This is the second year we have stayed over following the Royal International Air Tattoo where we are volunteers. The staff are very friendly, food was excellent (the head chef was sat with us so it shows how good the team is) and the rooms well proportioned. Would recommend this to everyone, though best to book a table well in...

Visited with my husband and 9 month old labrador last winter. I chose this place as it was advertised as dog friendly - which it truly was! We stayed in one of the annex rooms. Our pup was able to sit with us in the pub whilst we ate our dinner. So we had decent food and mutliple drinks with...

A lovely idilic setting. We were staying over for a family event. The bar food was very good and plenty of it. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. There was no facilities to charge anything that needed recharging. One of the towels had a big yellow stain. There was poor water pressure so the shower was just...

This is such a lovely old country pub, very quaint, fantastic beers (so my other half says), lovely wine and good food. The rooms are in a separate building to the side of the pub and although not that big are very good, well-furnished, clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, lovely thick fluffy towels. The staff are all really nice and friendly...

On a sunny Sunday afternoon there can be few more idyllic spots for a cold cider in a quintessentially English countryside setting. The food offering however is also quintessentially English circa 1980. The menu sounds fabulous with many contemporary flourishes and interesting vegetarian offerings which sound so much more original than the ubiquitous mushroom risotto but sadly the descriptions are...

The Crown Inn was chosen by our book club to stay for the bank holiday weekend. We are keen walkers and wanted to do the Laurie Lee wildlife walk as well as exploring locally. The Inn offered accommodation for all fourteen of us and two dogs! What a fabulous setting and delightful hosts. The rooms were all well appointed with...

We stopped here for one nights B&B and evening meal on our way home from Devon. What a delightful old building, set in the Gloucester countryside. Seating outside, which proved very popular on a sunny spring day. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, and provided the usual storage space and tea/coffee making facilities. There was a shower over the bath which would...
