A PICTURE TELLS A 1000 WORDS ! The attached are few pictures of the area in which the resort is located ! The resort is in middle of a coffee-plantation and forest. It's excellent view. The area is such, you can have your own early-morning trekking in and around the area. I drove Wayanad from Bangalore in Dec-2018, with my wife and two children. Stayed in Stream Garden Mountain Resort, for 4 days. On arrival time, the resort staff were in constant touch and guiding the way over cell to their location/various-landmarks. I had planned to drive around in my car, but all that changed - changed for good ! A normal car (I have Swift) can't access the resort. They provided Jeep to reach the place and see in around Wayanad. All these time the car was safely parked in designated places that the resort has arranged for. Few notes: * When we visited, the resort was getting renovated; a tree-house was in plan. * Staff are very friendly and reachable anytime. * Food was good. Though local food, we had no problem with it. * The rooms are decent, given it's in middle of a plantation. Can be bit more clean. * It's worth an early morning trekking in the area. *** Rare birds and monkeys can be seen in the forest. *** Be aware of pythons and elephants though ! But, that's part of the adventure :) *** Carry a stick with you, for safety.…
PROS: (1) Resort is well inside the jungle some 3 km from main road, hence ideal for folks who wants to stay away from crowd for few days. (2) Stuffs are very friendly & very down to earth (3) Food is very fresh & healthy, you can order some special item if you want...by a day before...as not all items are available so easily here in jungle resort unlike a city life. (4) Enjoy fresh air & very clam nature nested in very very green surroundings. CONS: (1) Approach road to the resort is not well maintained, some ups/ down terrain & narrow passage might make you little upset on your way to resort, but once you reach here, rest assured hospitality of resort stuffs & God's own nature will hug you & you would love to stay here for few extra days.
We did a last minute booking and it was the best decision we made. The rooms are clean , super service , nice food and really nice people. Only one information was missing :- to reach the resort you need to go through the last 3km which are not really roads. The width is as much as that of a car and there might be wildlife activity ( mostly elephants - Komban). There are two possibilities 1. you can park your car below and take a Jeep which is provided by the resort itself and it is available only till 17:30 2. you can go with your car itself but please go before the sunset But apart from that worth a trip and will be back again. This was my family trip, staying with nature for couple of days, away from buzz of city and day to day life of monotonus work, to spend my leisure time it was a perfect place of sudden selection or choice, and it turned out extremely satifactory for us since both of us are very much travel enthusiasts, when we reached the place it was raining as neture rules at this time. Manager of this place got in touch with us from afternoon to guide us properly to the nearest parking place for the resort, thereafter the Jeep had taken us inside the coffee & spice estates about 3 km from the main road, this was completely inside from the vehicle noise of the road as well, although main road is as usual through various tea and coffee estates, after reaching the place it is absolutely calm and natural stream is passing by the resort, whole day n night you can sit near the water font and enjoy, it was also well organized with flower garden and some everyday eatable fruits, coconut trees, rooms are like huts n absolutely eco friendly with some balcony in the front, hot n cold water is available in the room, beds are ok. since it was rainy season , therefore walking through nature is bit of concern as roads are muddy, but you can really take a deep breath and relax yourself, you can see giant Squirrel, deer, or any other small animals around just in case if you are lukcy enough. Food is equally importatnt as you can not go out of this place in the evening due dense forest. They provide absolutely home made, less spicy or less masala keralian cuisine and you can digest it ery easily, all your breakfast and dinner can make your stay very comfortable without any health problem. Staffs are really co-operative and most important part that they can speak ENGLISH. Bon fire, music, 24 hrs electricity, good snacks as you order based on availability can give you good company whle yor stay at this resort. You can definitely go out during day time for sight seeing and self adventure at an additional cost by Jeep from resort side, Chembra peak, Banasura sagar dam, meenmutty waterfalls, edakkal cave and other spots are at decent vicinity. I think this informations will help you to take a look and start planning.....so why to wait ?? just pack your bag and hop in....Happy journey.…
I stayed in this resort for only one day along with my family. The Service was good and we enjoyed the food. You get hot water and cable connection too. A Stream runs very close to the resort and its sound can be heard from Rooms and Restaurant.. There is a natural waterfall and natural pond within the resort to spend some time. Since it was slightly raining, we couldn’t make use of the natural pool as the rocks were slippery. If one could Trek for 30mins just besides the stream, then you can reach another waterfalls. Be careful of the leaches when you trek, wear socks and shoes.. The road (2-3 Kms) from Main road to resort is not good but they arranged a Jeep to make our travel comfortable... The maintenance can be improved so that the area around rooms can be comfortable for walking, especially during off-season time. This is a small resort but very calm and remote… I would like to visit once again at-least for the waterfalls and natural pool.…
The resort itself is a spot where there is a private stream and falls with trekking experience Staffs are cooperating and friendly. However improvements required in terms of basic amenities like soaps shampoo toothpaste etc cuz if you do not carry you don't get it nearby as the resort is 2 kms away from main road. Still I will recommend to my friends and relatives
We had trip with my cousins. The trip was quite good, if you love the off rad drive then you will definitely enjoy the trip. The stream which is passing by the resort was not having adequate water at time of our visit however the tiny water fall was superb. It is certain that you will spot wild animals at the resort. The stay and food were satisfactory.
The resort is located on a hilltop with the approach road only meant for ATVs and foot, for the more adventurous. This obviously means you are cut-off from the town but that's what we came for, to experience solitude. Mind you if you are taking your hatchback/Sedan , be ready to park it at a site 1 km away from the resort. Of course, the manager Jamshi ensures the car is safe and under watch. The resort has an old look cottage with a fan and cable TV connection. Near by it has a natural pool from where it derives its name. It isn't the cleanest but one won't mind a cool shower there. The food, as expected isn't too flashy but very homely and traditional.
Had a good time in the care of stream garden resort. Home food with a dense forest experience. Had some trouble in the sign board but finally made it with some short deviation. Elephant tracks are very close by so kept us feel adventurous.
I visited this place along with my friend on a road trip on may end, which Included Bandipur safari and Masanakudi. The place is neat and you can hear the stream gushing noise all over the resort . The approach road gave us a great experience to our car driving skills .Anil and Jamshed took great care of us .The food was just awesome and it is the best Kerala home food that you will get in any resort. We took a dip in the natural pool and hike to the nearby Chembra peak .A minimum of two days would require to soak in nature .
