We stayed in Scots Pine Lodge last year for two weeks and based on the experience, shortly after we arrived home we booked a three-week stay for this year. This time, we arranged for a three-week stay next year -- while we were still in Croy. It is an incredibly special place. Eleanor and Donald have packaged up a piece...

I don't even know where to start in describing the lodge and location! We stayed for 4 weeks and it was absolutely beautiful - in the most idyllic setting you can imagine. Well located and well stocked, the lodge had everything you could imagine from a picnic hamper to binoculars to watch the birds, coloring books to relax with and...

We stayed at the Scots Pine Lodge for four nights in early July, the two identical Lodges are tucked away on the edge of a little wood with views out over the Moray Firth some 5 miles or so away. On entering you are immediately struck by quality of everything to do with the lodge from its fixtures and fittings...

The term luxury is overused in many descriptions for properties, however, it is very much deserved here. Every detail has been considered, the property amazingly well maintained and clean - and then there are several extra touches that go that extra mile. I would definitely recommend a stay. (for those that may wonder - there is mobile signal at the...

My husband and I stayed in the silver birch lodge for our week long honeymoon. The lodge was more than we could have expected; incredible views, cosy feel, fire, jacuzzi and in a brilliant location. The generous welcome pack we received on arrival was a lovely touch. One of the highlights for us was the wildlife surrounding the lodge, watching...

We have just returned from a weekend break in the Silver Birch Lodge and loved it! So peaceful and relaxing and the Lodge was immaculate. So much thought has been put into making sure the Lodge has absolutely everything you would need for a home from home. The Lodge was beautifully clean and Eleanor couldn't have been more helpful. We...

We spent two wonderful weeks at Scots Pine Lodge. The views were great, the wildlife was amusing and interesting, the peacefulness was outstanding and the relaxation was total. AND, the furnishings were comfortable and visually pleasing, the location was convenient for many, many activities in the Highlands and the hosts were most welcoming. The website is 100% completely, totally accurate....

Literally the most welcoming and perfect accommodation we have ever experienced. Extremely well- equipped - attention is evidently paid to the very last detail! On arrival after a long journey it was fantastic to arrive to a lovely warm and beautiful house, with tasty treats to welcome us such as smoked salmon, red wine, chocolate, strawberries and champagne!!! I don't think there was anything we could fault about our week-long stay in Silver Birch lodge! On arrival, we had no difficulty in finding the lodge from the instructions emailed to us by Eleanor; picking up the key was made easy by it being in a key-safe on the wall of the building, so arrival time was entirely flexible....

“As there are only 2 lodges this isn't an issue - both are identical and have a very similar outlook and setting. There is possibly a SLIGHTLY better view from Scot's Pine, which appeared to have slightly fewer trees to obstruct the view over the lake and estuary, but then again, we had to drive past this lodge to reach Silver Birch, so the residents there MAY have felt that was less preferable?! My advice? If one is already booked, book the other - you won't be disappointed!”
