We first stayed here in 2019 and loved it so much we rebooked. Absolutely can’t fault anything - the villa, the service, the facilities, the service, the food/drinks, the service… Hands down the best service we’ve received anywhere. Nothing is too much trouble. We are already planning our 3rd trip!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time away and would go it Shaun Food was spectacular There were three restaurants we could choose from - buffet, Italian and Thai All three were excellent The great thing was seeing how happy the staff are and I felt like they were well treated which in turn made them a wonderful asset to the hotel. Venky always went beyond The turquoise water was alluring and the ambience of the island is what is pictured The only frustrating thing was the sea plane to get here - it is expensive and the wait at Male airport was longer than what I expected especially after you’ve already had a long trip to arrive There are many board options which did make it confusing - full board does not mean all-inclusive etc which meant we didn’t have access to the club and we weren’t given an upsale at check-in - before booking ask about that as it does seem worth it Muslims - the qibla in the drawer was facing the wrong direction so I prayed incorrectly a few times, it looks like it was initially stuck on and it must have moved Pork products are on the menu but it is clearly labelled Most importantly- we would come back 4 night wasn’t enough - i think 5 or 6 would have hit the sweet spot without boredom kicking in

True paradise on earth. If you are looking for a perfect resort for a perfect honeymoon, this is for you. We had the sunset with private pool room, it was perfect! The resort stuff made us feel special at every moment with true care! The island is absolutely beautiful, the views, beaches, the sea, it was perfect. A true heaven in the middle of the ocean. Everyday activities and excursions, will fit everyone! To conclude, we could not ask for a better resort for our honeymoon, and wish we could return in the future.

We visited Centara Grand Maldives early this month (September 22) for 12 nights and we are still in shock at how amazing this place is. After a very long journey we finally arrived via seaplane to be transferred to the resorts boat, and taken to the island. Upon arrival we were greated by Belle who instantly started our fantastic holiday and became our go to for all queries during our stay. The warm welcome and introduction as we walked to the reception to check in set the bar for which everyone on the island worked hard to maintain. We knew there was a risk of unpredictable weather whilst coming in September but the first few days didn't stop raining. Being stuck on a tropical island in torrential rain would usually be our nightmare, and having visited another island in September previously we knew how little there could be to do. The entertainment maestro Huhthu kept everyone engaged and his atmosphere brought the evenings to life. The bar staff in the coral bar kept the drinks flowing with a great atmosphere, and whilst we didn't get everyone's name to say thank you they were all amazing. Lax would have our drinks ready before we even sat down and did fantastic job remembering everybody's favourite drink. Piyush the bars mixologist would be making drinks with the bottles flying through the air keeping everyone mesmerised by the show, and forgetting about the rain. When we did finally make it back to the room we would find it perfectly clean and spotless. We felt sorry for the housekeeping, with it being an island, no matter how hard we tried we would end up walking sand back into the room. After a few days we met our room's house keeper Jomshed. What started as a quick hello turned into him showing us all the hidden snorkeling spots and where to find the resident octopus, and he would stop everyday to chat with us. We regularly saw turtles from our balcony and dolphins in the distance a few times. The room was a deluxe water villa number 90 and being at the end if the boardwalk it felt quite private and secluded. Whilst the weather was bad the room possibly amplified this being out in the open. But once the weather cleared we thought it was possibly the best room for our needs. The steps down into the water allowed us to swim straight out from the villa. As soon as we stepped into the water there was marine life all around. The drop off edge was close to the steps and the quality and quantity of fish was fantastic, and kept us fascinated for the duration. Our original worry for the maldives is the lack of food variety. This is another point which surprised us. Whilst the buffet was on the variety was varied, but the quality was better than any buffet we've been to before, for all inclusive. Part way through the holiday due to low occupancy, the buffet became mainly alacarte. I was initially concerned as I can be a very picky eater, but Venky assured me we could order anything and the chefs would make this for us. We requested some obscure meals and everytime they exceed expectations. Shen and Shazeen would regularly be our waiters and they would always be on hand for drinks or even a chat, during meal times and into the evenings. The games room had pool, snooker, air hockey, ping pong and what looked like a playstation. Being air conditioned it was a nice break if the heat got a little too much for us. The gym was well equipment and often empty. There were treadmills, concept 2 rower, plyometric box, kettlebells, dumbells and barbell plus other bits and pieces. The view over the water made the workouts enjoyable and this was also air conditioned. We visited the water sports centre only once to borrow the SUPs and had a great time falling in, over and over realising we had no idea what we were doing but enjoying it anyway. After the first few days the weather changed and become what would be expected from the maldives and this allowed us to relax by the pool which was nice and quite or go for a swim in the sea. The pool being infinity was often used for photoshoots by the guests. Again the bar staff would keep up hydrated with alcohol and even entertained us every evening with shark and stingray feeding. The only excursion we did was to go snorkeling with Manta rays. Although we did find them thanks to Hussain they only negative from this holiday was the snorkeling excursion was combined with a drive excursion (possibly due to low uptake). Whilst we were on the boat we could hear the conversation between Ivan (dive instructor) and Hussain, in which Ivan clearly wasn't interested in going to the Snorkelling area. For a while it felt like we had been mis sold the excursion as we headed to a dive point. Where we had heard Ivan say the chance of seeing them snorkeling was low. If this hadn't been discussed in front of us and the other snorkellers we would never have know we were going to the wrong place. Hussain came through though and got us to the cleaning station to see them. Whilst the holiday went on we would watch Venky and Senthil appear and disappear everywhere as they would orchestrate the entire holiday for every person. We spoke to other holiday makers who all agreed it felt like they were receiving their undivided attention and everything was just for them. Towards the end of our holiday it felt like it had been so good that we would never find a better opportunity or place to get married. We approached Venky with the request to sort a wedding for the following day. We had no dress, no rings or anything at all! But having witnessed how much Venky could do over the two weeks we had no doubt. Venky and Senthil were on the phone to all sorts of people and arranged our wedding with less than 24 hours notice... and even got my now wife multiple wedding dresses that evening to try on. Thank you to Ali (singer) for borrowing us her own dress!! Aysha made us some custom rings which in itself was amazing but the following day she came and showed us a video she had made of our wedding for us! This video is one of our favourite memories of the holiday and was a complete suprise with some fantastic editing. We were lucky enough to have Belle, Hussain and Huhthu involved in our wedding which put the perfect touches to the end of our holiday. And the Polaroid from Belle has become our main holiday memento. All the people we encountered on this holiday gave 110% and it didn't feel like it was because it was a job that they were good at but more that they actually enjoyed what they were doing and they loved the guests and other islanders. In positive reflection we can't wait to return. However this resort has set such an unrealistic expectation that we know nowhere else will ever be able to achieve.

We had a bash at centara ! 😍 the staff over there is really very helping and always smiling . Special thanks to mr. Venky he had been such a wonderful manager cum host for us . He helped us in all possible ways from taking care of our daughter to food , arranging karaoke, special meals everything . Also special thanks to mr. Satish , piyush , chef Arnab , host mr. Hutthu , all the staff at reception , and the sweet lady at Thai restaurant., yall had been so so nice to us . That we feel like visiting you again soon . The sunset premium villa was just mind blowing . From hospitality , view ,cleanliness, food quality everything was superb ! 3 things that really touched my heart are : 1.
