The location of this hotel is good, but there is a café around the corner that creates a lot of noise, our room had only cold water, the breakfast was very poor, there is an unpleasant smell in the corridors. One advantage: a lot of parking space for the car.

Nice and helpful reception in this provincial town. Free wifi in the lobby also for non guests as one of the few placed in Polatsk. Reception allows to charge cell phones. € 20 for a single room. Unexciting but good value for money. Indoor café.

For the only hotel in Polotsk, this could be alot worse. It is ex-Soviet in every way - style, features and service (though one receptionist spends his summers in Holland and has a better grasp of service than the others). The restaurant was good, prices fair but the group dancing (local culture) was somewhat off putting. The rooms are simple...

Room (suite) was renovated in an awful manner which crashes all would-be-dream stylish details of the past. High ceiling cut down twice in height, holding “modern” (i.e. Chinese trash design) bulbs. Anticipated real oak floors should be either stolen or nailed over by cheap plastics and laminate. Furniture is made with all-round synthetics. Shampoo is packed in small soft plastics...

From outside the hotel looks exactly as it should look like: Stalin's empire style building with pillars, large windows and granite stages. Spacious hall, broad staircase with red carpet, big restaurant, polite staff. And room price is very moderate. Pomposity and the spirit ends as soon as you enter your room. It is tiny (even the Suite room), with tasteless...

“Take suites only. Staying into a standard room may risk you a stranger knocking your door in the mid-night. Old Soviet practice of adding sharing guest to single-occupancy room is still used here. Check double that point before paying for single. It may turn to be a single bed into 2 or 3 beds room ”

“Choose a Suite room, it costs less the a hundred USD per room, but of course looks better then standard rooms. There are only 2 suites (Luxe rooms) in the hotel.”
