Loved this place. The building was brand new and built in a Balinese style with beautiful wood. The deck was right above the beach where you could snorkel in a very nice reef. The pool and restaurant were great and the staff were very attentive and friendly. They arranged a tour of the island, a snorkelling tour and rented us a scooter.

Perfect view of Mt Agung got up for the sunrise expecting it to be right out front property faces north/south. Staff were absolutely amazing they arranged all tours at great prices. Snorkeling out front was very colourful. Walking distance to a number of restaurants. Spas 10 minute walk . Rooms tight but all you need. We opted for a private tour to the manta rays costing $65 Aus each which was the way to go.

Sunrise cottage is among many beachfront villas at north nusa penida. But my choice goes to this hotel because it looks more well maintained compare to others (judging from the pictures online). it is located between west and east of nusa penida, so it is a good choice if you want to visit both side and spend 1 night at nusa penida.
I got upper floor villa with beautiful sunrise beach views. my room is quite spacious, wooden flooring and wall, equipped with smart TV (youtube netflix etc), electric kettle, small fridge and hairdryer. Bedroom is clean, however, it lacks lighting and get really dark at evening. internet is unstable and unreliable (this is the issues due to lack internet infrastructure in the island, so its understandable)
The bathroom is spacious with marble bathtub, overall, it looks clean. However, during my 2 nights stay, there is lingering unpleasant odour in bathroom and it would never getaway, giving a sense of unclean.
i didn't opt in for breakfast, but i see that it is served at restaurant facing the beach as well.
the beach in front of the hotel is the highlight of the stay, it got some coral with beautiful small fishes that you can see. just be careful with the waves.

Great place to stay overlooking Mt Agung The rooms are clean and well designed. You can snorkel off the beach in front. Sit by the pool and relax while watching the boats. The staff are friendly and happy to help you.

We booked a tour through the Nusa Penida Team and they arranged for our accommodations at the Sunset Cottages. We were very pleased with our stay. The rooms are cozy and well appointed and the facilities are fantastic. A beautiful pool overlooking the ocean, tasty breakfast (all were great, the Rise and Shine was my personal favorite!) and friendly, very helpful staff. When we return, we will definitely stay here again!
