Stayed with friends in October. What a relaxing, peaceful and gorgeous setting. The house and grounds are stunning and all open for guests to wander round and use the various rooms within the main house. Accommodation in the chalets was comfortable, warm and has a well equipped kitchen. Plenty of places to visit locally, easily enough to fill a week.

Stouts Hill is an old British Country House on about 25 acres that was converted into a timeshare years ago. It's run by the owners themselves. We have owners for 20+ years. We keep coming back, usually twice a year. Weeks when apartments are unoccupied can be rented at very reasonable dates by the general public. Although the main house...

We were in apartment 4 on the second floor of the main house. Although there were about 30 stairs to climb, the views were fantastic. It is worth being aware of this if you are allocated rooms 1-4 and you have any mobility difficulties. The 2 bedroomed apartment had the following: a large bathroom with over-bath shower and an en-suite...

We recently stayed in the Stouts Hill Inn with my brother- and sister-in-law for 5 days. This is a 1743 manor home that was converted to a "public" school in later years, remaining a school until 1979. My brother-in-law boarded there from the age of 9-14 in 1944-48. It was fascinating to have him tell us all about the school,...

We were one of the first owners of a timeshare at Stouts Hill and apart from a couple of years we have visited every year. My grown up children love it here and always take the week off to visit. We have an apartment in the main house in April and have numerous parties etc. in the dining room with...

My apt is #1, the best in the manor--2 bedrooms, fp, kitchen, sleeps 6, with views of the side hills and back gardens. It has wine glasses and bone china, tv, dvd player, 2 baths. The manor proper includes the most beautiful dining room (where they host Wed eve dinners, provided for 21GBP by a local castle--Owlpen). There is a...

We just love it here and we have been coming once a year since 2003, it is just perfect for families and couples very quiet and in a perfect location ideally situated for most of the Cotswolds. The pool is not huge but sufficient, it has a well stocked games room, pool, darts, table tennis, air hockey, a laundry, a...

Lovely two bedroom apartment overlooking the croquet lawn, although it was too soggy to venture onto it. Decent pair of snooker tables almost always empty with pool table and darts etc in room below. Small pool but no real changing space for more than one at a time so changing in the apartment and walking across seemed a better bet....

We took one of the purpose built apartments for a family get together, something we have done for several years now. The apartments are comfortable and well thought out, the beds excellent ( even for those with back problems ) and the location beautiful , the staff are friendly and helpful. It is ideally situated for walking with Uley Bury...

A lovely self-catering apartment in a large Georgian manor house, staff very helpful, impressive public rooms and a well stocked honesty bar, very quiet and comfortable at night. Stouts Hill has easy travel to lots of local attractions (Uley itself is a an attractive village). As you may gather we really enjoyed it!
