The hotel has awesome rooms, the staff is extraordinary, and they know how to provide the best service. The food and drinks were top notch and we were treated so well. Oldeani is one of several Wellworth properties at which we have stayed over several years and so we have a frame of reference to consider the features of Oldeani. What an exquisite lodge this is! It is rather similar to the Wellworth Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge. The main building at Oldeani is spectacular and spectacularly decorated in an array of traditional furnishings mixed with African art and artifacts. The main dining room and lounge areas are baronial in character, very formal but still not stiff and unwelcoming. The pool is formal, but the surrounding terrace is a wonderful place for afternoon and evening cocktails. From the pool area, one can see the outer wall of Ngorongoro Crater. The villas are spread out over a large garden area full of tropical flowers and trees. Each villa is elegantly decorated, continuing the theme of traditional furnishings accented with Africana. The service and cuisine are excellent, superior in all respects. If you do not wish to walk to and from your villa to the main building, the friendly staff gladly take you in a golf cart. This is a beautiful, sophisticated but welcoming lodge, something truly special on the safari circuit. The birds love this place too. You can see African lovebirds nesting in the rafters, while sunbirds and weavers are active in the gardens.…

Such a gorgeous place to stay! The rooms were amazing, the beds were so big and comfortable. It was very pretty and well decorated and clean. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We wish we could have stayed longer - would definitely recommend a few nights here to really enjoy the relaxing facilities after safari. The food was excellent and we enjoyed relaxing in the bar after dinner. The infinity pool was lovely with local music being played.

Fabulous place, luxurious accommodation, great food, excellent service, lovely welcome. We really enjoyed our stay here and having looked at the photos online before booking I can say that the photos really do not give a true impression of how fabulous this place is.

After a full day's tour of the amazing Ngorongoro crater, travelers may be ready for a comfortable retreat, and the Oldeani Mountain Lodge provides every possible comfort. The rooms are beautiful with great beds, indoor and outdoor showers, and even a.c. Dinner was five-star, both the service (thanks, Freddy) and the food, and breakfast was just as good. The pool looked inviting, but we didn't have time to try it. The best sleep I had during our 13-day safari was in this lodge. Worth a 2-day stay!

This place was top of line. From the moment we got out of the Land Cruiser we were taken care of. Anthony was the host and ensured no matter what was needed it was taken care of. I am not sure when he slept but it didn't matter what time or day we showed up to the main lodge he was there. I great person and a great host. The facility was top notch and immaculate. The food was 5 star for every meal. The rooms were extremely well decorated with attention to detail. I highly recommend this lodge an unforgettable experience.

Yet another outstanding lodge on our unforgetable safari. Located just outside the Crater, it's the perfect location for a 2 night stay. The main lodge is beautifully decorated and the pool is quite simply divine! Our room was so luxurious, just a shame that we couldn't spend more time in it. The food was excellent and our waiter, Freddy, could not have been more attentive! We also had a great picnic lunch when were went out for an all day game drive! Highly recommend this lodge.

The rooms were so beautiful and clean, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was fantastic and the entertainment and grounds were amazing. This property is stunning! The staff are excellent…very kind and friendly. Everything was arranged to the smallest detail. We were escorted to our room and given a brief tour of the room. I can’t express enough how beautiful this room was. Enormous bathroom with bathtub and 2 showers (indoor and outdoor). Large balcony, fireplace, 2 desks, comfortable lounge and chairs. Mosquito nets were large and provided plenty of coverage (although we never saw a mosquito in this region of Tanzania). We opened the door to head to our dinner and were surprised to see a gentleman with a flashlight who was waiting to escort us to the restaurant. The food was nice and our server Everly was very sweet. She paid attention to every detail and was there to wait on us for both dinner and breakfast. We wish we had stayed more than one night.
