It gives us great pleasure to introduce to you ‘Vivaana Culture Hotel’, Mandawa, Rajasthan. Located in the beautiful ‘Open art gallery ‘of India, the Shekhawati region, Vivaana is a 150 years old haveli which has been lovingly restored and renovated into a Boutique Heritage Hotel. It features 33 luxuriously decorated rooms and suites where each room is distinct, stocked with period furniture, having original frescos and complemented by modern amenities which give a taste of the life of the erstwhile rich Marwari traders. Vivaana Culture Hotel is a captivating twin Haveli adorned with fascinating paintings. Both the exterior and interior boast of superb and rare artifacts and frescos. An art lover will definitely fall short of time, given the expanse of the artwork to be admired. Personalized service and warm Rajasthani hospitality make the guests feel at home. The lawns, terraces and courtyards make up for an excellent ambience. At Vivaana, you have several experiences to look forward to- cycle around the lazy village, go ride a camel on the famous sand dunes of Rajasthan, treat yourself at the Spa, sample fine teas from India, lounge by the pool, sip on a royal Martini at the bar, enjoy the evenings with the traditional art of storytelling by way of a puppet show or just curl up in a corner with a book! The famous Salasar and Rani Sati temple are an hour’s drive from the Hotel.

We visited the trifecta of Vivaana properties, and loved each experience. Starting with a kathak dance show at Kathika Culture Center in Old Delhi, we stayed in Vivaana Culture Hotel in Churi Ajitgarh, and then visited Vivaana Museum Hotel in Nawalgarh.
Mr. Khanna has done a commendable job of restoring old havelis and giving them life. Vivaana Culture offered an oasis of calm & quiet - it is the perfect escape from the craziness of the Golden Triangle. My recommendation would be to skip Jaipur entirely if you don't like crowded and hectic cities and head straight to Vivaana Culture (around 4 hr drive from Jaipur).
It is located in a small village where you can take walks and use the hotel bicycle's to go around and be in nature among the fields. Outside the hotel there is nothing else to do, the village is tiny but surprisingly dotted with numerous other abandoned and beautiful havelis.
Inside Vivaana you have all the facilities of a luxury hotel (great local food, pool, spa, reading areas). Thank you Vivaana crew for an enjoyable and unique stay!

This is a beautifully restored Haveli in the middle of a small sleepy village.
The rooms are all different and original with updated bathrooms. Beware of very slippery marble bathroom floors! The room was initially rather musty and felt cold but the heater helped.
The pool area was pretty but basic and the spa is very basic and the massage therapist was away so a substitute came in who had obviously never performed a massage and had very rough hands, so exfoliated at the same time!
The food was very good, it was only ever at room temperature but very tasty and a high quality. There is a bangle stall, puppet stall and show at night. The young boys make the bangles with their family, they are so beautiful and such great presents, and n addition to helping the local community.
The staff were all very good and attentive. There are lots of stairs and quirky features that might make it more challenging for someone of limited mobility.
This really is a beautiful place that transports you back in time. A privilege to be able to experience this wonderful place.

We stayed here just one night during our tour and it was a great experience. The hotel is located in a small town among simple houses and one does not expect the richness of this haveli, its portico and its frescoed walls and its courtyards, all well restored and well maintained. We were greeted by a shower of petals and then the reception procedures were carried out quickly. Our room, furnished in style but simply, was spacious and clean. Given the low temperatures during the night, there was an electric radiator in the room. The stairs to go down to the bathroom are a little awkward. Dinner and breakfast not very varied but good. Kind staff. The courtyards, the richly decorated and well-restored porticoes are rich in history and religious references and it was wonderful to be able to admire them.

This hotel was recommended to us as the best in Mandawa and is inside an ancient haveli; this gives it great charm but also some flaws, such as the decadent environments. In general the staff is very friendly and the room and bathroom are clean, plus the dinner is good, cooked in a traditional way. We were a little disappointed by the swimming pool, dirty and poorly maintained, and by the massages (we booked a 1 hour massage at full price and then in fact after 35 minutes we were told that the remaining minutes were for the shower... unacceptable) . I do not recommend it to those who want a high level of comfort because it is necessary to climb many stairs for everything and they are always narrow and dark, furthermore the rooms are poorly lit. However, I recommend it to those who want to have a particular and characteristic experience due to the beautiful decorations of ancient and original frescoes

Decent, affoorable, but very basic haveli near Mandawa, but lacking amenities western tourists would expect. (Note that this property is a few km outside Mandawa). I was in a suite and there was no TV/cable in the room. There was wifi, but of such poor quality that I had to rely on my phone's data instead. There were frequent power outages, and it would take a few minutes for them to switch to generator. The suite only had a tub, no shower stall, which was quite impractical. While this is a historic property, much of the restoration work is yet to be done. There are other historic havelis in Mandawa in much better condition than this one. While this was not a horrible choice, I would stay elsewhere where I to return to Mandawa.

