Rooms Kazbegi has been lauded for its stunning vistas and an atmosphere that exudes coziness, with guests particularly enjoying the warm pool ambiance and stylish design. However, the hotel's value has been called into question, with some travelers finding the amenities and dining experiences overpriced.
While the location earns praise for its tranquility and accessibility, the service receives mixed reviews, with instances of slow and inattentive staff. Additionally, the rooms themselves have been criticized for their lack of amenities and issues with maintenance and soundproofing.

Detailed Reviews
This hotel is contemporary, stylish and comfortable but the real star here is the stunning views of Mt. Kazbegi outside the windows of the lounge, the restaurant and the wonderful pool.
I had a room facing the mountain with its own balcony. The bed was very comfortable; the furnishings were a little rustic (as was the wood floor) in a way that reminded me of ski lodges in the western US. The bathroom was clean and fairly spacious and the shower was excellent. The pool was a lot of fun, not just for the view but also for relaxing in the warmth of the water with winter just outside the windows.
Breakfast was very good, with made to order eggs and a good selection of breads, meats and cheese (including local cheese).
I liked the Georgian dishes that were offered for dinner as well as some excellent desserts.
Unfortunately, they were not able to offer any tours when I was there because their tour director was not working at the time.
The staff was extremely helpful (including helping me navigate transportation options when the highway was closed for a potential avalanche).
I would definitely stay here again if I find myself returning to Georgia.

Though there was too little snow at Gaudari for part of our stay, the quality and value of the Hotel Rooms Kazbegi was a definite compensating factor. My family, which included 2 young children, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and so did the other friends we were staying there with. I have already recommended the hotel, and Georgia in general, to colleagues.

Room Kazbegi Hotel is a place that I'd say everyone must visit once to experience the beauty of the area and good service at the same time. The hotel is expensive, however there are deals sometimes, so a short getaway is possible and worth it. My family visited Stepantsminda in summer, it was just overwhelmingly beautiful. Breakfast is lavish and of high quality (although we could barely find a seat!) - lots of choice. Rooms are well-designed with natural materials, a lot of wooden details. Disadvantage: balconies are interconnected and you're sitting shoulder to shoulder with your neighbors, you see and hear everything. At night, we had a problem with people sitting practically on our balcony, smoking, drinking and laughing loudly. The views are amazing on both sides (forest and mountain, as the hotel classifies them). The main terrace with comfy sofas and armchairs is a treat. People spend the whole day relaxing there. Massage (with Lika) was great. Pool is clean and warm, with a nice separate terrace.

Dear @ InnaRed, We feel so honored to have hosted you with us in Stepantsminda/Kazbegi. Many thanks for your balanced feedback! All the highlights, the 5 stars assigned to our property and the valuable time that you spent on writing this review and the legal donation you have made to the meaningful socio-economic improvements we are achieving in Georgia/Sakartvelo are much appreciated! Kindly be informed that, unfortunately, Lika has left our team .Usually, being recognized is a huge motivation for our staff to further improve their performance. we go the extra mile to make sure every guest has the best experience. We look forward to your visit in the future. Kindly be informed that our Juliet style balconies were meant to give maximum eyesight to the surrounding natural landscapes. I am sorry you could not enjoy it. Kindly be informed that there are iron grid walls between all the room balconies, which were considered to be enough to give them a feeling of individual spaces. We will discuss your personal point of view regarding our balconies within our team to see if we can make changes. but as we are a member of the Design Hotels group, we can hardly make changes in the Design part. and the Juliet style balconies are a part of the authentic property at Rooms Hotel Kazbegi. We hope to be your choice hotel when returning to our area. Should your travels bring you back to our doors, feel free to email us at my office email for a personalized stay arrangement. A wonderful location looking towards Gergeti Church, but it was a lot of money that clearly goes towards paying all the staff who are there who aren’t really doing anything, expect making you feel watched all the time! Absolutely nothing was given complimentary, even a cup of coffee during the day, which I would expect for a hotel stay of this price per room. The food however was excellent. The rooms and hotel itself were also way too hot!

Stayed here as part of a tour. Other than the sleeping room and buffet meals this hotel is ok. For what seems to make it so special is it sits up on a hill opposite from Mt Kazbegi, so the panoramic view is quite special. But since it's a hotel, meaning after sightseeing or as some do mountainous hiking, don't expect to get a good nights sleep. Last night I was awakened at midnight by fireworks, awakened again at 1:30 as people talked their way down the hall, awakened again at 3:30 as another group walked/talked/sang down the hall, and again at 5:15 as another group partied in the hallway. The doors are so thin, it's like they do not exist. They also use antiquated keys with a huge piece of metal as a fob, so you hear occupants struggling to insert their keys and open the door. I made sure I was first for breakfast each morning (a buffet, like I was told dinner would be) as people put their hands in the food since it is self serve. I skipped dinner both nights and ate a granola bar. Not my kind of place.

