"Mannaas Veedu" is a countryside homestay made in the traditional Kerala architecture and located in the most beautiful and unexplored part of Central Kerala. It has the advantage of being centrally located as Kochi Airport is just three and half hrs drive, Kovalam Beach 3 hrs.(80km), Periyar being about 3 hrs drive and Alleppy backwaters just one hr. drive and one hr. 15 min for Kumarkom from Mannaas Veedu. USP of Mannaas Veedu is the Elephant Camp, Konni which is just 30 min. drive where you can have a date with the elephants feeding them and having shower with them. Most important is that Mannaas Veedu lies on the most popular route between Periyar and Kovalam (is the shortest route) and can be the perfect stopover for the guest.

We were welcomed by Alex, his family and staff with a fresh drink and a flower garland. The plantation and house are tucked away in a very quiet area, our room was great, of a good size, clean, well maintained and air-conditioned. The food was excellent and lots of ingredients came from the house garden. This is a very relaxing place, Alex, his wife and their staff are very attentive and look after all your needs. Alex took us to a local temple which we were very privileged to be able to enter, it was an amazing experience. My wife took advantage of the ayurvedic treatments they offer and had a head massage which was excellent.

There are so many places to say Ayurveda . If you are looking for a real place where you feel like home you have to come here. You will treated as a family member, all the food is prepared with details, fantastic taste, most of the ingredients from the local garden, herbs and spices are unique. The room is super clean and very comfortable. The treatment was very special, not like other places. Everything is in the details what you get here and you feel yourself like you would visit your best local friend. Come and visit the real healing touch here! I liked the place very much! Thank you for the hospitality🙏🇮🇳

Dear Dr. Sandhya Rao, Thank you so much for the great comment. When an appreciation letter says nice things about us, it amounts to volumes and become our ambassador. How can I express my gratitude for the same through some letters? It is a great support for us. Let me thank you once again for visiting us and writing a great comment about us. If you have plans to visit this region again, kindly inform us as we are always ready to host you as many times as you wish. Regards, Aji Alex & Team

The place has amazing ambience for a complete rest and rejuvination away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The food and accommodation is devine. For medical treatments there are well versed doctors to prescribe the exact treatment suited for your needs. The staff are capable and made me feel right at home. I had a complete recovery from severe backpain after an 8days treatment. I recommend this for couples and families.

We were two families staying for 3 nights in Manaas Veedu for Sabari Malai pilgrimage. Aji and his family were excellent hosts and did their best to accommodate our needs despite the heavy rain. The host helped us with shopping for the pooja for the pilgrimage, provided suggestions for our trip with their past experiences, arranged for early morning Pooja, arranged for trips within the town and what not. It was like visiting a relative who did the very best best they could to keep the guests comfortable. We had little kids in the group and the family was very accommodating by providing everything needed from hot food, milk, hot water etc. The food was excellent home-cooked, freshly prepared and served for us every time with care. I will not hesitate to stop by Manaas Veedu another time and highly suggest this place for your stay.

We stayed at this accommodation during a tour of Kerala in September. Aji Alex the property owner welcomed us personally to his home and we were shown to our room which was very comfortable. They arranged a trip to local businesses and a temple showing us the local area, which was recovering from the recent monsoon floods. The food was excellent, a true taste of the local cuisine, all cooked by our host and served by very attentive staff. There was free wifi, and as it is an Ayurveda retreat treatments were available, but unfortunately as we were only there for one night the time eluded us. The house is set in lovely well maintained gardens and so peaceful and tranquil. Would highly recommend a stay at these premises.

Lovely property, albeit a bit hard to get to. Stayed here for one night as part of larger group. The staff are amazing with a fantastic service mindset, it's easy to become used to european guests and the switch to Indian guests can be tough for the staff - but i found that this resort was splendid at it. The spa treatment was amazing and was a much needed recharge. The food options are limited for vegetarians, especially if you are not used to Kerala cuisine. However, the ingredients were fresh and they were open to special requests we made. Overall, will surely make a trip back with family.

We had our itinerary changed because of the flooding in Kerala. We were lucky to experience the hospitality at Mannas Veedu. It was a nice change from a hotel. Everything you eat comes fresh from their organic farm. They serve Keralan cuisine which blends Indian and European taste. I they also run a Ayurveda spa and clinic. Unfortunately we were only staying the night, so no time to experience any treatment. We stayed in one of the cottages, which was spacious and well equipped. Our host took us on several local tours, which were nice. The elephants are close by to visit. Well worth a visit for the personal touch.
