Visited this hotel April 2017. We received a warm welcome, staff attentive and our room was cosy and warm. Evening meal was good and breakfast delicious; however it included a cup of coffee and a refill always pleasant at breakfast time. Location was good and well worth a trip to Drumranlig Castle, the tour was excellent! Overall, a pleasant and...

Warm, inviting and friendly hotel. Nicely decorated, attentive and pleasant staff. I had the spicy lamb flat bread, salad & chips. Very nicely presented and tasted great. Scott had the chicken curry which tasted good, althought the chicken breast was in batter? Curry portion was small and would not suit those with a healthy appetite. Overall a lovely supper.

We stayed here in April and were given a top floor room which was very roomy and clean. The owners have created lovely accommodation with modern fittings and luxury on suite facilities. Breakfast was included which was very good and staff were friendly and kept us topped up with tea and coffee. Will definitely be back soon and will hopefully...

Another superb meal. I was concerned that I would not be able to choose courses that suited my Weight Watchers plan but I need not have worried. After telling the waitress that I wouldn't be having a starter due to my diet she recommended as a starter the grilled aubergine which was delicious and it was followed by catch of...

Stayed one night for bed and breakfast only as was eating at a friend's house. Booked two single room which were both well furnished, spacious and clean with everything one would expect in them. The breakfast was excellent and everybody we spoke to was friendly and helpful. The evening menu looked good and I had rather wished we were eating...

We stayed overnight en route to Scotland and it was easy to find. Left M74 at Gretna then quick run via Dumfries. Next day lovely drive through the Lowther hills to rejoin the motorway. Parking is in the road but a couple of spaces in a courtyard to the rear. Pretty well agree with other reviewers: the town is pretty...

We've stayed here many times as the food is excellent, rooms and en suites are designed for giants and the staff are very friendly and efficient. It's graded as a three star but in our opinion it's a top end four star. The prices are very reasonable which is great for us but we would gladly pay more! The location is...

We stayed here for one night and was surprised how spacious the rooms were. The queensberry room had a good sized bed and the shower was a double sized shower. The only fault I could pick is that the shower wasn't that powerful. We couldnt believe that the boughton room which my brother & sister in law stayed in had...

Last minute stay. The warm friendly staff couldn't have made us feel more welcome. We were able to have dinner in our room which was brilliant (and not limited to a room service menu). Gorgeous linen, towels, fluffy bath robes, even a proper tea pot. Breakfast was fantastic. Great value. We'd definitely stay again.
