Really great chef, good service (needed extra hands at breakfast), comfortable rooms, Michael managed the bar, got in the coal, answered questions about gaffer tape, supplied cling film to the birthday party, all with very good humour ... but our room took ages to warm up & the restaurant was chilly.

Read many reports about this hotel before staying most saying how good the food was but how expensive everything was. Initial impressions on arrival were not the best. Was greeted well and shown to our room which was nicely decorated and a good size. However it was freezing. I tried to turn on the radiator to no effect. I also...

My husband and I recently stayed at the new inn. We thought the location was divine, great quality food and the rooms were decorated to the highest standard. Unfortunately the staff were not at all friendly , very straight faced and lacked enthusiasm . We cannot fault the actual hotel but it would have been better if the staff were...

The place is hundreds of years old! Adds to the charm and experience. Last minute booking and we got the top floor, 9 bed sleeper! Renovated with modern taste, and still retaining some of the old world charm. Staff were friendly, and location of the hotel is central. The only thing that could have been better was the heating in...

We almost stumbled across the New Inn earlier this year and had a (huge portioned) lunch. We were charmed by the tasteful decor and the service. Nice pub-style food too (not gourmet but good). So we decided to return at Halloween. We initially booked the Executive Suite but I'm a snorer so often need separation! That room also has views...

Beautiful setting and fantastic service but a little pricey. Ideal getaway for a short stay. Breakfast was superb and there was no limitations on what you could order or how much you could eat. Great if you have a healthy appetite. The decor was flawless in our room, beautiful actually. Had a lovely stay.

Had lunch during the middle of the week , so fairly quiet . Good service and obviously food prepared by a proper chef . We only had sandwiches but top quality with nice wine and very good local beer . Plan to go again for a la carte meal . Dog friendly .

I visited this hotel with a group of friends celebrating a number of birthdays. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The food was fabulous and the host was very welcoming. Even though we were a little loud celebrating no one complained and the staff were brilliant with us. Everyone was very friendly. Also it was very reasonably priced. Great...

Visited for a Friday night with friends. Gorgeous little village with a small stream across from the pub. The New Inn itself looks very impressive from the front and didn't disappoint inside. It has been renovated to a high standard with a lovely bar area. Our room was small but had everything we needed and the ensuite was quite quirky...

Overnight stay from the Isle of Skye back to London with our dog this time. Very pooch friendly pub with specific rooms allocating for furry friends. Our room was on the ground floor and can also accommodate anyone with a disability. See photo showing wet room. The only downside to the bathroom is the size of the sink. It's absolutely...
