I think enough has already been mentioned by others about this serene and beautiful place. The service was excellent. The food quality and quantity was reasonably good as going for dinner and lunch is quite a task anyways as this place is like ~6km from the main highway NH-5 Shimla-Narkanda highway. So this was important. The rooms are spacious and designed keeping to give it a traditional feel yet equipped with all modern facilities. Location wise as I said, this is 6 km off from the main highway, passing through narrow road of the village , last 1.5 Km being totally off-road. One should be more than an average driver to maneuver through the narrow roads with twists and turns and must have a robust car. We picked this place because it was pet friendly and reasonably priced. We were not disappointed. It has picturesque chalets which are two bedroom (one on the ground) and another an attic room which may be even more sought after, with a shared bathroom (at least in our chalet). While reaching the place is literally off the beaten track for the last two kilometres and it is located about 56 km from shimla main, this was ideal for a getaway if you are looking for rest and relaxation and being away from congestion, as we were. It’s got great views, good food, very cooperative staff and the chalets were reasonably spacious and quaint. Our dogs were comfortable and the staff very cooperative with them. Overall a great experience. One small point - I would advise some sort of separation of the shower area from the rest of the bathroom by putting a shower cubicle or something like that so the whole bathroom does not become wet when anyone takes a shower, though the staff is very cooperative in cleaning/ drying the bathroom after every shower.

While researching on the property, we were slightly worried about the approach to the property. However, once you reach there, the peace, sights and hospitality is definitely worth the travel. Mr. Vikas and his team left no stone unturned in making us feel welcome. Further, the cottages deserve a special mention that are perfectly furnished and are very cozy for a family. They also have a cottage that offers in-house kitchenette, if you start missing home cooked food while away. Do consult the manager while planning your visit as you would need assistance once it start snowing. Our family had a wonderful time and we thank the entire staff for making this a memorable experience.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my family, and while the overall experience was just above average, there were some standout aspects. The location of the hotel is good, though nothing particularly breathtaking. It's quiet, serene & far from the crowded places. Although, reaching the hotel was a bit challenging due to the bad roads leading up to it.
The food, unfortunately, was the worst part of our stay, falling well below expectations in both taste and quality. Even simple Maggi was so salty that kids simply refused to take next bite, and hotel didn't even compensate that. However, the hotel's saving grace was its wonderful staff. I would like to specifically applaud and appreciate Bhupesh, Goldie, Vikas Sharma, Ratna from the front desk, and Dimple from room cleaning. Monu (moustache fellow) from serving staff needs some learning on how to make friends with guests. Their friendliness, professionalism, and cooperative behaviour made our stay much more pleasant.
In summary, while the food and road conditions were disappointing, the staff’s excellent service was truly commendable. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay.
Some other positives- - This place is near to Kufri which have few tourist spots like, Kufri Zoo, Horse Riding, & Fun-zone for kids - No noise, just nature. Hotel surroundings are peaceful & totally covered in Green forest. - One place nearby was suggested by local to visit which is just 5-7 mins far from hotel grounds & its a vast area with open spaces, trees, horses, dogs, sky & just you. Some artificial water body & one temple like single structure. It was the best place to visit nearby.
Some negatives- - After 6M lot of insects & flies came in the hotel room & since this is pure jungle, one can expect a variety of these bugs outside the rooms - Some local folks were stating the fear of leopards & what not but these are just stories of enjoyment - Bad roads from Main Fagu road to the hotel grounds. A 2-2.5KMs stretch which is too bad for certain cars. If you do not have SUVs or small cars like Alto, you will get bump hits to your car. Although Hotel staff can't do much here

Everything good about this place The food, service, rooms, view only 1 issue the location is in very off road and there are no signs on road which help you to easily reach this place. Nothing near by no shops no restaurants. You need to drive almost 4-6 km to find any store. If u love peace and driving on off roads this is a place for you.

This property is extremely scenic. Nestled amongst beautiful deodar trees, with wonderful views of apple orchards, hills covered with swirling clouds, twinkling lights of the villages at night.. it all just adds to the charm and beauty of this place.
It is a wonderful place to get your pets along. The best part is your pets are not restricted to the room, they are even allowed in the restaurant. Ample space for them to go for their walks. Staff is also friendly with pets.
The cottages are comfortable with a good view. The attics are an added attraction for children. Room service is good.
The staff is extremely courteous, pleasant and friendly. They go out of your way to make your stay comfortable. A special shout out to Monu, Goldie & Neha who made our stay memorable with their exceptional service.
In all this is a very tranquil place to unwind amidst nature and one must visit this place for its serene environment.

Wood Vista Cottages was by far the best accomodation I had while in India. The road getting down to the property on the mountainside is a bit bumpy. But the seclusion and pristine mountain views are well worth it. The cottages themselves are like something out of a fairy tale, or Swedish tourist ad. I was traveling with my Dad, and both he and I loved sitting out on our porch in the evenings.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They upgraded us to the "Pine Cottage" for no other reason than to be kind. The property also offers personal bonfires in front of your cabins at night, which is a rare, incomparable experience with their delicious food from the restaurant. A communal bonfire is also offered if you want to make friends, but my Dad and I enjoyed our sequestered nookish privacy.
My Dad was turning 71, and each of the staff came to wish him happy birthday one by one. They even made a kheer-type cake! In addition, they helped to arrange an excellent cab driver for us for our next trip to Dharmshala. Couldn't recommend this place more. Perfect for couples or families seeking a snug getaway from the hectic hustle-bustle and more touristy crowds you might find in Shimla.

Booking process through the site was a breeze. The cottages are beautifully done in Wood and Slate (stone). The staff headed by Mr Vikas does everything to make your holiday pleasurable. Each cottage offers magnificent views of the hills ahead. Lovely treks especially the one to the mountain top - Tungesh Temple. Food is good and reasonably priced. We spent 4 nights, could spend a lifetime!!

In short it's a heaven on earth.I visited this place just a week back.the drive was mesmerizing and adventurous.location is one of the best valley views with all surrounded star properties. If you a looking over for a self healing and relaxing trip apart from crowded and overrated resorts and hotels you should definitely try once in lifetime. The property is all surrounded by apple orchards and a heavenly feel and fresh tinkling air which calms your heart n soul.I defenetly wanted to write this post more because of the courteous staff Nd their services, they serve you with a smile on their face n plate.
