We had a warm welcome on arrival. The bed was very comfortable with tea making facilities in the room. We enjoyed a very good dinner. Following morning went to see the amazing Severn bore, returning back to Farmers Boy for breakfast.

We pulled into the car park, and noticed the rustic countryside pub. We parked up and entered into the pub to check into our room, a warm and friendly welcome and we were checked in within a matter of minutes. We were shown to our room which was a annex building split into several or more rooms, the staff member...

My friend and I stayed for one night at the Farmer's Boy Inn in Gloucestershire because we wanted a base to explore the gorgeous area along with Gloucester Quays, which is only 15 mins drive away! The staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. We arrived early and, having got a bit lost in finding Tintern Abbey, needed directions and Darren...

Accommodation was pleasant and set in a court yard behind the pub. Clean and enough space. Plenty of room in the bathroom. Pub had a local feel. Phil and the gang work hard to make everyone welcome. Food was great, both Dinner and Breakfast. I would recommend the Bacon and Poached Eggs for Breakfast and the fish from the specials...

We stayed here for 1 night in April. The accommodation was what we were expecting - a small room with an en-suite, although very over priced at £95 a night! Could do with some re-decorating and more care could be taken with the little things, i.e. cups were dirty, kettle was filled with limescale, the wires from the TV could...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Simply put, we love food. Not just for what it is, but for the experience that accompanies it. Homely surroundings, great company and conversation, attentive waiters, who become friends and of course fine wines from around the world. After a evening of gastro food delights, gourmet pies and laughter infront of the open fire retire to our courtyard of boutique individually designed rooms and drift off, to wake up to the sounds, sights and smells of the idyllic gloucestershire countryside. Followed of course by a hearty breakfast and maybe a stroll up the majestic May Hill ... more   less
