To escape the many loud parties, we visited Let's Camp Out on the 31st of Dec 2014 to bring in the new year. It was me, the hubby and another friend. We were amongst the first people to reach and got the tent at the edge of the hillock, overlooking the Arabian sea. The campsite is set up on a hillock that rises on a pristine and lesser known beach. The beach is beautiful and surprisingly clean. Be warned that its a rocky shoreline replete with shrubbery growing on the water edge. Quite different from your usual beaches. The campsite is clean and I did not find littering. Thank the Lord. We carried back our trash the little we created. This ain't a hotel, manage your own trash. The campsite has a big covered dining area, and around 10-12 tents. For another group having their…
Traveling in March, we arrived here with an unexpected downpour. Unfortunately the staff was ill equipped and had no prior arrangements to help us. We were surprised to see that we had to almost cajole them into giving us a back up plan. (we reached there at 5 pm and it had been raining since the morning, surely they could have thought of something by then?!) We were then offered to either pack up and go back or stay in their humble guest house down the hill. Since we were up for roughing it out, the 12 of us decided to bring the tents under a make shift, thatched roof shed (we asked them for tarpaulin to put on the roof so that the rain wouldnt come in, but they didnt have that either.) The camp site was beautiful, despite or even owing to the rain! Would just like to point…
We were here right at the beginning of the year and travelled during the weekend to the location. After going through all the reviews on tripadvisor, i was expecting a decent camping site with adequate facilities. My expectations were met. We were the first ones to arrive so had the pick of the tent. A staff met us at the parking area and helped in carrying out small handbag and backpack to the tent. We needed his guidance to reach there. The location is on a small raised area which is secluded and overseeing the sea. During evening we went for a stroll at the beach. the place was spic and span and i was happy that human trash had not reached the rocky beach area. we went deep into the rocks and sat down by a big rock and experienced the setting sun and the increasing water of…
Have you been wondering what it will be to go out camping? Do you like outdoors and would love a quiet night on the sea listening to waves crashing into the rocky shore? Would you like to sit around a campfire and have candid discussions? Do you want to spend a romantic evening with your spouse under the starry sky? Do you wonder how will it be to go close to nature and experience calmness and silence as evening falls? Are you sensitive towards environmental degradation? If Yes, then ‘LetsCampOut’ Kashid is definitely not the place you want to go to. I realize now, why there isn’t one camp site in Maharashtra that appears in the best 50 campsites in the country. Its not the place… its something else. Let me describe where Lets Camp Out is located. This place is on a hillock…
We 3 friends planned our trip on 27-28 December so that we could end the year 2014 in a bang. It was a wonderful experience right from the moment we reached the camp. The view of the Arabian Sea was breathtaking. We could just sit there facing the sea enjoying the winds and waves. We enjoyed the sunset from our tents. The tents were super comfortable and well lit with solar lights. As it was the year end LetsCampOut had organized a Out and Loud event on campgrounds. We sang, laughed and enjoyed that event with lip smacking barbecue. Followed by the dinner which included authentic Konkani cuisine including roti made from rice (yes they make that) and delicious chicken gravy and steam rice. Next morning, there is nothing better than the view of sea when you wake up and enjoy tea…
