My girlfriend and I very much needed a weekend away and we finally decided to take the chance and just do it. Rented a 2 bedroom cottage on Glenora, a new addition for them beside the new Brewery. Now for us girls, this weekend was almost perfect. The NO cable was not a big deal, the WiFi is quite slow...

We spent two restful nights at this wonderful resort. Although we would have preferred a cabin, they were all booked. However, we were very happy in the house on the other side of the road. We had a second-floor room with a small balcony looking out over the river where we could watch the boats and ferry all evening. There...

My husband and I stayed at a cottage with our 8 week old baby. We loved the location, the space in the cottage and the restaurants on the grounds. Unfortunately, it appeared that the same people do all the work and we felt bad asking for assistance. The cottage hot water tank was broken; when we let them know, they...

We have enjoyed this place for 4 years but were let down this year. It used to be a friendly, family-run place with reasonable prices for accommodation. The restaurant was good although you had to wait a long time for your food but they were so nice that it felt churlish to complain. What's happened? They are expanding and are...

My husband I used to take our kids, now grown to Lake on the Mountain for a quiet lovely getaway each summer. We loved it there, so I feel bad to be posting a negative review. But Lake on the Mountain has become a "big business" rather than a small-personalized resort it used to be. On our last visit, we...

A friend and I ate at the Inn restaurant on the patio and it was absolutely breathtaking. We were surrounded by beautiful views - Lake of the Gods on one side and Lake Ontario on the other. Plus, while eating absolutely delicious meals there was bistro type music that made us think we were in Europe. I highly recommend this...

Booked a cottage for two nights for our tenth anniversary including confirming with credit card. Three and a half weeks later got a call that we couldn't book for two nights only and aggressively tried to talk us into a cottage on mainland which would be accessible from the island by the ferry. No apology and had a bad habit of...

We just returned from a two night stay in the "house across the road" at Lake on the Mountain resort. The dinner at the Inn was fantastic but the accommodations - although clean - were not worth the nightly charge for the room. We had to drive into Picton (9 km) for breakfast and there was no water when we...

Having heard about the mysterious lake on the mountain' we booked the resort pretty early (around Feb). The cottage (#5) was clean with 2 bedrooms with all utensils available. The cottage overlooks the lake which gave a very peaceful atmosphere. Lovely place.

This is what their website says "Tree House Lakefront, two story, one bedroom with queen bed, one bathroom, gas fireplace, screened porch with excellent view of Lake on the Mountain. Two person maximum Two day minimum rental $130/day $850/week" What you should know: - there is a very narrow/enclosed/tightly wound stairwell to get upstairs, some steps so small that my...
