What a gem found by chance when seeking a lastvminute b&b for a night. I fell in love at first sight of the house and lovely garden bathed in the evening sun and so peaceful. I had the only single room which was immaculate, tasteful and very comfortable. The visitors lounge was lovely though i didnt have time to use...

A gorgeous looking thatched cottage with bags of character in the little village of Colyton, was a great find on Booking.com. Jane is a charming host and her and her husband made us feel very welcome. White Cottage is probably the cleanest place we have ever stayed in - everything was spotless, and well decorated and furnished. The room was...

A warm welcome to an excellent B& B set in a lovely garden with self catering holiday cottages. The two bedrooms we had were spacious with really comfortable beds. Although on the main road there was no disturbing noise during the night and the breakfast was tasty with friendly and helpful service. The only small criticism was that given the...

Me and my husband stayed in the b&b for 4 nights and have no complaints at all. The room we stayed in was large and very comfortable. The building is a gorgeous listed building with lots of character and situated in a beautiful little true Devon village. The owners are really friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is high quality and...

A delightful place to stay with a very friendly welcome too. We loved everything about it from the large wooden beams in the room, to the excellent cooked breakfast in the morning. Everything is spotlessly clean, and the large king size bed was very comfortable. In the garden which has a very impressive tree in it we met up with...

Buckets of character throughout the building, I really like the beams. The room was great, seemed like a brand new bathroom but worked really well with the old feel to the place. Staff couldn't of been nicer. Breakfast really good too. I stay all over the country for work and it's usually the little things that places get wrong but...

We have just returned from a lovely week in Briar Cottage. Perfect for a couple, very high standard of fixtures and fittings. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen - dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and excellent selection of cookware. Lovely crisp cotton bed linen, towels & teatowels provided. The most comfy bed!! TV with inbuilt DVD player. The hosts...

Quite an old building with lots of character. Flag stone floors on the ground floor and varying level floors on the upper floors. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable with excellent bathroom/en suite. Breakfast to die for with plenty of choice. All in all a thoroughly recommendable establishment.

We stayed here for my cousins wedding. The place was lovey. Lloyd and Jane went out of their way to ensure that our stay was perfect for our entire family and especially the bride to be. It's a beautiful place, the beds are comfy, garden is beautiful and the service is great. Highly recommend.

A lovely cheerful welcome greeted us as we arrived at the White Cottage and parked in the decent sized car park at the rear of the property. We were guided to the house through the very pleasant gardens and up to or very pleasant room through the delightful old building. A pleasant breakfast followed a pleasant night’s sleep. If I...