Rajasthan and its tryst with history is well known. With history & kings & kingdom, places, forts & manors came naturally. Vivaana is a story or rather an experience of one such manor or haveli.
Yes, we got upgraded to a suite, we got complimentary dessert and fine Chilean wine. Along with that, there were numerous talks with the owner, Mr Khanna, who’s passion & love for the place was not just in words but quite often witnessed, through his actions . More on that a bit later.
A lot of effort has been put to make the property comfortable & flush with modern amenities. Modern yet geometric architecture, sculptures don the foray but at the same time, the amount of energy put to preserve the century old facade & artwork is worth mentioning. The place is dotted with some prized vintage/antique possessions , something worth spending time on.
Staff, without a doubt knew their work and were quite cooperative. Food was decent though if I have to rate the breakfast, the spread can be slightly more expensive. Guess that’s the only piece where I will not rate the place a ten on ten. There’s culture tour of the haveli, which is quite interesting and traditional programs in the evening.
A good management makes or break a place, been to finest of places and found that the detachment of the leadership creating a potential downward spiral. But no such issues here. As I mentioned earlier, we were greeted with complimentary dessert and drinks but that alone was not a testimony of how Personally the owners have been putting efforts to make this place what it is. During all our interaction with Mr Khanna, we understood that he is well travelled and learned person. But at the same time a particular Observation completely increased the persons respect in my eyes. After a group left the dinner table with dirty and used tissue papers under the table I saw Mr Khanna himself going and picking them up and throw it in the dustbin. That’s my friend, is sheer humility and an example of how one should run a business. What I saw will stay with me for a long time and I will take this as a learning.

This hotel has 30+ rooms, and was busy with small and larger groups during our brief stay. It was also being used as a set for a Bollywood film, which afforded a bit of excitenent, plus some irritation. Ours was a standard room, plainly but tastefully decorated, with plenty of room for luggage, a comfy big bed, clean bathroom with walk-in shower - positioned in the corner of a charming courtyard. More upmarket suites had mural decoration and luxury bathrooms, some on 2 levels. Food was OK but quite pricey. We sent back a salad that didn't have the listed ingredients, and a pizza looked pre-made. Local food was better; breakfast good. Wine exxy. Being asked to be silent during filming once or twice would have been OK, but happened repeatedly during our lunch. Not OK. Staff were friendly and efficient, but the (exxy) spa manager was a bit pushy. Town is quiet; others in the region more interesting. Vivaana comprises 2 renovated historic havelis: we were impressed by the owners' efforts in this project of rejuvenation.

Truly special place that would have deserved a few more days. An impeccably renovated historic haveli. Our room was very well looked after, without excess (typical in these parts) and with all the comforts. Fantastic staff. Puran, our waiter, was a great professional and pleasant company. It is definitely a luxury stay, which deserves the much higher than average price. Bear in mind that being a luxury hotel, all services purchased through the staff will also be a little overpriced

Perfect stay cation. Honestly, I never expected a five rate property in mandawa with the best food , and the best part was how Mr.simmone beautifully tailored the story of "VIVAANA ". special thanks to Jeetu bhaiya for being so understanding and catering my retired oldies in the best way he could. Rooms were spacious and thanks to Mr. David for the best prices. Now ,let's meet soon with our entire family.🤗

Vivaana is much more than a hotel. It is a heritage treasure of immense value that has been beautifully preseved by the management.
The Haveli has beautiful courtyards ornamented with shekhavati frescos and the small intricate changes make it even more glorious.
The rooms are spacious and well designed. We stayed in the royal room and loved every aspect of the room from staircase washroom to frescos on the wall.
Above everything else, their staff is supremely nice to you and would take care of every details. Mr.David assisted us everything with reservations, Mr. Simmons was the man always there for all our needs and it was pleasure talking to their server Mr.Pooran Singh. They all did everuthing possible to make out stay memorable.
I have stayed in over 100+ luxury hotels from leading brands across the world. The stay at Vivaana definitely comes in my top 10 stays ever.

The hotel certainly has a bar, some entertainment including karaoke in there, most guests were served drinks at their tables though.
We drove from Delhi to Mandawa, was actually very long, 9 hours due to road conditions etc.
There are more places to choose from in the Churi Ajitgarh area.
