The best place to stay in Dhariyawad is Fort Dhariyawad, which is a heritage property and is over 400 years old. This fort was build by the second son of Maharana Pratap and currently his 25th generations take care of the property and honestly they are the best host you can ask for. The fort is a perfect blend of heritage and luxury. I stayed there for 2 nights and they organised several excursions for us. 1. They arranged for a beautiful Sundowner in Kush Mangri Dunes. The entire setup was so dreamy. 2. They took us for a night safari to Sitamata Wildlife Sanctuary which is famous for leopards and flying squirrels. Nothing compares to the thrill of going to a jungle at night. 3. Day 2, we went on a jeep safari to Kunteriya for jungle lunch. We enjoyed traditional Rajasthani lunch right next to a river. 4. On Day 3 for breakfast we went to Jakham Dam, which was absolutely gorgeous. Best part about the stay was the experiences that they organised and also the food, the food was delicious, loved the variety. The rooms were super comfortable, wifi was also good. The staff is super friendly, they were always on their toes to serve us, nothing compares to their amazing hospitality. Overall had a wonderful stay here. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to experience an offbeat Rajasthan.…

We visited Fort Dhariyawad, this was better above our expectations. The place is very good heritage property with very very humble and co operative staff. Food was at the best. This special service for high tea at high top of hill, lunch in river side of forest and another high tea at to of Dam vere very unique. The owner keeps and looks after all our facility. Very good value for money visit.

Disappointing Dhariyawad. Avoid staying in room 105!” To begin with Fort Dhariyawad is not a Fort at all, so its name is misleading. We arrived after a long and tiresome journey. We had buffet dinner in the garden but unfortunately it was far too spicy for us. The man who served us dinner was a nice person. In the middle of the night we woke up with the feeling we were suffocating because of lack of oxygen in the room. On arrival we had not noticed the lack of ventilation in the room. We were forced to keep the door of our room open during the rest of the night, with just a curtain to protect us from the outside world. We didn't feel very safe, as we heard people (quietly) walking past. After a sleepless night on a not too comfortable mattress and an uncomfortable pillow we were looking forward to having breakfast. That proved to be another huge disappointment. We arrived after 8 o'clock and we had to wait quite some time for a staff member to show up and to start preparing breakfast. The indifferent staff apparently understood no English. We asked for coffee without sugar (which we could clearly say in Hindi) and after almost waiting for half an hour !!) they brought very sweet coffee with a lot of sugar! We ordered cheese omelet and instead they brought us some unedible very spicy chilli pepper omelet! We gave up on breakfast and went to reception to check out immediately. We will never return to this horrid place.…
