We had a pleasant and serene experience at Ananda resort. The main attraction was its ambience and theme. The resort looks exactly the same as in the pictures. Even the rooms are spacious and give you a peaceful vibe. The food is tasty and nicely prepared. Food prices are decent. The chef is pretty good. If you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is your place as the location is amidst farmlands and fantastic. They also have driver dorms with parking.
Scope of improvement- Service needs to improve. They need to be reminded about the house cleaning or anything that you are requesting them. They charged for 1 pair of slippers and 1 pair was complementary. Even though the price is less, this is not a nice gesture as all rooms are double occupancy. Ideally they should provide 2 slippers complementary like all other resorts. If you ask for more water, they would charge that as well. Food is tasty but the options are very less. They should increase their breakfast buffet spread or menu options. The pool needs to be cleaned periodically and some vigilance should be there to ensure that people are not misusing or making the pool dirty. Unfortunately, no one was there to look at the safety or cleanliness of the pool. Even the dress code was not being checked. Finally they have a good indoor gaming zone. No one was there to ask for the gaming accessories. You need to go to the reception desk every time to ask about every single thing. We felt that they have less no. staff than expected.

One word, excellent. The name of the resort has been a synonym to our experience. Its unique, beautiful and we had an amazing experience. If you like tranquility and calmess then this is the perfect place. Courteous staff, especially Mr Saheb who ensured that the guests were comfortable and prioritized hassle free check-in and great service. The theme of the resort was unique, the decor had great aesthetic and it shows the effort which went into planning and maintaining this property.

Beautiful ambience, enchanting property in white and blue that gives you greece feeling near kolkata....The staff is extremely courteous and friendly and the hospitality,quick service is commendable. Had an amazing time there with my family and celebrated my brother's 40th birthday too. The food is tasty and the breakfast spread is also nice A nice place to chill around after dinner is the pool side area that is so serene and calm The resort is surrounded by rice fields, absolutely away from the hustle bustle and noise Perfect Weekend gateway to chill,relax and enjoy.

Utterly charming Santorini-styled resort with every detail and colour mimicking the Cycladian architecture - took us back to our time in real Santorini few years back! We had taken the top room with jacuzzi and did not regret the huge space and facilities provided. Boutique resort with about 20 well appointed rooms, all amenities, clean, personalised service, good food and in a quiet location surrounded by fields. Shall stay here again if we return.

Good ambience ,the rooms were good, food was good but i feel something was missing the people were good but it should provide quick service and the reception formalities were a bit time consuming. We booked three rooms and on arrival we request to change the view but it said it was unavailable, but there wasn't as much rush in the hotel also. But all in all the stay was pleasant

Good rooms, though room sizes are small. Service is poor. We stayed in weekends. Apart from us, the hotel was fully occupied by a group of non-Bengali families from Kolkata. They were accompanied by DJs and they spent the whole evening in pool with dancing, loud noise, damaging serenity of the place. Drinks and weed was ample. The restaurant was supported by local young boys not experienced enough to handle such crowd. Didn't expect such an ambience in Shantiniketan.
Please think twice before you book.

The architecture and furnishing of the hotel is amazing. It is also located a bit outside the city right in the middle of the countryside. It is a place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. However, the hotel is not managed professionally. It is difficult to find anyone at the reception. We feel that the staff is not trained properly and the food can be improved substantially. Under proper management the hotel can be a winner

I checked in around 11 am. The rooms are better than the outer image. Room has a separate seating space. From your room you can view swimming pool. It has good restaurant. Hotel staffs are extremely cooperative. It was a Holi time. We enjoyed folk songs at open space.

I stayed at Ananda Resort on 29th and 30th September. I heard from social media that hotel is really good and I like the ambience and the breakfast however the electricity service was horrible. During my stay every 2 hours i have seen power outages . Even though they have alternate power sources but it’s manual procedure to flip. So you will find a darkness for few minutes with your family and kids in the room. If you are working OR watching TV , it will be interrupted too. It’s not worth of INR 5000 rent.
I am writing this review for travellers who can avoid such situations.

One of the best resorts in Shantiniketan, we spent a weekend with family. The pool side is very nicely done.The overall ambience is very nice! The restaurant has a good choice of food. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back again!
