A fantastic setting below the cliffs and the Fort de Buoux. We were there early October with half-board and it was great. Simple but good and copious breakfast and evening meals with great service. Our bathroom was in need of modernisation, but everything worked.

Imagine an expanded mountain lodge style hotel in France, next to the cliffs..blend it with a bit of 'la Piscine' atmosphere and lots, lots of french speaking guests. You have to drive a bit off road through an amazing bit of woodlands. Rooms are robust and spartan but the secluded feeling makes everything acceptable. We had two evenings a nice... More

We stayed here for one night as part of a walking holiday, and just loved the location with the towering cliffs, river, and a view of Fort Buoux sitting high on the cliffs above. This came at the end of a week's walking in the Luberon, and we loved it all. This auberge offered us a different, contrasting experience from... More

We stayed here for 3 nights recently. What a lovely, secluded location but with great hikes in the surrounding region. The accommodation was basic but very clean and perfectly suitable. The restaurant for the evening meal had a great atmosphere. The staff are all good fun and very helpful. We didn't have Wifi in our room but you could get... More

Recently stayed three nights at this auberge which is located at the base of an amazing rock face. Our bedroom was comfortable. It had a rustic charm, located in a stone built outbuilding. We had a tiny seating area which was very pleasant. Breakfast is taken in La Buvette, overlooking the pool and we enjoyed the cereals, bread and choice... More

We stayed at this auberge as part of a walking tour. It is located in a very beautiful valley and is very picturesque on the outside. Unfortunately the rooms have not been well maintained. We were told that it is family run and that it opening in the mid-twentieth century. I don't think any of the fixtures of furnishings have... More

If you are a very outdoorsy person, looking for peace and quiet and beautiful scenery and do not mind an extreme level of (to be charitable) rusticity, this is an excellent choice. However, it is very difficult to access, the road is tiny and requires skillful driving. The room we were assigned was shabby and unpleasant, though as others have... More

After a long days walk we arrived at the Auberge. It certainly is in a stunning location. The room we were presented with was dark dismal and poorly maintained. Lots of mold in the shower. The window was so small and the natural light so poor you needed to leave the light on. The door had a gap at the... More

Really interesting place to stay. We arrived on foot very hot, tired and hungry to find fabulous cafe on site that is open all day. The plate of cheese and bread was nothing like a British ploughmans - amazing selection of cheese beautifully presented. The rooms are like little cottages in a village, not plush but clean and comfy and... More
