The Baagh Resort is a rural, forest retreat in the heart of central India where tigers roam in the jungle and fields of yellow mustard sway in the sunlight. The Baagh is nestled in the heart of the rolling Maikal hills, a picturesque belt of villages that are set around the great Kanha National Park which is one of the largest sal forests to be inhabited by such a diversity of large and small animal and bird life. Each of the 24 rooms, 16 Deluxe Suites and 8 Junior Suites are well-appointed with open terraces facing towards the garden and the lake. Marble clad bathrooms and sumptuous beds are welcome comforts that soothe the guest after a day of exploring nature. Each pathway around in the Baagh holds new delights whether in the form of a pavilion, a contemplative seat under a large, shady tree or an intimate space for outdoor dining or barbecues. Conveniently located towards Mukki Gate, which is the quieter side of the Park.

To be very honest, when we first reached the entrance gate, we were very skeptical whether we have reached the correct place.. Almost felt duped! Nevertheless, once we completed the check in formalities and took to our rooms, our fears were immediately put to rest. The rooms are large, with very large beds, and large attached bathrooms. While they cannot be called luxurious, they were clearly premium, with a warm old-world charm. The linen was fresh. The air-conditioning in the rooms was effective, even though the temperature outside crossed 38 degrees C! Given that this is situated in what is otherwise a jungle, the ambience overall is very naturalistic. A haven for nature-lovers. The small sit out area outside the room is a great place to soak the jungle ambience in mornings and evenings. The food was excellent on all counts – taste, quality and variety. Kudos to the chief chef – Rajkumarji – who was more than willing to accede to every request we made, without even an iota of hesitation! And he did a splendid job of it every time. The entire staff at the restaurant and the housekeeping was very obliging with all our requests. The swimming pool is quite large for the property. And for its location, quite clean. The kids enjoyed the pool on each of the 3 evenings that we stayed here. A huge thank you is also due to Ashwini – the resort manager – for accepting my children’s request for using the bath tub in one of the junior suite (which, to their luck, was vacant at the time), for an hour. We were also impressed by his knowledge of the jungle, nature, wild life, etc and his willingness to share it with us The vibes of this place were very positive. Found it very conducive to a peaceful and quiet vacation. Overall, apart from a very good stay here, will rate this place a high value for the money we spent.

The Bagh was the fifth resort throughout my journey in wildlife places and It was beautiful, quality furnishings and linen an amazing shower with plentiful water.From the moment arrived we were treated like valued guests and this continues throughout our 3 night stay , We were truly made to feel at home at The Bagh . And now to the Safaris , we had a total of 4 safaris and each one memorable in its own way , Kanha is incredible, particularly when you have such a knowledgeable , kind and caring Naturalist as Ashwani ji , we enjoyed our numerous conversations, and had many laughs along the way . We have done many safaris , and stayed at many lodges over the past 15 years , but none compare to The Bagh , I was so sad to leave , as I had found my happy place , We will be back soon and recommend this place to my family friends.

The Best Kanha national park stay we have ever did.
I have been to the park 9-10 times in different resorts but this is one is the best one Food is ultimate with all indian taste spicy .
This is resort for every aged person.
Special thanks To Ashwini (Property manager) And his ground staff working all polite and very helping.
They have YES for every service you need.
They had specialy arranged candle light dinner with softdrinks and special starters.

We stayed with family Dec 2022. Welcomed by Mr. Shivam and and staff was very warm that after long journey we felt like home. Enjoyed beautiful lighting at night and even more beautiful morning in nature's lap. Cottages are wll organized and having unique name of birds of Kanha Jungle. Food was very satisfying and delicious. Mr Shivam Dwivedi ( FOM) were very attentive and has extended very personal care in every possible way. Staff was very polite and helpful. Resort is conveniently near to Muuki gate. also very courteous and heplful. Very much recommended for all.

