Just 60 km from Bangalore, Nandi Hills is the city's very own hill-station. Located at a height of 1455 metres above sea level, the serene environment and bracing air saw Tipu Sultan as well as the British use it as a summer retreat. Nandi Hills is perfect for a quiet break with leisurely strolls along the many pathways. It also offers hang-gliding facilities for adventure enthusiasts. Two ancient Shiva temples, one at the foot and the other at the peak, grace the hill. Karnataka Hotels Nandi Hills is perched on top of the hill and offers guests 3 double bed rooms. A restaurant with a bar attached is a part of the facility.

Basically when you don’t keep too much expectation you don’t get disappointed. I followed the same. I read all reviews and then booked this hotel as it suited my requirement as a solo traveller for 1 night. A simple getaway from Bangalore.

Pros -
1. I guess this is the only hotel at that height.
2. The view is breathtaking
3. Walking distance from the restaurant

Cons -
1. There were 2 basic things missing in the room - dustbin & soap ( the hand wash soap that was there was just simple water only)
2. I couldn’t figure out the water heater switch, tried two of them but didn’t work

Also I read some reviews where guests mentioned that restaurant doesn’t serve in room, but if you see the distance between the restaurant and the rooms you’ll understand why. It’s difficult to carry that much food.

Overall for one night it’s fine. Basic rooms but amazing view.

We stayed for 2D/1N in Gandhi Nilaya block of Mayura Pine Hotel. Hotel location is excellant right on top of hill and view from room balcony is amazing. Hotel restaurant is at 10 min walk from hotel location and serves food & beer. Room facilities are fine but can be improved by adding electric kettle for tea/coffee/hot water. Overall experience was good and would like to go back again.

It was a short trip and over night stay in Nandi Hills. And this KSTDC property as always, is on the best locations. We booked the suite room with 2 double-beds and room was very very specious with a big living area and a very big private balcony with great views. Staff was very generous and helpful. The only drawback is that the restaurant is some 500 meters away from the hotel, and one need to walk down as room service is very limited. Breakfast was included but with very limited options. Shouldn't be complaining about all these as the views and weather from this property is stunning. I would highly recommend staying in this KSTDC property.

Scenic view, we got rooms on the 1st floor (room #9 and 10) so needed to climb a lot of stairs.
Checkin needs to be done before 6pm. Reception is far away from the the stay (Gandhi Nilaya)
Make sure you carry valid photo id proof of _all_ the adults traveling else it can create issues during checkin.
The restaurant which is some distance from the stay often accepts only Cash / UPI but no card as their POS machine doesnt work.
The geyser in our room didnt supply hot water.
Carry drinking water with you else you can buy glass bisleri bottles from the restaurant at Rs 100 each.
Also suggest to carry munchies like biscuits , chips and fruits as the room service can only provide tea (no biscuits) and expect any service to take about 45 mins. Or you can carry a kettle + milk sachets + tea bags and you are fully self-sufficient.
Also nice to carry binoculars to get a great view from the balcony.
In room toiletries are provided but make sure you carry your own room slippers.
We were also told to keep the balcony and main door closed in the mornings due to a lot of monkeys which we did encounter the following day.
Network signal is flaky. Works if you are on Airtel.

We stayed for 1D/1N in Deluxe Room(Nehru Nilaya) and 1D/1N in New Block Room(Gandhi Nilaya) in last week of Dec-2021. The weather was awesome during our stay and enjoyed thoroughly. This is 2nd time we stayed in this hotel. Hotel location is excellent right on top of hill and view from room balcony is amazing. Hotel has two restaurants now operating alternatively(may be due to Covid guidelines) for BF/Lunch/Dinner during a day and is at 10 min walk from hotel location. Room(Gandhi Nilaya) has good facilities and has inhouse small kitchen to order tea/coffee/hot water. Only thing that can be improved is food variety and taste. The staff at check-in counter and at gandhi/nehru nilaya room are very supportive and polite. Overall experience was very pleasant, relaxing and would like to go back again.

Mayura Pine Top Nandi Hills is located at the top of the hill and has a huge location advantage. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Especially during the evening time, the stay becomes really peaceful. The only concern is that the restaurant is about 400m from the hotel and there is no food availability after 8pm. But overall, a very nice experience.

1. Beds were not comfortable.
2. One Bathroom does not have an exhaust fan.
3. Rat was found in one room.
4. Fan was not working properly in one room.
5. Seems the rooms were not sanitized before checking in.
6. Air Ventilation is very poor in rooms.
7. Room service was lazy.
8. Even there was no extra charging point to charge the mobile.
9. Common area’s light was coming in for the complete night which is very negative for a good sleep.
10. Water was not coming properly in the flash in one bathroom.
11. When we woke up in the morning to get ready for sunrise, found no water in the bathroom, and after following up multiple times the supervisor switched on the motor after 10-15 mins.
12. Breakfast area is also common for all guests and visitors and is very small, congested, and not maintained properly.
13. No one checking for covid vaccination, masks, etc, so basically ZERO covid protocol is maintained.
14. Even we booked for the hotel, they charged Rs. 185 for the entry of my personal car which is really not at all acceptable.

I would like to mention that the stay at Mayura Pinetop hotel at Nandi Hills was a very great experience, the Rooms were so clean and well maintained that it made us feel like VVIPs. We really enjoyed our stay and the staff including Mr.Ramesh at the reception and Mr.Santhosh at Gandhi Nilaya were very helpful and courteous.

We definitely look forward to exploring the various other hotels maintained by KSTDC.

A beautiful property, beautifully maintained. It was a perfect family destination. Those who are looking for a weekend getaway from Bangalore, Nandi Hills with an overnight accommodation at KSTDC Hotel Mayura Pine Top Nandi Hills is all that you need. Good food, good ambience, brilliant hospitality, and a huge property to give you all the privacy & space one could ask for. There is a kid’s play area for the little ones, so the adults can enjoy the scenic beauty while the kids are indulged into fun activities. The only word of caution for Sr. family members, you need to be prepared for a stiff walk to reach your rooms, as the car parking is a little far off.

Beautiful property. Decent service. The restaurant has limited options. Beaware of the monkeys. They are all around this property. The virws from the balcony is superb. Also you will have to pay 175 rupees per day for your car at the entrance if you decide to take your car out for sightseeing. I spent 3 nights here with family and we enjoyed the views and the weather. Early morning views are breathtaking.
