I visited the resort in the month of August. It is now managed by Club Mahindra. It was in the latter part of monsoon, so the atmosphere was cloudy. Being in clouds in the mountains is an amazing experience. The resort has a very nice location with table top mountain in the backdrop. Saputara is 5kms away from the resort. The ambiance of the resort is soothing. The resort staff is well behaved. Various Indian cuisines are offered and is delicious. One must visit the resort if one is looking for complete peace and relaxation.
Anando Palms Resort is now being managed by Club Mahindra Holidays and Resorts. At the entrance you will see the board of Club Mahindra Hatgad, but the name of Anando Palms is also there. Hence the full name of this resort would read as ‘Club Mahindra Anando Palms, Hatgad’. This resort is located at the border of Maharashtra and Gujarat. The main attraction is the hill town of Saputara, which is 6 km away, and the only hill station of Gujarat. Nashik is the nearest city about 80 km south, and the road to Saputara from Nashik passes through Dindori, Vani and Borgaon. Shivaji’s fort of Hatgad is on top of a hill very close to the resort and one can trek up to the ruined fort from the resort. It is a very peaceful and serene place to spend a few days away from the hustle and bustle of city life. There is a beautiful lawn and garden at the centre of the resort where we would put up our feet and relax on the charpoys which had been thoughtfully laid out on the lawns. Bicycles were available for hire for the more energetic guests. There is a small swimming pool for the kids in one corner of the campus just behind the souvenir shop. The restaurant was serving good buffet for the guests, though we preferred the ala-carte dishes. We would drive up to Saputara to have a Gujarati thali for lunch and return to our ac room for an afternoon siesta. Our studio room had all the mod cons like microwave, electric kettle, lcd tv, hair dryer and aircon. There was a nice sit-out for our morning cuppa. It is better if you have your own vehicle so that you can drive to Saputara whenever you like. Hiring the local cabs can be quite expensive for short trips. We quite enjoyed our relaxing stay at the resort.…
Saputara (Gujarat) is just 7kms from this Club M resort, Not too far away from Mumbai, via Nasik, a good weekend or short getaway. Food good, place is well managed and large enough for big families to come over. This resort has a good spa, though at the time manned by limited staff, but they are good. Enroute one can pick berries during the season from the local farmers and orchard keepers. Our room was large and we had the one with this huge balcony / terrace on the 1st floor with outdoor sitting as well. Weather being excellent in March, this was a good one from that standpoint. Room was spacious too for us walk to and from the bath to the bed, kitchenette. Though network can be a bit a of a concern, but on a break who cares. Anyways, resort has wifi in the reception and lobby area which is very good usually.…
The resort was very nice, well maintained and all staffs were very co-operative and professional. all the rooms were facing garden as well as to village Hatgad and mountain. this place was very near to Saputara just at 6kms distance.
We spent Diwali 17 there and were there for 4 nights. To begin with, whereas the road from Mumbai to Nashik is excellent, the stretch there onward is patchy and certain stretches are pathetic! The warm welcome at the resort and the efficient checkin more than made up for it! The property is very well maintained and was definitely better than what the pictures suggested. Our 2 BR apartment on the 1st floor overlooked the Hatgad Fort from one of the bedrooms. The apartment itself was extremely spacious and luxuriously furnished, in fact it was better than some of the CM properties I have visited. A nice, large lawn with seating arrangements faces the property. We had thought that the stay might turn out to be a dull one but it was anything but that. The lively evening activities, sightseeing kept us engrossed. Saputara, a tiny hill station, is just 6 km from the resort, so having our vehicle was a blessing. We tried out the local food there. The trek to Hatgad fort was also fun..a walkable hike from the resort. The Club has recently come up with an all meals package for Members but we found it frustrating that the application of taxes is not uniform across resorts. The housekeeping staff was polite and highly efficient. We were told that the swimming pool had been shut for maintenance. One of those holidays which turned out to be much better than we expected it to be!!…
We were visiting with a small baby with us so wanted to select a calm place nearby without much hustle bustle & near to a town. Hence this was a perfect Diwali getaway. As for the resort it's size is nothing as per Club Mahindra's star resorts but that's just a small thing to complain about. Review: First I'll start with 3 of my biggest complaints: 1. Beds in 1BR apartment. The inside beds were ok but come-on the living room bed wasn't even a proper sofa-cum-bed. There's a smaller than usual sofa-cum-bed & an extra bed type for the second person. Not Club Mahindra standards. 2. Food: If you don't wish to take a buffet (@BBQ-N rates), room service is comparable to 5 star rates. Another thing: Food Bill + 18% GST is the norm throughout the country now. But only here, it is Bill + 18% GST + 5% Service Tax. So essentially 23% Tax. 3. WiFi is PATHETIC even if it's just in the lobby. Knowing that most cellular networks don't work, at least they should give this a priority. No review should be unbalanced. Hence here are the good points: 1. Spacious balcony (in some rooms). 