We had a nice stay. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable and the breakfast served to our room each day was very enjoyable. The gardens and grounds are lovely. The staff were very friendly. Alejandro was kind enough to show us how to make yerba mate like a local. There was a lot to see in the area. We enjoyed our stay.
A piece of Europe close to the amazing uruguayan beaches. We had a lovely experience at Villa Toscana. Service was just good and the place itself is so beautiful. Such a great atmosphere to enjoy the sunset surrounded by all those lemon trees. We chose to have breakfast in the pool area. Definitelly recommended. Looking forward to coming back!
We were very well attended, it was raining a lot but still a wonderful experience; attentive staff Perfect breakfast, you choose what you want for coffee and they deliver it in the room, fantastic for a cold day... nos quedamos muy felices com la estancia. Dulce de letche deliciosa lugar encantado cerca del lago y el bosque; 🇺🇾🥰🇺🇾🥰❤️🍖🍷🍷❤️❤️🇺🇾👫😆❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
A very nice boutique hotel resembling a Tuscany villa. A very nice garden with small houses around (the hotel rooms) and comfortable rooms in the main building. The surroundings are a placid forest and a lagoon.
This place is a gem. It’s about 15 mins to Punta Del Este and only 2 mins to a very nice beach. Definitely recommend having a car. Parking is free. The hotel grounds are stunning and tranquil. There are beautiful gardens where you can sit and enjoy breakfast or quietly write and read. The pool is clean and pretty. They have umbrellas, chairs, and beach towels for you to take with you to the beach. The suites are a good size, very clean and well decorated. The bed was comfortable. We had a suite that opened into the garden. There were many people staying at the hotel but everyone is well spaced out so you don’t feel like there are many there at all. The owner is extremely kind and hospitable. The other people who work there are so accommodating and helpful. Highly recommend!!
We stayed here off season from Sunday to Tuesday and it was the most relaxing experience. I get the feeling we were the only ones in the hotel (very private, only a couple of rooms) but this made no difference as the premises allow you to find your own little resting place with or without other people around. Room was charming, full of character and with all modern amenities. All rooms are different and decorated in their own particular way. We stayed at La Bodega, totally recommend it if you like arches and exposed bricks (I do!) Breakfast is included with all rooms and as there is no one designated place to serve it, you can chose to have it anywhere in the common premises or your room. The place is covered in flowers and greenery, the building is very much like anything you would find in the italian countryside so you definetly get the villa vibe. The staff was very friendly and attentive, ready to provide recommendations and guidence about what to do in the area. (The hotel is not located in the centre of Punta so driving is a huge plus) All in all, if what you are looking for is a place to rest and unwind, Villa Toscana is a MUST.…
The hotel is very nice. With toscana ambiance. People are INCREDIBLY helpful and friendly. One interesting feature: the hotel doesn't have a central restaurant, so every guest can choose where to have breakfast o meals. This is great! When we went there, the hotel was full but you rarely see other guests. If feels as it is all for you. Absolutely recomend! Every room has different decor.
This hotel has been beautifully restored and modernized. It has tremendous ambiance, and the photos already present represent what you will experience. The staff is friendly and accommodating. You can reach Punta del Este and Punta Ballena easily. There are local restaurants that are good and do not require the drive to Punta del Este. Strongly consider this hotel. It is very romantic.
A wonderful place with a lot of privacy and great decor. The rooms are unique, very different from the basic hotels and very well kept. The owners are very gentle and polite. The room were always clean and the food was good.
If you have a car and don't need to be in the middle of the Punta craziness, this little gem of a hotel is an amazing refuge. The garden is lush and full of lavender which may be why time spent sunning by the tiny pool requires no big repellent. Anna makes the orange juice fresh from the trees in this gorgeous garden; it's quite possibly the best orange juice in Uruguay. She also serves very big breakfasts which a couple of times made me so full I wasn't hungry until dinner at 9 pm! The beds are super comfortable, and the sheets are excellent quality. There is a little safe in the room which was big enough for everything I needed it for, and a tiny fridge --empty--so I could put my own drinks in. I love that in a hotel room! The hotel owners bought the land and built the hotel and are quite posssibly the most gracious people I've ever met. Come as a guest, leave as a friend, and you'll never want to stay anywhere else. …