On our wedding anniversary we decided to visit Kanha National Park. Our friends suggested us the Bagh resort as they had a good experience during their stay there. When we reached the hotel, I was happy to see that the front of the hotel was like the houses of the village and not some ugly brick and mortar structure with may disrupt the serenity of of that nice tribal village nestled in the buffer zone of the National park. They have a spacious parking. Upon entering the hotel we were greeted by courteous staff. The property is huge and there are more than 25 cottages there which are neat, well maintained and cosy. The whole area is packed with different variety of trees which give the resort a feel of the National park itself. Every building of the resort merges with the surrounding well. The place is a nature lovers Paradise. And the cherry on the cake is extremely caring staff. In our case, they constantly nudged us in the morning so that we do not miss our early morning Safari and without giving them any instructions they packed us nice breakfast also.They ensued that we had all our meals on time. The dining area is also beautiful. They also have a nice swimming pool. When we reached at the pool in the morning the person cleaning that area promptly brought us a ball and a frisbee. I like his this gesture. They also have several sitting areas and gazebos where we enjoyed snacks with bonfire. There is a badminton court and volleyball court also. My overall stay experience at the bag was excellent and it made my visit to Kanha a memorable experience.

From the moment you enter the property through the old mud house you feel you are in a different world with the extremely thoughtful hospitality of The Bagh team. The deluxe rooms have every bit of luxury to provide a comfortable stay. we stayed there to celebrate New year and the team went out of their way to make our celebration special with outstanding romantic dinner arrangements and live music in slow volume due to the wildlife area.
Food and service was up to the mark as expected and the behaviour of the staff is too good.Hats off to their housekeeping ladies staff who are so kind and humble and feel proud to be a part of The Bagh team.They are well trained by the resort management.

I visited The Bagh Resort Kahna with my Family and we stayed at The Resort. Our stay was excellent as were Mr Ashwani and his staff/colleagues. They took care of all our requests and made sure our stay was a comfortable and pleasant one. I highly recommend The Resort. It's a lovely getaway from the city . i would definitely like to stay again as soon as i am able to travel and am looking forward to it. See point-by-point comments below.
Communication before arrival:
Ashwaniji and others were very good in responding to questions and inquiries regarding reservation and amenities, before our arrival.
Rooms/Cottage:
This is the Best part of this Resort, We have taken 3 cottages and i must say the Ultra king size Beds and the non congestional area with big size clean and hygenic Bathrooms these are the features which we are looking for and lived it.
Housekeeping/Room Services:
The housekeeping/room services were always available for most any request we had, Also all the needs related to children's food are take care very nicely and promptly.
Friendly staff:
All staff members we encountered we're very friendly, accommodating, personable, from the front entrance guards to the General Manager.
Excellent food:
We cannot say enough about the restaurant food. Every meal was satisfying with a great variety of dishes and even the chefs interacted with us and went out of the way to accomodate any special requests.
Well-groomed campus:
Property is very well Forest theme based and the facilities/pool kept clean and presentable over our entire stay.

I stayed at The Bagh Kanha with my better half for 2 days during new year and I highly recommend the place for anyone visiting Hanha National Park. The hotel offers beautiful views of the Lack and the rooms are spacious and done very tastefully (with large, clean and luxury Bathroom). During our trip the hotel staff arranged for a Naturist to take us to a Jeep Safari to Mukki zone and talk about various wild animals in the jungle. The hotel is well situated - in close proximity to Kanha National Park. The staff was friendly and catered to our requests. Highly recommended! I hope to make another visit soon. really nice to be in the forest, the cottage is cozy and there is plenty of space. All the staff are very kind and friendly, and the food in the restaurant is very tasty. All the staff helped us, even explained how to eat and what to choose. If you like safari and like to relax in the swimming pool in the evening then this is a very amazing experience. Very nice place for family, I would like to especially thank Mr. Shivam for his hospitality and care. Will definitely come again.
