Detailed Reviews
We decided to spend our New Years at The Orchard. We took the overnight train from Delhi which is definitely a great option for people like me who don't like long car journeys. The owner (Mr. Bansal) had already connected me to a taxi guy at Kathgodam who was waiting for us when we reached. After a 2 hour journey, we were at The Orchard by breakfast time.
The place is absolutely stunning. Food, staff and property - are all perfect. Perched on a hill, the view of Panchuli range is breathtaking. In the middle of a village, we found ourselves in the lap of luxury! The staff was extremely polite and catered to every demand of ours. Every night, they would place a dupatta of the next day's color with a note explaining the relevance. They also put soaked almonds on our bedside and instead of plastic bottles, gave us glass bottles with RO water.
The chef deserves a standing ovation. Each meal was like a ritual. We had Mexican, Italian, Nepalis, Pahari and Continental. My personal favourites - Eggs Benedict for breakfast and Mexican lunch.
It was the perfect getaway from our busy lives and I can't wait to go back again in the summer!

A two-day stay at The Orchard turned into a delightful four. Purposefully designed spaces throughout the property created distinct experiences, ensuring each meal and all time spent was memorable. A snuggly bonfire evening overlooking a cactus garden was one of many. Colourful stained glass in the rooms made for dreamy mornings at sunrise. We were served unparalleled food from an expansive variety of cuisines, all from fresh local ingredients. The warm entrée soups and bedside soaked almonds screamed attention to detail and made us feel truly looked after. A very kind host and his furry companions made this a most special trip. We were especially lucky to visit at a nascent stage of Abhimanyu’s art initiative to clean and add value to Peora. Be sure to look out for The Peora Kollectiv on the road to the property. Thank you for sheer luxury in the midst of stunning mountain views. We’ll be back very soon!

One of the best places where you can spend with your family or even a Honeymoon stay. They will make everything special for you be it Food, Treck, Special Candle Light Dinner etc. Best part is they make everything In-House they don’t get anything from outside. Hospitality is Amazing. Would recommend everyone who is visiting Mukteshwar should only stay here.

Visited The Orchard at Peora estate with close friends, for new years. Top of the world and personalised hospitality and one of the most perfectly architected properties.
With a view of the grand Himalayan range from our rooms was absolutely breathtaking, i am a big fan of the food at the orchard. The pahari thali, mexican brunch, Mediterranean dinner with each meal planned in sumptuous courses was just amazing. Their focus on the minutest details just win you over. The badams on your bedside every morning, the haldi shot and fresh juice for the ones who've had a rough night, board games and musical instruments, barsets and glassware, the party speaker at the library bar or the gifts for the girls every morning. They've really thought this through. I was most impressed with the staff and how well trained they are on all aspects of world class hospitality. Whether you are looking for some down time, a relaxed vacation with family or friends or just some adventure. Drive up to Peora!

The first amazing thing about this place is it’s location and the mesmerising views you get from the rooms. We stayed at the Royal Suite ( shows up as Presidential Suite on booking.com). This suite provides the most magnificent 180 degree view from its massive balcony, right from sunrise to sunset, and then the romantic moon light ( we went during a full moon night and it was breathtaking). And it’s all absolutely silent around you, barring the chirping of birds ! No better place to detox from the madness and sounds of the cities.
The second amazing thing is the food ! This is a boutique property with just 8 rooms. We had taken a plan which included breakfast and dinner ( lunch is available as well). Even before we checked in and throughout our stay, Chef Rajender would personally come and take our order from an unbelievably diverse menu ranging from local Kumaoni to North Indian to Italian to Mediterranean! And the food is supremely delicious and so so fresh and organic.
The third and most important amazing thing is the staff here. Chandan , who literally runs the place, is a one-man army who does almost everything, from responding to all your requests to laying the tables and serving you, and is there from early morning to late in the night. He is truly an asset . The housekeeping guys were also amazing. I’ve already shared how good the Chef and his team were.
Now that I’ve shared the amazing things, I’d like to mention a few things that others need to keep in mind before booking this property-
1. There is no air conditioning. ( We didn’t feel the need now and were loving the fresh air, but when it’s a lot hotter in May and June, one may miss the AC)
2. There is no TV
3. There’s no central WiFi. They gave us 3 different Jio WiFi dongles but none of them worked consistently. So, if you need to stay connected to your work, it’ll be a challenge
4. Hot water in the taps and showers - we got it most of the time. But, one day , we didn’t . But the staff helped us by getting buckets of hot water.
5. The main door to our suite didn’t have a locking mechanism from the outside !! So, whenever we were stepping outside, we were a tad worried. Also, no lockers in the rooms to keep your valuables.

