We went to Pangong in the last week of April 2023. Since this was my 2nd visit to Ladakh I wasn't expecting a lot from this place as I have had previous experience of staying in basic camps in Pangong 6 years back. So Pangong Sarai is located quite inside in the stretch of camps located around this lake...Pangong itself was so beautiful in its half molten and half frozen form that we really did not mind the stay...However once we entered the camp we were pleasantly surprised seeing the big comfortable bed which was not at all expected. Then the toilet was spic n span and quite luxurious for such a place. To top them was the oil heater which would be switched on from 8 pm till 11pm in the night and again from 4 am in the morning. The camp was cozy for us and kept warm throughout the night with -17 degrees temp. outside. Sharp at 5:15 am the staffs knocked our door to inform that hot water was on and it was piping hot water good enough to even take a head bath if we wanted. Teh dinner buffet was widespread with fresh roti, mutter pulao, mutter paneer with cream, fruit n bread pudding, soups, and a variety of dal and fresh veggies....Ample hot water for drinking and filling our hot water bags though we really did not need it considering the heater was on. Breakfast was lavish as well with paratha, subzi, curd, grilled fresh mushrooms, tea, coffee, fruits , upma, poha etc. In short Pangong never promises of luxurious stay and we were pleasantly surprised with the comfort availed at this place along with the friendly staffs. We highly recommend arranging your stay with Ladakh Sarai group during your visit here. Amazing stay, beautiful view, great staff, good food . So all over a happy comfortable stay.

My husband and I visited Ladakh for our honeymoon anfld booked the Pangong Sarai for our stay at Pangong. Pangong Sarai us located in Mann, a quaint little village by the pangong lake. Despite the remote location, the pangong sarai tent provided us with unexpected comfort. The tents have heaters and hot water facility available between fixed times. The tents are made in such a way that one doesn't feel the chill inside the tent. Guests are provided with hot drinking water in a flask and the water stays hot for over 12 hours. The tents are well furnished and the bathrooms contain modern fixtures. The camp managenent was most hospitable and tried to accomodate all our needs. To top it all, the food, although vegetarian, was an absolute delight. All in all, pangong sarai is perhaps the best place to stay at if one is visiting Lake Pangong.

We stayed for 1 night in mid Sep at Panging Sarai. The place is in Mann which is farthest away from start of the lake but the views are the same from any of the 3 places where accommodations are put up. There are not many other accommodations in Mann other than Sarai. This place is right on the lake and presents a great view and its just a 200-300 mt walk right up to the breathtaking lake.

Pros:-
1. Pangong is just out of the world and has to be visited
2. The location is good and presents great access to the lake
3. Service and food is good as we found across the Sarai hotels
4. They keep emergency oxygen cylinders in case guests need them. During our stay we had a group of 50+ age grp from Bangalore and they called for these.
5. Hot water bottles and extra blankets are also provided

Cons:-
1. Pangong can get really cold and yurts cant keep away all the cold. We were warm thanks to the Yurts and layers of warm clothing and extra blankets.

All in all we had a good stay. They ran short of hot water bottles and blankets which sucked but we had a comfortable stay. The low oxygen levels in Pangong can be a challenge and we struggled with headache during the stay.

Simple food yet very tasty. Staff is very friendly. Room heater is quite effective. Warm water is available from dusk till dawn.
This is a tough terrain, and really tough weather. The staff does it's best to keep you happy. Still I missed having an intercom to call the reception from the room. Airtel postpaid works for some time of the day (depending on what's allowed by the army there).
Overall, an excellent place for a family camping trip.

Overall the lake itself is more commercialized than probably before. Having experienced their property in Hunder went with similar expectations and fell below par.
The property itself is a bit away from the lake and been clouded by the other construction which has come up there around. The pathway to the property itself goes through a made shift way through other properties.
The staff was a bit underwhelming and not really welcoming. The lack of internet and communication to the outside world, along with the 4200 m height could be a reason. However being part of a big group, means that customers would want similar service levels.
The cottage itself was ok though availability of hot water is available only till around 8 in the morning.
We had booked two nights but left a day early.

Organic village in nubra valley one of our best stays … totally with nature … and staff so helpful and friendly and they go out of their way to help …Very very comfortable beds beautiful backdrop clean fresh towels sheets and running hot water … lovely bathroom.. nice hammock to lie outside under the apricot trees … good food what else could one want …good place to enjoy and rest specially after a long long drive as we drove most of the way from Amritsar to sonmarg to Kargil Leh then nubra …. Would definitely prefer this to stone hedge which even though location is good too but typical hotel feel while this was an experience…

We stayed at Pangong Sarai for a night during our Leh trip in June 2023. The stay was good, however the 'Lake View' rooms does not really give you a good view of the Pangong lake. The lake is quite far from this property. Food was good and the staff was helpful. Being more of a camp the overall comfort level was good and we honestly did not have anything to complain. I would definitely recommend this place.

First time in Pangong Sarai and we were skeptical about the place especially with no internet to our disposal. We worked over WhatsApp with Thinsay to reserve our rooms. Rooms are clean considering where we are with town focused on not modernizing everything (thank god). Heaters are available only at night for 4 hours. Take oxygen tank on rent with you from Leh. Food was fantastic and made fresh on site. Walkable distance from the lake do enjoy the view multiple times during your visit. It does get cold at night so do layer up well.

Dear Sir, The 8 kilometre stretch, is rough road, yet the drive is along the scenic beauty of the lake. Maan village where the camp is situated is a very peaceful village and its completely secured, yet, we don't have round the clock security at the camp. I don't know about any camp in Ladakh where there is security guard. I would consider that our isolation as serene and more secured than the place is where there are almost 50 to 60 campsite in one secure kilometres radius.
