Buska Lodge in Turmi offers some of the best accommodation in the whole of South Omo. My twin room was great and well ventilated, ensuring it remained cool despite the hot weather. An improvement from my first stay was the availability of massage services where I was able to get a wonderful massage that soothed my back after seating in...

We spent 1 night at the Buska Lodge on a tour of southern Ethiopia. The lodge rooms are large - rather basic but a good bed with mosquito nets - did not see any at the end of the dry season - the bathroom could certainly be improved but it works and there is hot water. The dining/ bar area...

Food was excellent, we ate breakfast and dinners here. Staff was very nice and friendly. Wifi was good but only available in the restaurant. Grounds were nice. Our hut was spacious and clean. They turn off the generator at night however so no fans and it did get very hot when we were there. The only negative for me. Otherwise...

The Buska Lodge is simple, but it has style. It is better than average, just for the restaurant area where we sat and read our books after enjoying our supper, and it is the best hotel in the area. The round house of the restaurant with open sides has sections of curtains, tied in the middle during the daytime and...

I stayed here in January 2017 as part of a week long solo trip (with a local guide) around the Omo Valley I know this is Ethiopia, so I had set my expectations accordingly. That said, I can't really give anything higher than a 3 star rating / maybe could be 3+ because everything is relative. Buska Lodge is located...

My wife and I stayed for a couple nights as a base to explore South Omo Valley in February 2017. Having spent a few nights in various hotels and lodges in Ethiopia, we have the "right" expectation on the standard of hotels in the country and found ourselves in a pleasant but generally lackluster lodge. Buska Lodge is located slightly...

Would have given five stars, but the mosquito nets are full of holes, do not close completely, and make you worry all the time about mosquitos coming and feasting on you while sleeping. Other than that the place is great, food is awesome, especially considering the remote location. Staff are nice, the grounds very clean. It is a nice 10...

Highly recommended. We were a group of five people. We stayed in the lodge during two nights visiting the varios tribes in the Omo valley. We evento crossed river Omo in one very special boat. Native people very kind and friendly to us. We visited the markets of Mursis and other tribes in the area. Ir is true that natives...
