Mundota Fort and Palace stands out as a hotel lauded for its cleanliness, spacious rooms, and enchanting royal allure. While the majority of guests are enchanted by the regal atmosphere and modern amenities, some do express concerns over room maintenance and the bustling nature during events. The service earns high marks for its professionalism and attentiveness, contributing to the hotel's reputation for creating memorable stays. However, opinions on value are divided, with a few guests questioning the cost relative to their expectations. Despite this, the hotel's picturesque location and commitment to a royal experience remain a draw for many.

My husband and I tied the knot at Mundota Fort and Palace, and it was simply magical. As a Jaipur native, I wanted our wedding venue to reflect my Rajasthani heritage, and Mundota did not disappoint. From our first visit to the property to the final goodbye, everything went smoothly and felt like a dream.

The owner, Digvijay, and his team—Swapnil, Ajay, Badal, Vijay, Narendra and the rest of the staff —were incredibly hospitable and professional. They went out of their way to make our wedding vision a reality, collaborating with our planners and keeping us in the loop every step of the way. The staff's camaraderie was evident, which made the whole experience even more special.

Our guests were treated to delicious food and top-notch service. The diverse menu catered to everyone's tastes, and the staff even arranged a food tasting beforehand with the catering group they regularly work with—one of the best in Jaipur. Their own kitchen at Mundota also had incredible food, especially the breakfasts!

The rooms at Mundota were stunning, blending traditional and modern design elements perfectly. Our guests loved the luxury cottages and spacious suites, and the War Fort on the Hilltop provided a breathtaking backdrop for our wedding ceremony. We also had our wedding ceremony on the Fort and got the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen that evening. One of the other highlights was hosting Camel Polo at their renowned Polo Grounds—an unforgettable experience for everyone!

The property itself is a sight to behold, with beautiful grounds and Rajasthani artwork everywhere you look. It's just as magical at night as it is during the day, and being away from the city allowed us to party all night long.
Mundota's location, not far from Jaipur city and the international airport, made it convenient for our guests, especially those coming from abroad. Our stay was safe, memorable, and impeccable in every way.

I highly recommend Mundota to anyone looking for a special getaway. Our wedding there will always hold a special place in our hearts, thanks to the wonderful staff and management who made it all possible. We can't wait to visit again and relive the memories.

Jaipur has several forts converted into hotels, some were grand, had a hard time choosing a memorable destination stay until I came across Mundota fort and hotel. It was the jacuzzi pool at the fort perched up on the hill with a panoramic view of the valley that really captured my interest. I made a booking on their website (get the Bfast and dinner, recommended) and moments later their general manager Ajit Singh contacted me on WhatsApp to ask my expected arrival time so they can standby a welcome, also their head chef Amit also sent a message with their menu so that we can order our dinner selection in advance (which 5 star hotel does this). Mr Ajit personally welcome us at the palace hotel and showed us around the grounds and explained their glorious history. He upgraded us to the suite which is located on the palace block, which we are most grateful for his generosity. The suite face the fort up the hill accessible only by hotel’s 4 wheel drive up a thrilling bumpy ride. There are several rooms up the fort with en suite dipping pool, how cool is that. We arranged with Mr Ajit to spend a couple of hours at sunset with some beers. He personally accompanied us with a skillful driver who drove us up to the fort, showed us a couple of the rooms with phenomenal views of the valley. We spent the next couple of hours sipping chilled beer dipping our feet in the common jacuzzi pool watching the sunset. Absolutely highlight of our 2 week India trip. The palace is couple of centuries old and our suite reminisces of grandeur days gone by like my grandparents home of old, not of course modern but an experience to remember. Menu for dinner were limited but were deliciously prepared and served like a maharaja in immaculately decorated dining room. All at a reasonable price that didn’t break the bank

We had an excellent stay at the Mundota Palace. Super friendly and eager to help staff. Clean facilities, excellent food, personalized experiences - Devrajsingh arranged for a private folk dance evening to celebrate our anniversary. An evening that’s sealed in memory.

I created an account just to write this review…

The stay was incredibly disappointing and many of us came quite far to India for the first time for a dear friend’s wedding, only to experience rooms in poor condition. For a vast majority of the guests, this was their first impression of India and what an embarrassment it was.

When we entered the room, the floors were dirty and all surfaces were covered in dust. The baseboards around the perimeter of the room were falling off, as if they had not been nailed or glued to the wall. The ceiling lights were also not installed properly and were precariously hanging from three ceiling . Many of the switches were not working and some of the outlets were hanging off of the wall.

The pool inside the bathroom was filthy. There was a layer of dust and dead insects on the surface of the water. There was no way to drain the pool and there was no way to fill it. When I asked how to do so, a staff member said that they will have to bring a pump. I also showed the hotel manager, and he told me that it must have been broken; but every room had this same issue. I also saw this issue with the pools outside, all with dirty water and half full. The entire hills on both sides had garbage all over the place - there were empty plastic bottles and other plastic trash everywhere, which took away from the experience.

