Lovely place set amongst the sand dunes - tents very comfortable and food and hospitality delicious. Good entertainment in the evening. Camel ride excellent with friendly camels and helpful 'drivers'.

I didn't stay there. We just stopped there for lunch. But it is a nice place to stay and popular among foreigners.

Hello All I am in the middle of booking a two night stay at at Manvar (1 night at tents and 1 at resort). I have a few questions if anyone can please answer: 1. My original plan was to have desert experience somewhere in Jaisalmer but since my incoming flight is to Jodhpur, I switched the plans to stay here on route to Jaisalmer. Since this site is far away from both Jodhpur and Jaisalmer, I assumed the deser experience will be better here. Can someone please confirm my assumption? Should I stay here or am I better off booking a camp around Sams dunes? 2. How different are Manvar deluxe tents as compared to their regular tents? Worth the price difference? 3. is it safe to book kids (9 yrs and 13 yrs) in a separate tent? 4. is the Jeep safari a simple ride through the dunes or is it "dune bashing"? 5. Is the camp site secluded enough? I will prefer dark sky and quite surroundings, which I believe is in short supply at Sams dunes which is one of the reasons I switched to this site. I would be really disappointed if I do not get dark and quite experience here. 6. And lastly, I saw a review complaining about loud DJ music being played nearby but the Manvar representative told me that they do not allow such events? did you come across any such thing during your stay? Thanks in advance, Girish T

1. Definitely! The Manvar experience was way better than our time in Jaisalmer where we stayed at the Marriott. It is quintessentially luxe in the dessert. 2. We stayed in a regular tent and it was superb! 3. Not to sure... More
