enjoyable stay. We visited from Salem and after a long journey to stay in a nice resort means a lot.
The rooms are well maintained and food in their restaurant was really tasty with good quality standards.
I have to appreciate the hospitality and service provided by the staff specifically Mr. Baldwin for his additional care and guidance in assisting the guests.
Overall it is a very nice stay and good experience

I stayed here for 2 nights with my family, had a very good hospitality, was budget and pocket friendly. Loving, humble and smiley service provided by their staffs.
In their Restaurant they have standard food menu, quality and taste was very good. Appreciated the cook and waitress. 24 hrs room service,

Rooms were clean and surrounded by greenish lawn and plants, if weather permits they will give camp fire, but during my stay was continuous raining so no camp fires. actually I went their to enjoy the raining with mist. Private Tea plantations are also available in this area we went their too.was nice.I drove up to pandalur and wayanad in a misty condition was enjoyable, but do cautioned driving,

From here thepakadu , masinakudi and bandipur are easily reachable, consuming full day, government vehicle gives 1 hour off road ride cost 340₹ per person that's enough. Timing 6.30 am to 10.00 am and 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm. We spotted group of elephants, bison and deer's,
Not advisable to take private jeep riders which cost 1800₹, 1500₹,1200₹, depends on your appearance and approach.
I drove my own car to all places.
If you are nature lover, and looking for mind peace, away from crowd, i recommend this misty grove hotel.
Appreciated and encouraging the team to continue the humble and good service.
Cheers.

A lovely escape from busy city life. Misty Grove is a hidden gem and they have managed to create something special here. It's a smallish resort with charming cottages... We traveled with extended family and booked 3 delux rooms in the same cottage. The rooms are pretty and clean, the garden is full of flowers, and the green plantation views all around are refreshing. The kids especially loved the swings in the lawn. Restaurant service is available throughout the day. The food is fine but menu is limited, adding some variety would be good here. The in-room and restaurant service is not up to to the par, so if you're looking for spot on service this place may not be right for you. Do keep in mind the place is still recovering from the impact of last few months of covid, and is functioning with limited staff. But they are eager to help. A special shout out to their PRO Mr.Baldwin... we had an amazing time all thanks to him. He will go above and beyond to help his guests. He took us on a walk across tea gardens and hills, and the views were heavenly. Another day he took us to a hidden waterfall through the jungle and jumping into that was really the highlight of our trip. He will also guide you regarding a trek/ drive in the gene pool botanical garden nearby, or a safari in the sanctuary if you're interested. Overall, a perfect couple of days in the lap of nature. And Mr Baldwin- hats off for your hospitality!

Recently, we stayed at Misty Grove Resort for a sum total of 3 days. My mother’s friend recommended this hotel and it was our quick plan to cool down after my board exams. Down hills of Nilgiris, Misty Grove is a small joint with nice ambiance and nice staffs.
As an accommodation, Misty Grove comes highly recommended. Having a family-friendly environment designed with independent villas, the ambience comes highly rated by my parents who appreciated the posh accommodation. A small game room, a park with swing, a fish pond and bonfire, which me and my sister engaged in the “resort”. Though a small resort, I really enjoyed the cleanliness and their hospitality is commendable. Amongst the staff, Mr. Baldwin (Uncle), the PRO who helped us and spared time to personally guide us to various viewpoints and landmarks, is greatly appreciated for his kind and amiable demeanor. Some other notable staff members were Mr. Mathew, who is the GM was always there at the front desk when in need, Mr. John handling the reception with a welcoming smile and Mr. Kurian from the Front Gate, all of whom were very friendly and hospitable. The service staff especially Mr. Sajeev and Mr. Jayakumar accommodated us extremely well at the dine. The food was also appetizing.
All in all, our accommodation at Misty Grove was top class and we definitely recommend it.

We booked the place at the last moment and went with moderate expectations. The place, although small was really homely and very well maintained. It is really worth every penny.
There are not many things to do in the resort itself other than just relax. There are some board games for kids..
The staff is quite friendly. Seemed a bit under staffed and restaurant was a bit slow.. we got around it by placing the order in advance and going once they confirm that the food is ready.

Breakfast was just ok and spread was what one would normally get at this price.

Must do: (The staff at the hotel would help with the details)
Visit Genepool which is around 500 meters from the resort. It has an amazing view point and some nice opportunities for hiking.
Drive towards pykara falls is a really wonderful experience. Pykara falls was also great.
Take a drive through the internal roads in the tea estate..
One can also go for safari at Mudumalai tiger reserve (20 Km) - we didn’t do it though as we had seen many animals during our drive from Bangalore.

Summary: Amazing place!! The area while not very popular like Ooty, gives you a great experience.
Truly enjoyed.
