This is a well developed little place with heaps of character, not only in the accommodation choices themselves but also in the grounds. On the premises you can take an Orchard Walk or a Flestering Walk, and the property is within walking distance of Mt Tibrogargan (two great hikes) or driving distance to many other places. There's lots of info...

We've been looking forward to staying at the Glass house mountains Eco lodge for quite some time and it lives up to every thing and more we've read about , I cannot see how any one can give this place a bad rating. You also have a good chance of meeting people from other parts of the world who have...

Needing a quick stopover we chose this simply because it was available at short notice and we are so thrilled that we did. Booking directly with the ecolodge itself and not through any other website was to our advantage. We scored the Red Train carriage and were just bowled over by the warm welcome and continuous surprises this stay had...

We were not disappointed. We stayed in a Orchard Rm as this was all they had at time of booking, which we did book 6 mths earlier. Double room with the use of a communial area in a Train carriage. Full kitchen, b/cue area and seating. Our rm was lovely. We had own ensuite and shared verandah with other 3...

The owners' friendly service and hospitality was amazing, along with beautiful views for a great price! The garden, and carriage buildings were amazing as well, with the communal layout of the kitchen creating a better atmosphere for everyone, allowing us to make friends with others who stayed there. Definitely going again!

Keith has a wonderful and sincere vision that he has implemented over the last 20 years and is on site and is as energised as the day he started. Amazing philanthropist, so lovely to know there are good people on the planet. The whole complex is a credit to him and a positive voice for the future.

Novel! We were upgraded to a 1900s restored Queenslander train carriage. Right in the middle of nowhere much. Beerwah is nearest town with pub. Bedroom, sitting area and kitchen facilities in carriage. Large self-use kitchen facilities and bbq for cooking own food if you bring it. There used to be no dinner available here so you had to go to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the heart of a National Heritage treasure, the Glasshouse Mountains Ecolodge offers a unique ecological experience of this fascinating area of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland in South East Queensland. It makes a fantastic base from which to explore the 26 million year old volcanic plugs that make up this incredible landscape, as well as the coastal beaches and hinterland villages. During your stay at the Ecolodge (set on 5 acres of orchard and forest beside a small creek) you can discover bush tucker, enjoy nocturnal frog spotting and bird watching (over 60 different types of birds have been seen). A great place to relax and unwind in this peaceful and quiet nature haven with its birds, butterflies, dragonflies, and even kangaroos. National park walks start 400 metres from the front entrance. Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo is just 10 minutes away and the Ecolodge is only an hour north of Brisbane. ... more   less