2. Nice garden for kids to play. 3. Good kitchenette for making snacks, etc. 4. Peaceful location & just 5 kms from Saputara. Tips for fellow travellers: 1. See the room being allotted to you before check-in. And prefer rooms away from the highway. 2. Food at Kesar Restaurant (less than a kilometre) away is very good & reasonably priced. They even deliver at the main gate. M: 08975870378 3. Anando is okay for non-veg. Not great but not bad either. 4. Carry your own liquor as all highway bars/shops operating earlier have shutdown due to Govt's policy. 5. Only BSNL cellular works well here. Vodafone worked but the signal was weak. And forget Jio totally over here. Hope my review comes in handy for fellow travellers.…
We were at "anando palms hatgadh club mahindra" 6km away from main city (officially in Maharashtra) away from chaose; at the vally of 'hatgudg' fort. Scenically beautiful with 'sunrise' and 'sunset' view from room and across the road respectively with breif country side leisure walk way to nearby village roads too. Resort stays up to expectations for food, safety, comfort & hygienic anti insecticidal spraying. Kids do have in house play zone with adults entertainment events by the resort. Spa & shop are good too. Tiny uncontrolled water temperature pool with baby safety is nice but can't swim as such; still worth dipping if temperature permits. Slides; swings, trempoline, cycling, jumping keeps kids buzy. Open lawn with gazibo are place to talk. Hot water get shower really takes away your spasms of hilly walks. Flavour of food are appropriate with options of buffet or `a la carte & whole day package with adequate Jain options too. Evening tea with snacks at open venue with mountain view is worth sitting at, as you return from day trip. But breakfast & dinner package is worth as you are out whole day. With in room fridge, kettle & microwave, carry your curry if on 'specified' diet or having unique taste buds or little one to pamper. Luxury comes at appropriate cost.…
Happened to visit this place at Hatgad for lunch. The property is beautiful in the backdrop of Hatgad fort. Its just beside Club Mahindra, Hatgad. The place offers great veg & non-veg food. The staffs were responsive. Overall a great stop.
Stayed in Club Mahindra Hatgad fro 3 days. My thoughts on the trip: 1. Hatgad is close to Nashik, Shirdi etc...So, it is worth going to Hatgad only if you combine with other places as otherwise Hatgad by itself is not a great location as it is not a spectacular hill or beach resort to travel from far off places for this alone. This place does not seem to have anything other than this resort. 2. Sapurtala, which is 6 kms from Hatgad is a better location as it seems to be at a slightly higher altitude, has a lake, multiple activities, and a reasonably active town with shops and business activities. About the resort: 1. We took the 2 bed room option, and it was massive for the 4 of us with a nice kitchen with microwave/refrigerator/utensils, huge living area, and duplex king size bedrooms with spacious bathrooms. Overall, loved our accomodation. 2. Also, when we went, the place was full and quite active. So, the kids were able to keep themselves busy with several activities inside the resort itself like badmintion, carrom, games etc. 3. Food was typical club mahindra with good options... 4. If you don't have a car, it is difficult to move around unless you take transportation from CM which is usually expensive. There are no autos or taxis outside. To go to Sapurtala, one private operator charges Rs.200 one way. Will be good if CM operates a free shuttle to Sapurtala every 2 or 3 hours from the resort. 5. Our Airtel Mobile did not work from the room...You have to come to the reception to get any signal...Strange in this modern era to be without connection for a few days. One comment on the travel desk: I took Club Mahindra's help to take a cab from Nashik to Hatgad. Nagesh from Travel desk arranged for the cab and the deal was to show us around Nashik and drive us from there to Hatgad. Cab driver was very rude, and not cooperative. Similarly, through CM travel desk, we had arranged for a cab from Hatgad to Mumbai with stopover at Sula Vineyards and Trimbak. Midway through our trip, the driver fixed up another job to pick up someone at the airport after dropping us. As a result, he was restless when we took slightly longer time at the Trimbak temple. In both the cases, I was expecting better cars as you expect from CM, and also more professional behaviour from the drivers. It was a let down. In future, it would be better from CM travel desk to do some filtering before assigning the right drivers. I should agree that Nagesh was quite helpful in coordinating the trips.…
I had a lovely experience here. It was my babies 1st birthday and thanks to the staff - surprise decoration and cake. It made us feel soo special. The Staff is very helpful, great hospitality and rooms are big with great view. They provide 1300 pp buffet for the entire day which is reasonable. The staff organising full day activities for kids and adults, plenty of games, movie for kids, family games keeps you so happy. There is a small dhabba 'Ekveera' just opposite to this resort which provides good food and is really cheap. Other restaurants are 6km @ saputara. All Activities like boating, paragliding, jain temple, ropeway, camel riding, horse riding all are nearby itself hence wont get bored at all. Thank you Club Mahindra Hatgad for the lovely experience.