We were also told to call hotel staff onWhatsApp when we wanted to go from our rooms in the war fort down to the palace for wedding events. But there was no network and no Wi-Fi. You should have informed guests prior to arriving. Guests could have brought portable wifi hotspots (which I hear are readily available at a low cost) to have a connection. Also there was no landline, so guests couldn’t place a phone call down to anyone to send a car. Many people were stuck in the fort because of this.

Staff never cleaned the rooms while we stayed there. On the final day, a staff member asked when he could clean. Someone should have cleaned everyday. Not a single other guest was asked if their rooms could be cleaned.

The staff also forced many people to provide reviews on trip advisor, and only at that time produced a wifi hotspot. Guests were shocked and upset that the hotel had such devices but did not provide them when they were clearly sorely needed.

You charged $300 per night but I can’t help but wonder if this is because we’re Americans who don’t know any better. All guests deserve a refund.

Mundota exceeded our wildest expectations as a wedding venue. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was impeccable. Every corner was absolutely beautiful , creating a magical atmosphere for our special day. The staff's professionalism and understanding made the planning process seamless. Safety measures were top-notch, we were even handed over some covers containing cash after checkout which were left back by some of our guests. Each location within the property felt like a dream, contributing to unforgettable memories. Mundota, thank you for providing the backdrop for the best days of our lives. Would definitely recommend everyone to consider this as their destination wedding venue. And do not miss out on doing an event at the fort, it’s absolutely dreamy. ( we had a sundowner sangeet here) A big shoutout to Digvijay for being so cooperative and ensuring we have the best experience. Vijay, Swapnil and Amit for being the best ones to coordinate and ensure everything was absolutely flawless.

I could write a lengthy essay praising Mundota Palace and its staff to do justice, but I'll keep it brief.

Mundota Palace should be enjoyed as a destination in itself. The front desk manager, Mr. Swapnil, also acted as our Guest Relations manager. He organized a captivating tour of the 16th-century Mundota Palace. This palace offers a royal experience, with rooms furnished with antique furniture, and the Royal chef preparing meals. You can explore the Baradari, Rang Mahal, and Hilltop Fort, feeling like royalty as you interact with the furniture—it's more than just a museum visit!

Most of the staff comes from Mundota village—friendly, polite, and knowledgeable about the palace's history. Mr. Badal, who manages Housekeeping, graciously took us on a village tour, introducing us to local families of artisans and craftsmen. He even invited us to his family farmhouse for an authentic Rajasthani lunch made from organic veggies grown on their farm. Interested in Rajasthani cuisine, Mr. Amit arranged a special meal for us, expertly prepared by the Royal chef, to deepen our culinary experience.

We stayed at one of the plunge pool rooms in the Fort. The rooms were ginormous, beautifully done and gave a feel of staying in a heritage property with traditional rajasthani interiors. The private plunge pool and terrace were absolute game changers - cool, clean, magnificent views of Mundota and the perfect hangout spot for a group. The service exceeded expectations - every request was completely swiftly and with a personal touch -from room service to organizing jeeps to the palace to informing us about upcoming events. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was as pleasant as it could be! Highly recommend this property and especially the Fort rooms!

Located in a charming village, this fort stay promises an enchanting experience. During our two-night visit, September, typically a quieter season, graced us with tranquility as we often found ourselves the sole occupants. The staff, led by Ajay ji and Amit ji, delivered exceptional service and hospitality, going the extra mile to arrange a special birthday celebration.

Embracing the farm-to-table concept, the freshly prepared and delectable food added to our enjoyment. Our suite was well maintained and generously spacious. Additionally, they organized a tour to the polo ground and the hilltop war fort. While the fort was undergoing renovation, it remains accessible to guests, and the panoramic village view during sunset is simply mesmerizing. You can leisurely explore the village or embark on cycling adventures around the picturesque farmland.

For those seeking relaxation and pampering, I highly recommend this place. While it may fall into the higher price bracket, the beauty and overall experience justifies the cost.

Our time at Mundota was absolutely amazing. From the exceptional service, stunning venues, and attentive staff, to the overall atmosphere, everything felt truly luxurious. It's remarkable that this property boasts a palace, a fort, and a polo ground all within the same grounds – a truly regal Rajasthani experience.

I highly recommend having your wedding pheras at their war fort during sunset; the breathtaking colors in the sky, combined with the rustic fort and panoramic views, create an enchanting setting. During our mehandi, we also enjoyed a flawlessly executed camel polo event arranged by the hotel team.

The food was undoubtedly the best we've ever had at a wedding, and our guests couldn't stop praising it. In fact, the quality of their cuisine is on par, if not better, than that of well-known hotel brands like Taj or ITC.

The food is great, they have fantastic dishes from the tandoor. My personal favourite was the Indian course with tandoori tikkas, chicken curry along with other dishes. Must go! I also loved the coffee they served me on the terrace overlooking the beautiful palace garden and fort
