Detailed Reviews
The best part about this property is access to the beach. It is literally on the beach. A beach that itself is amazing for its length, cleanliness and options for activities without being crowded.
The cottage rooms are simple, clean and comfortable. The food was good and as we visited during Navratri fasting time, it was made to our choice as per our fasting requirements. Our children had regular vegetarian meals and they loved it.
The staff is warm and friendly and the place is ideal as nice quiet retreat to just sit and watch the sea waves and sun set. Dapoli is about 15-20 minutes away and so away from the noisy traffic.
Highly recommended if you are looking for beach fun and frolic.

Nice location near the beach. Rooms are basic. Very courteous staff. Food order to be given on advance. Quality of food is good though it takes time inspite of ordering in advance. My breakfast order was brought so late that I ended up taking it as a parcel

+1
Bang on view with beach in front only not even a min walk. Good spacious rooms. Clean and neat do not expect lavish interior. The outside area is pleasant place with coconut trees around giving the feel of kokan area. Best view of beach in evening hours and midnight moonlight was mesmerising. Veggies food is average good. Enjoyed the breakfast. Overall good place to relax and chill out in peaceful place connect to nature.Mini Goa vibes when on beach.

Pears Beach resort is located 10 kilometers south west of Dapoli at Ladghar. It is right on the beach, it has 17 rooms/cottages. The beach here has red gravel instead of sand, as a result of the red soil sunset here is a sight to behold. The food prepared is too order, does take time, it is worth the wait. The approach from Dapoli is over a narrow tarmacked road, overtaking is possible at selected points. The last half kilometer is an earthen road. Having your own vehicle helps. There are no shops nearby, an ideal place if one likes a peace full setting.

We visited Pears Beach Resort in Ladgarh during Christmas and it was wonderful to be there. It’s at a distance of about 230 Km from Pune but a drive of roughly 5 ½ hrs as the road condition is not that great. As we were approaching the resort and were at a distance of 500 meters, we suddenly saw the vast sea down below and were all ecstatic. The feeling was so refreshing that the travelling fatigue vanished instantaneously.
The resort is just 50 meters away from the beach and it was amazing to be able to view the sea right from the verandah of the cottage we took. Rooms are of decent size and relatively clean but carrying your own bed sheets is not a bad idea. Food options are limited for vegetarians but those who love fish and chicken, there are lots to choose from. The quality of food is good too. The service team is courteous and prompt in their response. Overall it’s a nice place to spend few days and certainly value for money.
The clean and serene beach of Ladghar stretches across a long area and not at all crowded. We went to the beach in the afternoon the day we reached there and it seemed like as if we own that place as there were no other people around. We were amazed to find such an undisturbed beach and really had a ball there. Dolphin watching is one of the attractions there and we sailed across to a distance in the next morning by a small boat. Though I didn’t have much hope of sighting dolphins but still wanted take that trip as sailing in this majestic sea by itself was to be such a striking experience. However the icing of the cake was to find so many dolphins playing around in the water. Our boat was circling across an area and the dolphins were riding waves all around us in rhythm. In the evening, it holds activities such as Para Gliding, Scooter & Bullock-cart riding on the beach and we enjoyed doing that as well. Sunrise & Sunset on the beach is always spectacular and it was not different there.
On the whole it was a wonderful experience at Ladghar – fantastic place to recharge your battery. We thoroughly enjoyed this trip and want to be back there soon.

I stayed here recently for the second time.
About the rooms.
1. rooms are small but clean.
2. Cottage room has one queen sized bed and one single bed. 3 pax can accommodate easily.
3. Hot water is served between 8-10 am
4. Every cottage has private sit-outs. You can find many Hammocks around. You can play badminton/volleyball as nets are available.
Other tips-
1. Though the beach is clean and less crowded, It is certainly not the best in Kelshi-Anjarle-Murud-Karde belt. Water smells bad. I would recommend Kelshi over Ladghar.
2. Do not forget to visit Shri Datta Temple which is on the top of nearby hill. The views of the sky and sea are unforgettable from the top.
3. If you are a drinker, remember that there is only one place where you can get beer at Ladghar-Hotel Palvi which is 5 min. walk from Pears. You can consume alcohol within premises of Pears.
Overall Pears serves you good in terms of hospitality and food.

I had been to Ladghar Beach just 2 days back. We stayed at this Pears Resort.
My views about this place and hotel...
Ladghar beach is a lovely place to be with your friends or family. Go pack your bags and reach this place to skip from your daily routine and ever ringing mobile phones.
Very clean beach, not yet commercialized as what has happened to Dive Agar.
Regarding hotel, I would not recommend it for the stay. As I had been there with my four other friends, the owner Mr Pednekar seemed to be giving personal attention to the family guests more than us.
The rooms were not cleaned for 3 days. Even the set of towels were unchanged.
I guess there is now a trend of calling a simple hotel or lodge as a Resort.
There are quite a few other hotels adjacent to this Pears resort. Please give a preference to them.
I sincerely hope Mr Pednekar goes through my review and improve the things at their end.
Thanks.

I recently had been to Ladghar with my family. My brother, his family and parents also accompanied us. We had booked three cottages. I enjoyed my stay here and particularly my kids had a gala time. The hotel was right on the beach and we could hear the sea right into our cottages. The food served was very good including the breakfast which is covered in the room tariff. I particularly liked the Sol kadhi and fish.
Regarding the cottages, my cottage had some gaps in roof and hence had possibilty of insects/lizards crawling inside but we were lucky that we did not face that issue. The other two cottages were good.Hot water is started at a specific time. Things to see around is the Shri Datta mandir on one end and Burundi fishing village at the other end.We also made a trip to Kadyavarcha Ganpati at Anjarle and then to Kelshi.
On saturday night, a group of bachelors was making lots of noise, drinking and talking in very high tone. We informed Mr. Pednekar and then he saw that families are not disturbed while the group of bachelor also enjoyed with music turned down to acceptible levels.
One morning I surveyed the other hotels on the stretch of the road and found Pears Beach resort was the best.
After the day we left Ladghar and proceeded towards Guhagar and stayed at one of the hotels there, my kids immediately reacted and said they missed the Pears beach resort and it was the perfect.

Best part being the beach proximity...you can see the beach from your cottage or room. Book in advance for good front beach facing cottages. Food is awesome. Both veg and non veg just inform them beforehand. Prawns dry and kingfish curry is what I had for all days I stayed there and never got bored of it just couldn't get enough of it...I would highly recommend this place!

The best feature of this resort is its location- its bang on the beach! Plus there is ample things to do in the resort- view the beautiful sunsets while sitting on the hammock in resort or while sitting in the swing. Think tranquility, peace and lovely breeze.. and this place comes to mind! Do not forget to trek up & visit the Shri Datta temple. Its beautiful and vv peaceful. Plus you get great views of the sea from top. The food setting is also done in the outdoors of the resort, so its quite enjoyable.

I would strongly recommend to drive your own vehicle, as there is not much option for online taxi booking. And the place has not developed to such extent that there will be a cab facility arranged. However, would recommend speaking to the hotel directly.