Lets start with the obvious - the lounge and terrace is amazing. Well appointed and view is superb. A lovely feature. Well capitalized on by the hotel.
However, lets now consider that this is one the the most expensive hotels in the region and several times more than what you pay for a local guesthouse. So the price you pay should mean a first class service. Alas there are many issues. To name a few:
Aggressive security gate staff.
Condition of the car park (I don't expect a formula 1 surface but a few less wheel crunching potholes).
No assistance with baggage
Rooms are small and bathrooms tiny although nicely done.
Balconies are like cages (prison?) with no privacy from your neighbor
Our room service order was one dish short to which the staff member said 'it isn't my fault'. No apology.
Breakfast was amazingly bad - no clue how to manage in covid times. They tried, however, there were huge queues, no information, and no social distancing. We stayed for 2 nights and queued for a minimum of 30 minutes each time.
So some of this may seem a bit precious, but you pay a lot of money to stay here. The unforgivable issue (and I have read previous posts where 'management has promised to look into it') is the lack of staff training in basic hospitality. We did not feel welcome, looked after or valued as a guest. Message to owners - invest in your staff training and attitude please!
The big question is, would we go back? Yes to Kazbegi, No to Rooms Hotel.

Lovely experience. We hiked a lot and came back to the hotel to swim and have a relaxed dinner. The view of our room was amazing. They also have room service 24/7 so when you are too tired to do anything you can have dinner in your room. Breakfast had a lot of options. We were warned for paper thin walls but we probably had decent neighbors, we slept perfectly. Due to COVID restrictions there were only 10 people allowed in the pool, but that was okay. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. We hiked in the truss valley and in Juta. Would go here again.

We made a booking here for our much delayed honeymoon and were left terribly disappointed.
The lobby is well set up and gives the impression that this really is a 4 star retreat in the mountains but the rooms are shoddy at best. At about $200 a night you'd think there'd be a closet at least if not a safe? Some instant coffee in the rooms? We paid for the mountain view but the balconies offer zero privacy as you're literally overlooking the next room. I'm not so fussed that the rooms are small or that most of the staff speak little to no English, but you'd expect basic amenities to be provided at that price point. Instead there's one bathrobe provided for a room for two and a shower that barely works right and floods the entire bathroom. Really regretting our decision to spend the night and wish we'd opted for a local guesthouse instead! At least they'd be more hospitable.

I had a lovely 2 night stay here last week with a friend. The facilities, staff, service and spa were all excellent. We particularly enjoyed the spa pool and hot tub with beautiful snowy weather. Our stay was made extra special by Misho at the front desk who was very helpful in upgrading our room, organizing our excursions and fixing any and all small details for us! I would happily visit again because of the exceptional service that went above and beyond to create such a pleasant stay for us!

The profit margin of this hotel is made by lack of employees and as a consequence the organisation fails at each step. Each order at the restaurant was a nightmare. There is an obvious hierarchy for the servants. One can only take the order, one is responsible to bring the food and one to take the payment. We waited 50min just to get our main course and the appetizer at the same time (???) and additional 30min to get our wine bottle. Meanwhile we received twice a wine glass which we did not order, but obviously the lady that brought the glass had no charge of the order, so our complaint was not reaching the appropriate employee. In the end we complained to a third employee who tried to explain us that we should have made clear that our appetizer should come before our main course (come on...). Blaming customers is just a big no no. In the end they appologized and it would be ok if we didnt have to take our breakfast at the same chaotic restaurant. Whoever came to the idea to make these corona measures by putting only 3 employees to serve a buffet for more than 300 ppl, should try to do their job for one day! More than 30 were standing in line for breakfast next to each other. So how is that helping not to spread the virus?? Only one spot for the coffee creates a chaos where you can be happy to get a cup.
The few employees working at the restaurant are avarage age under 25. This is a cheap workforce taking the blame for the management failure to organise the hotel. No fancy panorama view can make up for this chaos each day. We are currently on our road trip in Georgia and also booked the Rooms Hotel in Tbilisi. However, this experience makes us considering to cancel it.

Dear @Nadyachri,
Gudauri, the Ski resort can be reached in 40 minutes by car, but if the road gets shut due to the heavy snowfall, it is possible, to get to Kobi by car and to move to the ski lift to reach Gudauri from Kobi.all these take around45 to 50 minutes max. Hope, you will find this info useful.

You can just email them to book highest floor room, but hotel there isn't big difference between 2nd and 5th floor view, cause hotel is buolt on the hill and view are amazing from any floor.
Prices here were definitely MUCH higher than those found outside of the hotel, but they weren't outrageous. Mains ranged from US$15-25, but be aware that portions were not very large or filling, unless you order the salads. Soft drinks were reasonably priced, no more than US$2-3, with beer and other alcoholic beverages being about US$8 and higher. We didn't get a spa treatment, so sorry that I can't help you there. Skip the minibar. There are a number of markets in the city that are super affordable for drinks and snacks, but keep in mind that there is no shuttle between the city and the hotel, meaning an uphill climb returning to the hotel!
