Well-appointed accommodation on a sheep farm outside Colesberg, with spacious child and pet-friendly two bedroom cottages at The Paddocks. Relatively close to the highway, so no major detour to get there. Clean, with comfortable beds, good bathrooms, self-catering kitchen and an open-plan lounge with TV. The staff were friendly and efficient. Truly peaceful surroundings - an ideal place to unwind...

Once again had a most wonderfu stopover at Kuilfontein with Oenny and family. Food absolutely delicious and just a fun start to a holiday. Lovely little pub as well as outdoor seating area and the most welcoming atmosphere

Kuilfontein Stables Cottages is a comfortable stop over on the route to or from Cape Town. The rooms are well decorated, comfortable and even has a TV. There is a pool to cool off in in the summer months and warm bedding will keep you warm in winter. The best part of a stop over is the dinners. First class...

We stayed with Penny, Lexi, Michelle and their competent team. What a lovely place, friendly, homely service. The dinner is a must - authentic home cooked South African food. Take your dessert and cognac (10 year old South African KWV brandy) outside after dinner and enjoy the cooler evening climate after a HOT day. Remember to put in your swimming...

What a little gem in the middle of nowhere! From the warm personal greeting, the wonderful personalized rooms, the friendly and capable staff, the sunset and then dinner... all organic and home made! Lamb as only the Karoo can deliver. Try the home made raw honey and grapefruit marmalade on freshly baked scones! Start your day early by watching and...

As you arrive at the gate a sign says: Free range people. It warns motorists to be cautious. My little 'stable' was labeled Streaker, which tempted me to do that as there is a sense of fun at this farm, although everything is well run with all the usual stuff in the room. An addition is a bit of history...

A wonderful setting midway between Johannesburg and Cape Town or the other way around. In the middle of the Karoo, the rooms are quaint and well appointed. While on our journey we were called by the reception asking about our choice for dinner - cannot wait for a taste of the Warthog being prepared. Sat in the pub watching the...

Now this was hospitality at its best - an experience I'd recommend my good friends to enjoy - the hosts are informed welcoming and gracious. Drinks and conversation that made time fly in the low ceiling and welcoming bar and the tastiest breakfast in a cozy red dining room just book and go!
