Friendly, cheerful staff served us craft beers and the famous pies. The food was served piping hot and the pies were delicious , the...

Absolutely fabulous food. The award winning pies were definitely award winning and the service topped it off perfectly. They even did a pick up and drop off home service which made it even better. They were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was lovely and food delicious.

There was ample off road parking. Bedrooms were in a single storey annex and of reasonable size, clean and basically furnished with Wi-Fi. The food in the restaurant was of good quality and plentiful, the service was good and friendly. Well positioned for visiting Gloucester, The Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley. The bedroom walls were a bit thin....

I am a returning customer and I will keep coming back! Excellent food, great price and the service is second to none. What more do you want? Book a table and/or go to one of the entertainment evenings that are held regularly and I can assure you that you will not be disappointed! 5*

Stayed 20th Feb to 22nd in En-Suite Double room. Room was clean and tidy with a decent shower always a bonus. We ate in the main building both nights. The food was good but a little pricier than we are used to. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Breakfasts were very good with a reasonable choice, could just of done...

Fabulous staff. Great food. Clean comfortable accomodation in fabulous surroundings. What more can you ask for. We stayed overnight. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff went the extra mile when some of our party were held up getting to breakfast. Would definately reccomend.

A first class overnight stay, very friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much bother for them. The rooms were clean and inviting, comfy bed and a decent shower that does more than dribble like some places I've stayed in, Highly recommended.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Simply put, we love food. Not just for what it is, but for the experience that accompanies it. Homely surroundings, great company and conversation, attentive waiters, who become friends and of course fine wines from around the world. After a evening of gastro food delights, gourmet pies and laughter infront of the open fire retire to our courtyard of boutique individually designed rooms and drift off, to wake up to the sounds, sights and smells of the idyllic gloucestershire countryside. Followed of course by a hearty breakfast and maybe a stroll up the majestic May Hill ... more   less
