Detailed Reviews
Recently attended a work event at Flowerdale Estate. The food at the restaurant was high quality, fresh, presented well with generous portion size. The wine list had some great quality bottles at a reasonable price. The hotel room was cavernous with little furniture in it, much of it quite dated. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet and car parking nearby. The grounds of this property are very pretty and very well maintained. One thing of note was the exceptional customer service with the staff going the extra mile to make sure the event went very well. I like this venue and will certainly be using it again.

Today my partner and I took my parents to Gracies at Flowerdale Estate for a Devonshire Tea. The Devonshire Tea is only $15pp and includes 2 scones (with jam and cream of course) and a cuppa each - but Mum also got a pavlova and loved it, so hubby and I shared a serving of churros, also delicious. The scones were lovely and "fluffy" and the jam tasted homemade and the cream was nice too. A lovely place, we had requested a window table and got a fantastic table looking through a gorgeous window to the lovely outdoors. Then we walked around the gorgeous grounds. All in all a fantastic day and I highly recommend going there for afternoon tea - or even a main meal. We'll be back!

We have just attended a 60th birthday at the Flowerdale Estate. The venue was magical and Maria and her team went out of their way to make it a special occasion. The food, service and hospitality were outstanding and our accommodation and breakfast the next morning were just perfect. We will certainly be returning. Thank you Maria for a perfect weekend.

terrible signage driving in, there is no sign in this sprawling estate for the resturant until you are at the door. Stood there for 3 minutes while the waitress starred at the screen without looking up once. Asked what we would like to drink within seconds of sitting before we could even open the drinks list. I ordered Lamb shanks and received ONE small shank with a bit of gravy, no pumpkin as listed on the menu but one small carrot, no mash or anything else. finished in 4 minutes and still hungry and $34 poorer. My wifes wine was corked or at least was opend several weeks ago, woeful. wont be back.

This is a lovely setting, we had a very enjoyable dinner, staff were all lovely but the rooms are awful, felt grotty. We had to ask for another room as the heater was not working, the toilet in that room had not been cleaned, left unflushed, this is inexcuseable! These rooms smell mouldy & need to be refurbished, carpet & drapes just awful. Don't expect to be able to watch a movie or the footy, shocking reception, supposed to have Foxtel but no access to anything. All I did was find myself missing my home comforts in these rooms. Come for dinner but don't waste your money on overnight accommodation.

We had a present from our children- one night accommodation with wine, dinner and breakfast. We also booked lunch on our arrival in local restaurant. The place is very nice to rest. All buildings are in old Victorian style.Room is large in same style ( I would recommend maybe some bathroom renovation). Estate has covered tennis court, barbecue spot and covered swimming pool.
Probably no more activities inside of estate except short walks around or driving to some vineyards around.

Recently attended a wedding here. The venue was beautiful, unfortunately the weather didn’t hold out, but the hosts were accommodating. We booked accommodation on site, which were nice big rustic rooms. Plenty of on site parking and beautiful grounds.

Our experience at the Flowerdale Estate was fantastic, we had a totally relaxed afternoon before a scrumptous gourmet BBQ and listening to a band on the lawn, and after a peaceful comfortable nights sleep we had a yummy breakfast.
The staff could not do enough to make our stay more comfortable. They were amazing. Will definatley be returning.

Venue booked for a wedding, with many guests staying overnight in the accommodation. The rooms are a good size, clean (the room my nephew and niece had was very smelly but others were ok), with nice views. However, we were advised that we all had to check out by 0900, which was not their advertised check-out time, because another large group was expected the following day. I’ve never been forced to check out of any accommodation by 0900 and given that check-in is 2pm, and the amount of money they made from our group, it just made everyone feel a bit ripped-off. Likewise, because their tap water tastes disgusting, they provided a meagre 2 bottles of water per room, but didn’t even bother to have the fridges turned on, so that the water, and any drinks or snacks guests may have brought could be chilled. Buffet breakfast in the restaurant was adequate, though pretty uninspired, and staff were very slow to refill the Bain Marie when empty, so some people ended up with a few cold, greasy scraps, while others had to stand around until somebody could draw staff attention. Overall, a mean-spirited, grudging sort of atmosphere. I would not return and would not recommend it to anyone else.