I visited Orchard at Peora with my wife and her parents. We were looking for a secluded property close to the mountains and got this recommendation from a family friend. This place was not just what we were looking for but much much more
Abhimanyu was very helpful. Though he was not at the property during the time we visited, he was very responsive to all of our queries, he guided us with the best route to take from Delhi and gave good recommendations for places to go around during the stay
And the food here deserves a special call out! Amazing dishes, each meal of a different cuisine and at a location of your choice - the Mediterranean meal was my personal favourite.
The staff was tooooo good! Very responsive, polite, adjusting and very well trained to create a classy dining/bar ambience including personalized bonfires at night.
We felt so pampered with the all food and service
Activities- A walk/trek into the Peora village is a must, cute village with friendly locals. There is another small trek to a temple just 15 min from the property which is along the stream which I would highly recommend.
I've already recommended this place to many of my friends and relatives and would love to visit again!

Lovely location , away from the crowds , this extremely beautifully designed property is an ultimate destination if you want to sit back and relax amidst the silence and sounds of nature .
No words for the staff . Amazing hospitality .. I think the word “no “ is not their in there dictionary . You ask for anything on the planet , and it would be happily provided . The food is awesome .. an extremely versatile chef who is equally good at making any meal - be it North Indian , kumaoni , Mediterranean , Italian , Chinese and so on .. from the pizza bases , pasta to icecream s and the toast that you have for breakfast , is handmade .
The property is nothing less than luxury amidst the mountains .. heated floors , absolutely clean linen, hand made soaps ... it’s an experience you would want to have again for sure ! The furniture , lamps , lights , cutlery , everything is very tastefully picked by the owners .. you can feel their passion behind it !
Not just this , they ll take you for a picnic and lay out a lavish meal amidst the wilderness ..
Thank u The orchard ! We loved every bit of our stay ! Super highly recommended

Aces in everything - property, rooms, attention to detail, food and hospitality.
We were visiting Corbett national park and then thinking of going to Nainital or Mukteshwar but I am so glad I found
this hidden gem of pure relaxation and pampering in the middle of the 2 places. This was the highlight of the trip and simply the best.
At the Orchard Peora, they pamper you to another level and the whole vibe of the place is so amazing. Love the architecture, it is how a dream house looks like with the whole Tuscan vibe to it.
We had booked the enchanted room, but as it was a pre birthday trip for my husband, so I wanted to arrange a surprise dinner in the balcony of the suite if it was free. It was so sweet of Abhimanyu (The owner, who is very sweet and helpful) , they upgraded us to the suite instead and we had the best time in our entire trip. At night, they arranged a beautiful romantic dinner on the personal terrace balcony of our suite, decorated with beautiful candles and lanterns. The food is fantastic, all prepared with the fresh produce grown in their own orchard, quality is outstanding, from a Mexican brunch to an Italian dinner followed by a rich breakfast the next day.
The stay at the orchard Peora is like a spa-cation for all your senses, mind, body and soul. This place deserves all the As in every aspect of a holiday and hospitality. It is so personal and take care of every little detail, including soaking almonds on your bedside for a healthy start to the morning :), really appreciate all these things. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable time of our lives, will definitely return. Cheers to Abhimanyu, a great venture and wish you all the best in future. It is not just a boutique hotel, it is an experience, which I strongly recommend.

I visited this beautiful Kumaon resort with my family in June. It’s a grand Tuscan style resort with high ceilings & beautiful stained glass windows giving the feeling of actually staying in a small private palace! The property has beautiful grand views of the hills which is especially mesmerising in the clear starry nights which we could appreciate even more through the resort’s telescope. My 8 year old son was thrilled to have a clear view of the Venus and a few constellations! The cleanliness levels are very good, the staff most friendly & taking great care of getting personalised meals ready for everyone. The menu had a very good variety with everything from pizzas to ice cream to cinnamon rolls n cakes being prepared by the resort chef one didn’t feel as if one was having heavy outside food. We were lucky to find the owners also there during our visit who took great personal care and guided us about the things we could see around. Overall we had a most wonderful & comfortable stay, would definitely visit again!
