Overall, our stay was fulfilling and enjoyable.

The rooms we stayed in had a stair to an attic which my daughter enjoyed. The authentic Assamese restaurant within the resort is a treat to any gourmet. The main dining hall is also fairly well serving great buffet breakfast and various ala carte options. The resort arranged safari jeeps to take is into Kohra and another zone inside the forest. We were extremely lucky to have sighted a Royal Bengal tiger! Just too good a memory. Highly recommended. Hope to return another day to enjoy their warm hospitality. Assamese people are so very nice and polite. One should experience their care. The spa within the resort was also fabulous and relaxing.

But the main drawback is "ROOM HEATER" There is no proper heating system. A tiny heater is placed at one corner of a huge room. We had a bad experience as it was so cold in January. The heater cannot be shifted as there are no plug points. Itwill be fine to stay in summer. Also the bathroom needs renovation as WC is very old. But if these r rectified its a good place.

Room was damp and had an ordour, the water smells quite foul from the bathroom but water is warm and good pressure.
Restaurant staff are very pleasant.
The property is large, but needs a lot of work to keep up to the current standards. It's clean but looks pretty worn out. The rooms are spacious, however the dim-dull lighting kept a gloomy effect with the early sunsets. We stayed here for 3nights, since we also had a day trip to Hoollongapar Gibbon sanctuary.
The buffet breakfast was decent. I enjoyed a dinner at their Assamese speciality restaurant Bhatbaan. The restaurant manager will suggest the right options based on your taste.
The staff are polite and courteous but the room service is slightly laid back. We had to call multiple times for water bottles. Also for some strange reason they don't have the front office staff during early morning hours. We had an issue with the jeep in our morning safari and there was no one to help us. We raised this during check-out, but didn't get a proper reply

The person who called was not the sales person we were dealing it .
Afterwards they tried to relocate us to a hotel half the price we had paid . Not Done iora ! Get your act together .
Photographers avoid this place ! Its not for us. No early morning service . Nobody answers calls before 7 am !!! The packed breakfast is terrible. Nobody to offer water or any service at the end of the safari.
The only good thing is the assamese restsurant and Chef Sharma . He was delightful nd the food was fabulous and fresh ! The All day dining was just as bad as this was good . Breakfast spread is huge but no taste and a distinctive lack of seasoning! We had chinese one evening and the chicken was definitely stale or fried in rancid oil . No action was taken even when pointed out :( as im a chef I will know this .
"Pre book your safaris in advance. Carry masks since it can be very dusty Do visit the orchid pard and have the local Assamese thali."Read full review
