Having been to Rajasthan many times there is still the chance of coming across unique hotels. This kothi is one of them. Unpretentious but with charm. It ticks all the boxes - heritage, charm, great service, ambience - and more and the 'more' are the horses. Beautiful Marwari horses which are looked after with great love by a friendly crew in... I stayed for 2 nights with my wife on a tour through the area and we were delighted with the welcome, the rooms, the food and the service. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable with excellent bathroom facilities. The hotel itself is very quiet and relaxing. The grounds are just gorgeous - from the swimming pool to the... Lovely heritage hotel, with beautiful rooms, swimming pool, stables with many horses, etc. The meals were delicious, and the dinning room is very clean and everything very well organized. We stayed there for two nights, we were a group of 5 people including our guide. There is good wifi near the restaurant. The shower worked well and there was hot... More

Roop Niwas Kothi was recommended to us by Kan Singh Rajawat of Rajasthan Visit Tours and it was an excellent choice. It took a while to get there along unmade roads and through winding village streets. Goats abounded and the car had to avoid both them and unattended children. There were several almost florescent green houses, so perhaps that was... More

Wonderful hosts, well equipped comfortable rooms, with excellent food every night. The horse riding experience was unforgettable as are the enigmatic hosts. Facilities and gardens can't be faulted. The history of this Kothi adds to the charm. Can't recommend it highly enough.

We stayed at Roop Niwas Kothi for 2 nights in October. The rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. Common areas are OK but not special. The horses, however, do provide a special touch. It was lovely to stroll around the beautiful grounds and watch the horses early in the morning. We ate two breakfasts and one dinner at the... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night only. Wish we had booked a longer stay but we were travelling around Rajasthan and had no extra time. It was recommended by our driver, as was the town, so we decided why not. So happy we visited this town and stayed at the hotel. The staff are very accommodating. The... More

A lovely welcome, the hotel has wifi in reception. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings, still a kings palace, but some of the building has been converted into a hotel, the kings stables and horses are still there. A lovely terrace at the front where you can share stories of your day and have an evening drink. A nice swimming pool area with... More

You will be greeted like royalty with banners and traditional red dot on your forefront when walking up the stairs to this hotel. Although an older Heritage Hotel with some maintenance issues the friendly atmoshere and Ambiente of a bygone era will totally make up for that. Nice parklike grounds and good sized Pool round the picture.

My family and I spent four wonderful days as guests at this beautiful old family estate in Rajasthan. We arrived late in the evening and were welcomed warmly by the staff. The food was the best we had during our two week journey through India. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed lounging around the pool and the... More
