Travellers' Choice
Anyone visiting India would be cheating himself or herself if they didn't get a taste of Indian countryside. It's not that difficult. Jodhpur is surrounded by natural beauty on all sides and within a few minutes, one can be up in the village, where peace reigns: the only sounds may be those of the birds or an occasional buffalo. From the aspects of proximity to the city as well as the countryside, access and utter, unspoiled beauty, staying at Chhotaram Prajapat's Homestay in Salawas is a good choice. The little village is just 20 Kms. from city center. For those who enjoy cycling, bird-watching or merely relaxing in the peace and quiet, this area is simply perfect. It moves at the typical slow pace of such villages, and you may remark that a lot of people seem to spend a lot of time just sitting around chatting. Well, they do. Nobody here seems to die of stress! Jodhpur is a fascinating city with much to recommend it, but as with all Indian cities, it is not peaceful, so even if you choose to spend the day shopping or sightseeing, its certainly recommended to travel the short distance to Chhotaram's homestay for a perfect evening and a peaceful night. Cmhomestay has a friendly, intimate atmosphere that will calm and relax you. We can provide lunchtime Tipical Rajasthani food, delicious evening meals. Bicycles available. Laundry service. Massage. Camel-riding and countryside trekking arranged. In the room rates traditional welcome with tica, chai/coffee, breakfast is inclusive. We arrange village safari formally known as a BISHNOI VILLAGE SAFARI at competitive rates.Except all this, you can enjoy shopping, trekking, village safari, visit to historical places, bird watching etc. There are many transport facilities which can make your trip enjoyable and comfortable too. To sum up, Chhotaram Prajapat’s homestay will be memory to cherish which you will never be able to forget for the whole of your life.So what are you waiting, start packing your bags and just land at this heavenly paradise.

There are so many things that I liked that I don't know where to start! First of all, the family is amazingly welcoming and friendly, you can experience their lifestyle. You eat what family eats, hang with them, they let you participate in food making, or any other stuff that might interest you. The houses where we lived is made from clay and dunk, oldschool way of building in India, with the cherry on the top: the western bathroom with 24h hot water, which was such a relieve since in the normal hotels you usually get small boiler that is not enough for all the travelers. Here, I didn't have to compromise and could enjoy the best hot shower through all the trip (which is kind of ironic since I thought that there we won't have any hot water at all). The beds were very comfortable

This place was amazing. The food was all freshly home cooked Indian food, which was the best Indian food I have tried. The huts are very beautiful and very very clean. The family was so friendly, helpful and just made you feel at home. Me and my partner done the village tour which is one not to be missed. I would 100% recommend. I would diffiently return if I come back to India. Its a beautiful homestay and very peaceful No car horns. Would love to give more stars if I could.

What a wonderful place. You truly feel welcomed into Chhotaram's home. Mamata's cooking is exceptional. There's always plenty of it yet it's fresh enough to never feel heavy. The huts are wonderfully comfy (and for once the 6ft guy didn't have his feet hanging off the end of a bed in India!) Don't hesitate to book and find out more about life in rural Rajasthan.

There have been many excellent reviews of this incredible homestay, all inspiring and true. Take our advice and treat yourself to a most unique and rewarding experience. Observe how to make a carpet and pottery in the traditional way, enjoy incredible home cooked meals over an open fire, ride a camel to observe the morning sunrise in the desert. We’ll definitely return with more friends and family! Thank you so much Chhotaram and Mamata ♥️
