The campsite is situated on a hillock flanked by the Phansad wildlife sanctuary and the majestic Arabian Sea, with access to a secluded beach located just a stone's throw away. The beach itself is away from the main tourist attraction, which lets you enjoy its pristine white sands and unpolluted waters at your leisure. Relax in the cooling sea breeze in our shacks made completely from bamboo and hay. If you prefer to spice the evenings, we even arrange private beach parties and boat rides. You can while the afternoon away fishing, or indulge in more vigorous activities such as beach volley ball and cricket, snorkelling, and sailing.

While staying on business trip in Navi Mumbai, I decided to take a weekend getaway from city to spend some time on beach to relax with my friend. Oragnized this trip at last minute, so I can't rate adventure activities, to oraginze some you have to inform the staff prior full payment, they are extra charged. But whole trip was adventure itself. If you are travellng by ferry from Gateway to Mandwa, prepare for 4-5 hours long journey. Fastest way to get from Mandwa to Alibaug is by bus operated by one of those ferry carriers. We took a rickshaw from Alibaug to camp site. Roads are sometimes in very bad condition, so average speed was between 30-40 kilometers per hour, but nevermind. Staff was very kind and friendly. Variety of food was prepared at time of our arrival. There were

HI I had a blast at Khasid what a time, I generally like my luxuries.....but decided to go camping as i wanted to experience the same before i take my kids with me........I must say that the facilities were more than i expected at a camp site, yes there was no wake up call, nor was there a room service attendant, and no one to do my bed either hehehe.........but i tell you when you have to do things yourself the fun starts there. All had great views and all were treated equally well. No business class preference or suite room VIP service here. It was democracy. Thats i what camping is. If you are the cribbing types then i suggest you dont go camping. Camping is raw, and that is what they provided. Getting like minded people is tough and what lets camp out guys did was awesome.

The isolation adds to the whole camping experience. Great location, good service, excellent equipment. The camp-fire was the only let-down, it burnt out in 15 minutes. The food especially the barbecue was excellent. If you have very small children then the location is a bit risky as the hill has quite an abrupt cliff kind of edge. Do take into consideration the moon into the booking date as we went on a no moon night so we could not see the sea at night. It would have looked great if there was some moon light. And the dry-pit toilet isn't bad !
