We also met a very nice beach dog at your homestay. We heard from one of your staff that she had been given the name "Lilou" ❤️. A black dog with a white dot on her neck and white paws. What a sweet and good dog! Above all, she was very smart. In 5 minutes I had taught her to sit and lie down...she is an incredibly smart dog! I hope you will take care of her because I saw that she was very important to all the customers. I left my heart with her and hope she stays healthy. Maybe I'll see her again next year or one of our friends.. I read on various official channels that more than 70,000 dogs (and probably many more) per year are brutally slaughtered for consumption in Bali. I myself have also experienced the serving of dog meat that was supposedly chicken. This is really disgusting. I hope that "Lilou" will not have to suffer the same fate and that she is really taken care of...

Läget var toppen om man ser till utsikten! Den var fantastisk med det turkosblå havet alldeles inpå huset och vulkanerna som bakgrund. Vad som var mindre bra, var att det var en väldigt knölig botten av dött korallrev och en massa pålar som stack upp när det var lågvatten, men som blev lite farliga i högvatten om man simmade och inte såg dom. Det var pålar som använts i samband med sjögräsodling. Vi såg att de höll på att dra upp dessa, medn de slängdes bara i vattnet eller på stranden, så att de sedan låg och flöt omkring. Tror nog att det är något de kommer att komma till rätta med.
Annars var läget bra även då det gäller närheten till hamnen där du kommer in med båten och en kort promenad tar dig upp till huvugatan där restaurangerna ligger.
Servicen var bra och husen är charmiga med den lilla terassen framför huset. Tycker man om hundar, så får man dem som husdjur på sin terass.
Något som är charmigt är alla vackra koraller och snäckor som stranden är full av!

There are only three good things about this place: the AC, the woman who manages breakfast/ AM staff, and the sounds of the waves. We booked this place knowing it had some bad reviews, but still went with it due to the location. Boy did we regret it! We arrived one hour after the start of check-in, and had to wait over 15 mins in the sun to find someone to point us to our room. The rooms were filthy, stained towels, room stunk of mold, and the bathrooms were in the state that you wanted to make sure to wear shoes when you showered. I messaged the manager requesting check-in information, and just received a piece of paper with the wifi password when I was asking info for breakfast and how to book tours. We cancelled our reservation for the rest of the trip; and found another hotel for less money, superb conditions, location and service. Best decision we made. Don’t be fooled by the good reviews, stay away!

The bungalow is well maintained, clean, the wifi worked well, breakfast served in a blink of an eye by the friendly and helpful staff! It’s seriously an amazing experience staying at this place. The front view of the accommodation is a clean ocean.. the fact that it’s just <3kms away from the seaport is just great. I would love to come back to this bungalow in the next visit.

A perfect hotel for a few days of relaxation, waking up to find yourself facing the beach. Great breakfast and very attentive staff.
We stayed for two nights and left with a heavy heart. We rescued a little puppy that was drowning in the sea. We bathed him with warm water and took care of him until he warmed up. We named him Kiwi.
Obviously, we couldn't take him with us, so we spoke to the receptionist and she said they would take care of him. It would mean a lot to us if you go there and share photos with us to see how he's doing. 🫶🏼

I booked accommodation for my holiday at Nusa Penidav Santen Beach Bungalows through Booking.com. What awaited us surpassed everything, the worst you can imagine. Bungalows Santen Beach is located approx. 500m from the wharf, directly a few meters from the sea. The bungalows are in the middle of a "slum" - everything broken down, dirty, dump everywhere, pigs, other various animals running freely all around. The sea is dirty, full of plastic and garbage. The bungalow itself was fine, but nobody really wants to enjoy a holiday in the middle of such horror. Unfortunately, the entire payment for 3 nights fell through because I didn't want to be in this accommodation even for a minute, I immediately dealt with an alternative solution.
