We were 2 folk who stayed there for 2 days and I must say it was a welcome break. Location of hotel is good; right in front of the lazy river. You can get in the river and have some happy moments. The flow is slow and the depth is negligible with only foot going inside. We had to find a spot to lie down as the water was too shallow. The rooms were quite bug in size. We took the one on the first floor which was very spacious and with a balcony. It had bunker beds that can easily accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids. It had all the amenities; the washroom was a bit smaller though compared to the room size. We had breakfast includes and it was awesome. There were not many guests there so they served the buffet menu on the table and I must say that it was delicious. Poha, omelet, Chole puri, etc. everything they prepared was good. It also has some out door activities like archery, badminton etc. I highly recommend this property.…
We loved this stay. One of my colleague stayed here in the past and always praised for its service and food. So we thought of giving a try and they proved to be best. Location is just awesome, just beside a small water stream. Rooms are good and spacious. The room we chose had a attic with a double bed as well which can be used for children. Food is just awesome as well as reasonable. Resort is at a little away from town, so you don't find any outside restaurants easily. In such situation, eating in the resort doesn't hurt you. Overall, great experience.
Upon booking, we were under the impression that it is a family-friendly resort but to our surprise, it was more of an open drinking and hookah club which their management completely support so if you are the guy who loves drinking and would like to experience drinking and smoking in mountains then this is the spot for you. Finally, our daughter of 6 yr old came to know what a Hookah is and how a young man loses his control when he is drunk and she had this life lesson every night on how to smoke and drink together on an open lawn and create a nuisance which their staff fully support (I'll come to that later). We booked 2 rooms, one Deluxe (108) which was even smaller and worst than the semi-deluxe one, and one Semi-Deluxe(107) for a 3-night stay. This Deluxe room was the worst room like I said and was not even close to what you see in the images. Those images of the hotel and rooms are delusional. Room 108 was an old room with poor quality curtains and broken curtain rods and with the black glasses on the window where anyone can see inside at night because curtains were not covering the window completely but obviously, it wouldn't make any difference if we were all drunk which wasn't the case with us because we were there to enjoy on a family trip and not to get wasted. There were moisture all over the walls and paint was literally falling off. Floor tiles in the bathroom were actually tiles we use for walls which were so slippery that I slipped 3 to 4 times and somehow managed not to fall and get hurt and it is the same story with every bathroom. In short, the quality of the room was pathetic. And worst of all, room 108 was next to the kitchen where the staff makes a loud noise every night while doing the dishes which was nothing short of a nightmare if you are a light sleeper like me but of course, if you drink then you'll sleep like a baby lol. On the second day, we called the reception at around 2 am and upon complaining about the loud noises coming from room no. 106 which was next to us and those were the same people drinking on the lawn an hour ago, all get to hear was "okay" and then they disconnect the call. We didn't make a fuss about it then and there because we were with 3 kids and don't want them to get the wrong impression out of our complaints so we kept quiet and tried to enjoy our stay. Despite our dissatisfaction with the room quality we were hoping for good food to compensate for it but that went down the drain again. Each time we ordered bread (naan and paranthas) they were burnt and literally dipped in oil. Finally, we decided to look for an alternate and found Dillon Da Dhabba(not actually Dhaba but a restaurant) which was around 15-18 km away (opposite side of Lansdowne and towards Delhi), and believe me, it was totally worth going 30-40 km every single time. On our second day (we went to Tarkeshwar Mahadev temple) and on the third day (Jim Corbett) we decided to have lunch and dinner at Dillon Da Dhabba. We were two families with 3 kids and I booked a Deluxe room under a deal at Agoda and booked another (a semi-deluxe room) for our family friend for a whopping 4000 per night directly by calling at the resort. While checking out when we get to explain our experience to Mr. Negi who was the person in charge there and to our surprise he was fully aware of everyday open drinking and smoking on the lawn and kind of supported it as well by saying that they are aware of it and this is how it is because people demand to drink and smoke in open and they can't deny it. I was literally like WTH! Why don't you just name it an open restro-bar? How come this is a family resort? This place is not for kids or even close to family-friendly. In fact, a couple of other senior citizens whom we talked to were quite surprised at those late-night parties and hooliganism. Will I ever visit this resort again? Definitely Not! I'd strongly suggest moving a few km more towards Lansdowne (this resort is in Kotdwar) and you'll find not only better hotels/resorts with an exceptional view but surprisingly in similar pricing as well.…
Located at foothills of Corbett and by the gently flowing stream, its a perfect getaway for a relaxing weekend. Well maintained by Mr.Negi and support staff who are very coordial.Kids friendly, having playing area and games . Good Food, Great Ambience.
Staff was very unfriendly. Attitude of staff was not cooperative. They are not hoteliers they are just local boys from near by villages far enough from hotel management ethics. Staff is the main concern for couples security. They are threat if you are staying with woman partner. Please avoid this resort with the family. Only good thing about resort is the location.
It's 25 km before LANSDOWNE. Resort is built on bank of small river and that's the only benefit of this Resort. Second benefit is it's PET FRIENDLY. Food is average and staff is not that polite quite unfriendly. Not at all interested in Room cleaning and providing Toiletries on their own. You need to call them. Breakfast is good and they serve good options. Overall food was okay. Average hotel with average rooms. We stayed in Super delux room. Room cost is also not too much. Approx 3200 per night.
It's an awesome place to stay in Lansdowne located along the coast of the river. Fabulous hospitality provided by the host Mr. Negi. He was very gentle and understanding as one can understand what are the guest looking for. I enjoyed the fantastic venue and hospitality along with my family. Also the the location and food was awesome like homestyle.
Nothing could be better than being at this place with tranquil views and delicious food. My husband and I stayed for 3 night with our pet !! We never felt like leaving the place for once , to visit the near by location . We were in the property the whole time and had so much fun being at the river side. Our pet enjoyed every second of her stay at the resort. The staff was polite and always available to help. I can’t thank enough to the cook for luscious food . Thankyou Brij ji
if you wish to escape the city choas then do stay at S.B mount resort while enjoying the the views of green lush mountains of Lansdowne. the most attractive perk of the resort is that it is situated right in front of a fresh water river, sometimes you may find small fishes and crabs or you may even witness a beautiful kingfisher hunting its prey. Along with the scenic beauty the resort's amenities are equally satisfactory, the services are delightful, the staff is family friendly, the food is as delicious as ambrosia. I had the best stay ever ! our room was super deluxe , it had an elegant interior with a unique concept of bunk bed . We had a really great time in the river also we enjoyed playing outdoor games provided by the resort faculty. me and my family also witnessed a swamp deer ( barasingha) on the back mountain It was worth staying there! I wish to thank the S.B. Mount staff and management…
Hi Readers, I have stayed here with my family for a night during my lansdown trip. The location of the resort is quite good and resort having a dedicated safe place for car parking. You can enjoy the river here during the stay, this is a good place for family gathering. Management need to focus a little more on the cleanness and food quality and i think sleep quality is another area to improve. Some folks were playing archery around 11:30pm and I think management need to put some time line for those activities so that other can sleep peacefully. Will visit again.
