What a lovely, quaint, relaxed and friendly atmosphere to be immersed in at Combe House, Devon at its best. The beds are very comfortable, the breakfasts are excellent, both cooked and non-cooked and Chris is a very caring hostess. Colyton itself is a scenic little village with an interesting history and is conveniently situated at the end of the tram-line...

Combe house is a very civilised place to stay when visiting Devon. Chris is a wonderful host who makes you feel very welcome. When we arrived we were greeted and then offered some freshly made cake and tea or coffee. After that we went upstairs to our room which had a bedroom and an ensuite bathroom. The beds were very...

Very welcoming and friendly on arrival. The room was good with a comfortable bed. Tall people beware low doors in this 17th century house, but it's no problem. Chris is a lovely host providing great accommodation and a lovely breakfast with 'special' toast cooked on her Aga. We will return when next in the area.

Thanks for your kind words - it's not the tall guests who hit their heads it's the 'inbetweeners'!!! I'm too short to worry! The green room beds are extra long should any future guests be reading this. I agree with the toast issue - nothing nicer than home baked bread on the aga... Chris.

Combe House is a wonderfully unspoilt and quirky property. Chris is a splendid host who is incredibly helpful and friendly. She certainly makes her guests feel at home without being at all intrusive. We stayed in the 'Green' room, which had everything we could have needed. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the bed linen was beautiful. We had plenty...

What a perfect stop over location and B&B on route to Cornwall from London. All the more so by Chris who made us feel very welcome and the delightful breakfast in the morning. Would definitely stay again and hopefully next time for longer.

A lovely and convenient place to stay on our trip around South Devon. Chris was very welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. Our room (The Green Room) was very well equipped and the breakfast room very conducive to conversation with our fellow guests. The breakfast itself set us up well for the...

What a fabulous experience staying at Combe House - from our initial enquiry to leaving after our stay we encountered the wonderful care and attention provided by Chris. The cottage is very atmospheric - typical of the area - the Garden room which we stayed in was very pretty and well equipped including toiletries, copious towels, a fine selection of...

this was a wonderful experience. Chris is an excellent host and the accommodations are very well appointed and look out over the garden. This was a delightful stop on our way home from visiting our daughter and well worth to stop in this delightful village. There are very good restaurants in the town but I would recommend the Kingfisher, Separate...

Whilst needing accommodation for a surprise 75th birthday party, we booked in to Combe House as it was one of the few B&B's that had some space. What started off as necessity turned into a wonderful surprise! Chris was extremely welcoming into her charming, 3 bedroom B&B where we were shown around the property and introduced to her two lovely...
