Kamala dreams is a hidden gem. We came in August for a week (ended up extending another week) and then came back again in October - that’s how lovey it is. Both visits we had the entire place to ourselves. On check in we had the option of an upstairs balcony or ground floor pool access room at no extra cost. The pool area backs out onto the beach front (about 30 second walk to get to the sea). The hotel also have a small bar on the beach front - amazing sunset views. The rooms are spacious and have all sorts of authentic decoration - makes a change from the classic hotel decor. The staff are lovely, catered to all our needs. Plenty of nearby restaurants, bars, local fire shows at Smile bar, and a supermarket about 5 minutes away. 5 star - highly recommended. Thank you!

We stayed here for 3 nights with friends. It’s a fantastic location right on the beach with a sparkling clean swimming pool, two great restaurants with very tasty food and very friendly staff. The owner Jan runs things very well and is very helpful. There is feee parking nearby and plenty of shops, massage places and cafes around. We hope to return for a longer stay next time.

Once again we have returned after four years and we have had a wonderful Time. We stayed in the newer part of the the hotel. We had a lovely room with sea view balcony overlooking the pool. As usual the rooms are cleaned and linen and towel change every day. The restaurant at the seafront was amazing which is run by Duan and Jan was a great host.

The restaurant is inside the hotel. Really friendly service and the fish was so fresh and good (steamed fish with lemon/chili). Family restaurant and you can taste it. Really worth it if you stay in Kemala.

We have visited Kamala 6 times now and find that Jan and his staff at Kamala Dreams are the best. The hotel is clean and right on the beach. They have added a pool-side/beach-side snack bar for daytime eating to further enhance the already great al-fresco breakfast and dinner restaurant in the front of the facility. Overall, Kamala Dreams is a dream destination for a beach holiday.

We have been in Kamala for a few days now when we decided to try this little place. We should of known something was amiss when we noticed there weren't many other dinners. We started off with fruit shakes, which were small and very watery. My starter of chicken spring rolls were small, barely hot enough, no chicken in sight and consisted of something mushy inside. The chicken satay sticks were edible as were the fried wontons. Each starter came out one at a time, so everyone was eating on their own. My main arrived before the last starter was served. My son ordered a pork dish and got chicken. Two of us ordered the beef Penang curry and the beef was dry and inedible. The sauce tasted ok though. My husbands main didn't arrive until we had all finished, and he ordered the fish. We had even discussed with the waitress what fish we were to be served. It was snapper. She then presented him with a beef dish. We sent it back and asked for the fish we had ordered. The fish was average and on the dry side. Please don't waste your time and money on this restaurant. There are so many much nicer restaurants. Even the street carts serve much tastier food.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. They must have had a sick cook as normally the restaurant is well known for it's tasty food, Please note that the kitchen is run independently from the hotel. The hotel just buys breakfast from the restaurant. Kind regards, Jan

This hotel is a little gem right in the middle of Kamala. The price was good for the money.Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants just outside the hotel. Stayed here for 14 days in February 2018 with my wife and we enjoyed the stay very much. The hotel room was large and kept very clean and the air conditioning worked fine. Friendly and helpful staff. One restaurant in the front where you have breakfast, lunch and dinner and can sit and watch the people and traffic and one restaurant at the back with nice view over the ocean. Here we sat many lunches and evenings. Soe. the waiter at the ocean front restaurant is a very nice and funny guy serving you with a smile every time as well as the other 2 guys I do not have the name for. The stay included breakfast and if you pay a bit you get a larger selection of food. The pool was nice an clean with plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The only thing was that the older type of compressors used for some air conditioners was a bit noisy at the times. Otherwise we slept very well. We loved this place and we will come back to one day for sure.

Very nice location with the beach in the back and the small mainstreet if you walk out the front. Spacy room (no 104) wich could fit two full size extra beds. Good cleaning and a nice breakfast. The restaurant/beach bar is lovely and the staff very friendly. The pool had maybe a little too much chlorine in it - but was clean and there was always sunbeds available. We hope to return!
