Our weekend stay at Safari Land tree house was wonderful. It was a surprise trip on my daughter's 18th birthday and it was worth it!
The tree house was excellent and as natural as possible. The sounds of the forest and the river flowing by...More
Stayed for three days at Safari Land Jungle Tree house and 2 days in their facility in the town. I felt like a guest at someone’s house and not like staying in some hotel. First of all stayed with the entire Nawab family (who owns...More

SafariLand Resort is in the foothills of Niligiris and not in Ooty. April temperatures are around 30 Celsius in the Daytime and around 25 degrees at Night. It will feel hot and breezy and an occasional shower will cool things down. Treehouses do not have Air conditioning but rooms do. No decent independent eating places in Masinagudi though but the resort food is superb. This resort is more a pitstop for a day or two to enjoy the safari's and then to go on to Ooty.
Although it is the start of Summer in Ooty, temperatures will be in the 25 - 10 Degrees Celsius range. Room heaters are usually available if required in any resort / hotel. Hot water is also available in any resort as standard. You will find a large number of eating places in Ooty with varied cuisines from Indian, Chinese, Continental and also specific Indian specialties like Hyderabadi, Chettinad etc.
All big Hotels have a Bar, many restaurant's also serve drinks and you have many pubs in Ooty. If Resorts do not have a license, you can always buy a bottle outside at shops.
Advisable to make a reservation in Advance for April
