The old building still breathes the tranquil air of a monastery, the new wing is very well adapted to the garden path. A large cloister garden is still inside with a great variety of apple and pear trees. I can recommend for all tourists planning to see Salzburg and the sourroundings at a very fair price. From Oberndorf on the...

The building is beautiful, with a cosy inner courtyard, and its location is central and convenient. However, the rooms are very small with minuscule bathrooms. The windows open into a glass-enclosed balcony, which acts as a greenhouse and makes the rooms hot and stuffy. Summer nights sleep is very uncomfortable. Also there is no refrigerator in the rooms, which is...

3-night break arranged for us, via Twinning link, so pleasant surprise on arrival at Kapuzinerhof. Convenient location, near to main facilities in Laufen, river Salzach and handy for train link from Munich and on to Salzburg. Bedroom and bathroom very clean, comfortable and a good size. Breakfasts amazing and we dined in-house 2 nights out of 3 - excellent, good-quality...

The Kapuzinerhof is one of my favourite hotels in Germany. It combines a traditional monastery atmosphere with a comfortable and modern lifestyle. Next to the border to Salzburg (Austria) it is located close to the Salzach river in the heart of the little German historic village called Laufen. Enjoy a walking tour through the village before having a typical and...

This hotel is right on the border of Germany and Austria. The rooms are small but the place is truly historical and amazing. Restaurants food is very good quality and the staff are very nice. The hotel Itself is the main attraction of the town but one can enjoy walking beside the river Salzach.

The Hotel has a new room building, very modern and clean. We were on the way to Berchtesgaden and stayed for one night. The room was ok, not very large, bathrom nice and clean. We missed a A/C or maybe some fly-screens when you opened the window. We enjoyed the good breakfast and thank for welcome our dog!

We were actually enroute from Munich to Salzburg when the once-in-400-year flooding in central Europe caused the Salzach (and many other rivers) to overflow. All the bridges over the Salzach were closed. Luckily the Kapuzinerhof had some rooms available, and we stayed there. The staff was extremely helpful in a difficult situation. We didn't know what to expect in terms...

The Kapuzinerhof Hotel has a lot of history associated with it since it was a Monastery at one time. Today it is a modern hotel that is clean and has been modernized to meet all of today’s must haves in lodging. Breakfast is included with every stay and is typical German fare, including fresh cheeses, meats, eggs and various rolls...

The Kapuzinerhof is in a converted monestry just off the main through road and close to the town gate. Laufen is sort of twinned with its Austrian neighbour across the Salza river. The hotel has a new extesnion perfectly aimed at busines travellers and conferences and nicely offsett by the old stye refectory eating hall, and gardens. Staff are excellent...
